Truth. Even in losing, it was a respectable effort. The defense always set the tone. Fox and Rivera were very similar that way. Nobody ran on this defense like EVERYBODY does now. Those teams, if nothing else, would stop the run. This new ish is just demoralizing.

We hired Canales because he doesn’t intimidate Tepp. Wilks had this team playing harder with 1 week on the job while doing it HIS way than every other coach we’ve had since Tepp bought the team. At least the team played like they had dignity. I don’t know what the hell I just watched. It just takes a different kind of captain to steer this garbage barge through the ish storm it currently finds itself in.

Another opener where they’ve looked completely lost and unprepared. There is not a single thing that looks improved from last season.

Defense gives up 75 yards on the ground. 3 sacks and a FF. Difference makers: Horn, Brown, Travis (rips off a few big runs) and D Moore.

I don’t see how a general surgeon would clear him for football type contact in anything less than 3 weeks. Even 3 is being aggressive. My thinking is 4. 1. Dude is going to get smashed in his abdomen every play the moment he gets on the field. Believe that. Defenders are not going to feel the least bit sorry for him. 2. Trying to handle the speed rushers after getting shanked in the abdomen a few times by something the size of a screwdriver… that’s going to take a while. Any jarring motion is typically very painful. Now this all applies to mere mortals and NFL gladiators are on another level so we’ll see. This is the most cursed franchise I’ve ever seen.

Complete speculation, but what if it was “daddy I want to go back home.” “I really miss my friends and cousins.” Or “hey hun, I really miss it back home.” Do they have any family in Charlotte? Where do the grandparents live? Were they putting heat out. What sort of health are their folks in? What man that has a conscience could fade heat like that and stay put in a foreign land when he don’t gotta? They have plenty of money. He doesn’t play because he’s broke and has to. Just saying that there could have been non-football motivation at play.

So for now Coker, our 2nd year UDFA, is by default the most reliable WR on this team?! You serious, Clark? You know he is low key celebrating this. Until Tet takes a true NFL snap, Coker has the highest floor in the team as Tet is an unknown. I feel like Tet will be a dawg for us, but again, it’s still an unknown. Knowing that Thielen was out may have influenced them keeping Moore. It’s going to be fun to see this play out.

Glad to see we don’t play MN this year because AT would MURDER our defense. He would beat the brakes off of em.

Thielen drew the most respect from opposing defenses and opened things up for XL and Coker. I see Tet now being that guy. I sincerely hope someone steps up to being the 3rd down conversion master that Thielen was.

Ratio of UGA fans to Falcons fans outside of Atlanta is at least 20:1. Even in the city UGA dominates. Hell, there are probably more Bama fans here than Falcons. Old school SEC states are a tough sell for pro football.

David Moore still has decent wheels, rarely drops a pass and knows how to get open for 6 in the red zone. He and Bryce have a good working chemistry. He may surprise some when he makes the final 53.

I’m hyped, just as I always am for game 1. my wife will probably tell me to turn it down a few times.
