  1. D Brown is a bad man and not taking anything away from him, but Tet is the biggest *potential* game wrecker this team has drafted since Cam. Just let that sink in.
  2. XL has upside for days. The question has always been: Does he possess the aptitude and desire to realize his true potential. The mitigating factor in all of this is his true love of the game and how powerful is his competitive spirit. Does he truly love football? Only he knows the real answer to this question and it is those 2 qualities that will determine his success. Before choosing a dude in the first 3 rounds, the answer to those questions better be obvious. Doubters, myself included are salty over the fact that anyone who has payed attention to football for a few years could see this coming. How many 1 year wonder first round picks have turned in to all-pro players? which is the goal in any team’s first round selection…. And then they go and pick an RB coming off a major knee injury. Of all positions to have picked a dude coming off of a major knee injury and they choose RB? It was just so f-in stupid, and very Tepper/Fitt like. It’s like buying a near totaled Lambo at full sticker price. It had to of been ALL Tepp/fitt. I refuse to believe Dan would have been that dumb.
  3. Consistently successful franchises do not whif first and second rounders. It’s just simply not allowed. They pick major college program dudes who were consistently studs throughout their tenure and don’t have an injury history. They pick big impact positions in early rounds and they go LB, safety, RB in later rounds unless there is a true stud that fell to them. Look at this year thus far with us. Undisputed best WR in the draft and then 2 edge guys from big schools. First 3 rounds. How’s that shaping up? It’s not really THAT hard. Pick the damn obvious pick in the first 2 rounds…. but we’ve drafted out of desperation, reached for the high measurables teachable workout warriors who then don’t amount to anything…. And then double down on it the next year.
  4. I don’t see it happening either, which is good. We need to continue the young talent infusion.
  5. Another contributing factor is bringing in dudes that are more ‘football smart,’ not just workout warriors and tell them ‘go get man who holding on to football.’ Boom plays better downhill. Tell him what to do and he’ll give his all. He’s not a green dot kind of guy. He’s not a great coverage guy (how many LBs are?) but he’s decent at pass rush and playing the run. He’s got a little wild man to him and I can appreciate that. Many will disagree, but I consider him to be a high motor JAG currently. Now to get Evero to dial up some better blitz pressure.
  6. That entire defense is going to be playing for Steve. Believe that.
  7. Dan said they were going to stop the run. Dan got intelligent players who play the run well. 95 got healthy. This team has now shut down some very good RBs.
  8. It’s the same thing EVERY time we play the boys in the regular season. Horseshit refs
  9. I can’t be mad at Horn. That was just a hell of a pass.
  10. If the pass rush can get to Dak early and often, I actually like our chances.
  11. The 2025 draft felt COMPLETELY different than in years past. They selected the obvious dudes. Nothing cute or weird. No head scratchers. The Tet pick had some initial detractors, but to see what he already is and is going to become… 100% blue chip game breaker. He’s probably already racked up over 100 yards in just PI calls alone. The last time the Panthers picked a dude who from his first NFL regular season snap showed elite talent… was Cam. Just think about that. Scourton is already flashing potential 5 games in to his NFL career. He looks like he is going to be a very solid piece if not more. If nothing else, he’s not a liability. I haven’t paid much attention to Princely but I don’t recall him getting beaten anywhere near as badly as Burns used to. For a 7th round pick, Horn has already surpassed his draft position expectations (which for 7th rounders ain’t much). Is this due to true potential or are we just that damn desperate? Maybe both? I guess where I am going with my rambling is that this last draft WAS different. Good different? I feel like it was but that may be my naturally optimistic bend. they did not go after tweener, injured projects. They got dudes to play their natural position from big schools whose game looks like it’ll translate to the NFL at impact positions. How good (or bad) it truly was won’t be known for another couple years, but at least they went about it differently this year.
  12. He reminds me of a Hurney first rounder.
  13. It’s painful man, trust me. Moments I’d rather not remember. NFC south used to be a dog fight after the Panthers shook it all up in 2003.
  14. JC not this ish again. Brees: 80,000 career passing yards 5 seasons of 5,000+ yards 10 seasons of 30+ TD passes Career completion percentage of 67.7% 37 games where he threw 4 TDs. Best WRs were Colston, Thomas, Cooks, Lance Moore and TE Jimmy Graham/ Shockey. The only first rounder was Shockey (and Bush but he was a RB). Thomas was a stud... drafted with the 47th pick. That was the highest picked WR he threw to. 47th. Graham was a stud. Shockey was a stud. The rest of the receivers would have been jags on most other teams. Brees never had a first round WR to throw to. Colston never even made a pro bowl. Oh, and no spygate to benefit from. Prime Brees was UNBEATABLE in the dome. A bad day for Brees was 2 TDs. He was a 4d chess grand master. Brees has a wallet that probably says bad mf’er. Bryce has a goofy ass backpack. Listen, Drew Brees put up unreal numbers throwing to mostly jags in an era that highlighted running the ball, the receivers could get mugged and QBs got lit the f up on the regular without penalty. Hell, they went so far as to make a tv segment (jacked up!!!) to applaud the violence of the game. He never even had a first round WR. Brees was a better QB than Peyton Manning. There, I said it. Bro is on the short list for best QB ever. This is facts with some of my own personal opinion mixed in, but mostly facts. Those who keep pushing this narrative, did y’all actually watch Brees play? His game is in no way similar to Bryce’s. Brees on this team is a deep playoff contender and Tet would look like prime megatron. Im sorry y’all, I know I sound like a complete homer, but when I hear hyperbole that is insultingly obtuse, it gets under my skin.
  15. Bryce needs a cheat code (Chuba, Rico) where he is always playing ahead of the down and distance. It’s the reason why his yardage is always so low. Problem being is that he himself is not capable of playing in god mode, essential in a true franchise guy so high draft capital can be relegated towards the defense.
  16. Was about to say the same thing. DC would rather see his plan work than to win football games… pretty much the anti-adapter to what conditions allow… The ability to adapt is essential to winning consistently in the NFL. His approach is completely backwards and counter to what is actually needed.
  17. I’m an optimist thru and thru. I love any win this team can muster, and Bryce did what he could to keep the team in it, but he’s why the team was out of it to begin with. I like the guy, but he is not… he’s just not it… and I was swayed by the way he finished last season, but his physical limitations will never be overcome. A one arm tackle stopped him in his tracks en route for 6, among several other plays where an even average starter in the league succeeds. A franchise QB is supposed to be his own cheat code. Bryce needs a cheat code dude, that is not him, to win. Chuba CARRIED (literally) his ass last season. Thielen bailed him out EVERY game he played in last season. Today: Rico turned in one of the best games in franchise history, Tet was unguardable and put up at least 100 yards on his own (PI yards included), and the defense basically pitched a shutout after going down big so they could beat one of the worst teams in the NFL.
