  1. Also amazing what a few years of BPA and hitting lotto on scary Terry can do.
  2. Teams know it’s going to him but he still makes play after play after play. He is that dude. He’s a gamer. He doesn’t just get a little open on crucial 3rd downs… he gets a lot open. Like 5 yards open, and he has not let up all season. With Sam still here, he’d feast.
  3. This is why you choose an alpha, grown ass man who can make every throw as your QB1. it should be the baseline. Pair him up with a stud center and LT and put guys around him who can catch the damn ball. Sam saw ghosts because he got the piss knocked out of him every week. He probably played half the time with a concussion. I bet his eyesight wasn’t exactly 20/20. He didn’t need a team of superstars, but he got fortunate. I’m happy for him. I like Bryce, but physics is physics. eventually injury will come his way. I wouldn’t put money on him having a 10 year NFL career.
  4. 2 straight seasons of BPA, hopefully luck your way in to 3-4 blue chip players and change the entire complexion of the team in the process. To create an un-panthers like team requires un-panthers like moves. No more draft for need. They always over reach and they always bomb their early picks. I think Dan goes BPA unless Tep weasels his way in again.
  5. This was as big of a tank game as I can remember. Shut down the guy who keeps the offense rolling and call nothing but down field shots when most of your line struggles in pass pro.
  6. The NFL ruined this franchise the moment they implanted Tepper as the owner. No ties to the team or location at all.
  7. I guess it’s obvious how important Chuba is to this team. Imagine him and Thielen missing time together…
  8. I’m really not a sensitive guy, but it seemed like he enjoyed it. We deserved it, no doubt, but he was much less analytical with us than I was looking forward to. I didn’t expect rosy commentary, but with his football IQ, I thought it would have been different.
  9. Love Greg, but it felt like he bagged on us a lot this past game so my petty has come out of hiding some.
  10. Teams, panthers especially, who annually draft a guy they think will save their franchise from the doldrums are rewarded a continuing fate. Winning franchises draft boring lineman, stop the run and get after the QB. They pass protect and coach up good QB to be great QBs. They stack good talent next to elite talent. This team is far from that point. Roll with Nice Young, build the team and the culture and see if he continues to grow. Burrow, Cam, Stafford, Allen… unicorns. 99.9% of QBs don’t take that kind of beating and still win games.
  11. I like Higgins, but I like locking up our home grown talent in Horn better. Finding a top 5 cover CB that plays the run like a DAWG is immensely more challenging than finding a #1 WR. Higgins can help the team chase the points they’ll need if the defense continues to play like it does. They shouldn’t have to score 30+ every game to give them a chance to win. I’m also tired of KNOWING an L is eminent when the other team runs its 2 minute offense to close the game out. Higgins is a baller and is a #1 wr, no doubt, but resources are desperately needed on defense.
  12. Stud. Absolute stud. The man put in work, got PAID, and continues to go hard. Winner. Good reason why Dan locked him up. He earned every penny.
  13. A team praying to draft it’s savior is likely to find itself in the same unfortunate circumstances, season in and season out.
  14. My biggest takeaway: He was clearly uncomfortable with the spotlight. The man isn’t doing what he has done all year for recognition. He’s doing it because he wants to win. I love it. Team.
  15. I respect Ron and the players did too. He’s nothing but class and welcome back any time.
  16. Until this defense can stop giving up 200+ yards a game on the ground, I don’t want to talk about offensive additions.
  17. Just imaging how many 3rd down conversions a stone hands WR1 will cost a team in a season. 2 missed conversions in a tight game is the difference between winning and losing.
  18. This team has long had an allergy to the obvious pick. They take an XL and think they can coach him up to be the next megaton or DK. Brooks to be the next Peterson. Burns to be the next LT. They pick dudes and play them outside of their natural position. They draft for need, get desperate, pick the flawed guy, and the results speak for themselves. They go to the store jonesing for a ribeye, the store is sold out except for the ‘manager’s special’ … and end up with a toilet of puke later that night… whereas the filet that was sitting right next to it got some other dude laid. The obvious pick with no need of coaching up has done them pretty well. Moose. Peppers. Kuechly. Davis. Gross. Jenkins, etc. Sometimes obvious is just obvious. Consistently missing on first and second rounders gets them exactly where they are. Loser teams, devoid of talent and a revolving door at head coach. WR: Pick the guy who can catch the damn ball. DE: pick the guy who can play the run well. Pass rush is nice, but playing the run is better. center: smart big guy who doesn’t miss assignments. tackle: good pass protector first. Run blocker second. If you have a really good QB and receivers that can catch, the running game will open itself up by default. It’s not THAT hard, right? Diamonds in the rough are usually only quartz. Stop picking up dudes whose flaw is THE primary skill required for their position, thinking that you’ve got some sort of magical staff. Go BPA with the healthy guy who just flat out gets it done better than anyone else still available…. Except for a RB or special teamer. Yes BPA is boring, but it stacks the team with legit talent and men who can do their damn job. That’s what I’m going to call their reaches from now on. The f-in manager’s special. Break out the cast iron griddle, Montreal steak seasoning, and some avocado oil, boys.
  19. I can agree, but they spit the hook before it was too late.
  20. There is always more that goes unreported than what actually is. I’m just glad that the Panthers as desperate as they were never took the bait.
