  1. T Mac is a got dang specimen. What an incredible pick.
  2. Game wrecking WRs are HARD to find and they almost never hit the free market in their prime. There is a reason why brinks trucks show up come contract time. It’s just a much more valuable position where the best are still breaking defenses long after an RB has reached his expiration date. Is Tet going to be a better football player than CMC? Don’t know, yet to be seen. That’s a really high bar as CMC looks like he’s headed for the HOF. I’m looking at the value side. If/when Tet turns in to a top 10 wr and they pick up his 5th yr option, will they flinch at turning him in to a 100 million dollar man? Absolutely not. Should you do that with CMC? Absolutely not. Would you extend Tet in yr 9 for 2 more years if he’s still that guy? Damn right you would. It’s not saying who the better player is. It’s what’s the better pick. WR > RB.
  3. Exactly this. I’m overjoyed to see them playing meaningful games but I need to see them handle success. Thus far they have shown 0 ability to do so.
  4. As good as C Mac is, a dominating WR is worth far more than an RB. Burns was more of a liability than an asset in his time here. He could have been so much more. I’m sure there were, but I can’t remember a single game that Burns closed a game out. I saw plenty where he was used and abused by blocking TEs while teams ran right at him. I like DJ but he was never a true game breaker. He’s really good and put up good stats, but never dominated. Tet is on the precipice of taking games over.
  5. I don’t know why I was thinking Luke was drafted before Cam. Tet, as beastly as he’s been, is a galaxy away from topping Luke’s value.
  6. Cherelus, Moehrig and Boom. Cherelus looked like a straight up goon today. The loss of Luvu left a huge void and it’s good to see it back again.
  7. Best round one pick since Cam. Just let that sink in. Nic gets better with each game. Dan and co SLAMMED the first 2 picks.
  8. Grupo can REALLY sing. look up the lyrics. Cuts deep.
  9. BEWARE the siren call of the attractive, single never married woman in her 30s+. There is always a reason for it.
  10. Nice work! I’ve been watching these for the past few months.
  11. I want to get better at my Spanish just so I can understand more of his songs. Dude can really sing.
  12. Devastating. Mom’s family is from Ocho Rios which was mostly spared, thankfully. I will say this, if you’ve never seen an angry and motivated Jamaican, you don’t know the true meaning of no F’s given. Hardest working people I’ve ever known. This storm doesn’t know just who it messed with. They’ll get poo done.
  13. I hope this helps anyone who may yet to encounter it. Shingles is awful. Can be anywhere from mild to devastating. I’ve seen eye involvement but it’s rare. I personally had a small eruption on my lower abdomen about 10 years ago. It’s very important to seek treatment at onset, even if it means going to urgent care or the ER if you can’t get in with your primary doc right away. Although rare, there is a chance of chronic pain if treated late/never. Improvement in pain usually takes several weeks to months. It is contagious to those who are unvaccinated (or had the old Zostavax. It sucked and didn’t work) or have never had chicken pox, but transmission is through direct contact of the fluid inside the blisters. Once they crust over, you’re deemed to no longer be contagious but don’t press your luck. before outbreak is visible, you may notice an isolated area of skin that is very hypersensitive/itchy to light touch. It will be a band-like distribution and does not cross the midline of the body unless it’s in the from-unda (yikes). Over the next few days comes the rash and then blisters. I have seen one case that never rashed out but that’s otherwise unheard of. The Shingrix is a very effective vaccine and I have yet to see a patient who had it but got shingles anyway. Yes, the vaccine CAN make you feel like absolute poo but I have a lot of peeps who do fine. I have seen a correlation with my overly dramatic types and their reported severity of symptoms, but not always, so take that for what it’s worth. Gabapentin/Lyrica can help some but pain will still be awful. Some more compassionate docs will often write a few hydrocodone or percocet. Topicals don’t help. Hope you feel better soon.
  14. Here’s what really gets me. Height is what it is and there’s nothing he can do about that, but my guy just looks smooth. Not muscular at all, and it has not changed in 2.5 seasons. He looks exactly the same from his first day of training camp. He could have EASILY put 20 lbs of solid muscle on by now, and it would have really helped his throwing strength, but he hasn’t. He either doesn’t see his lack of strength as an issue or he doesn’t care enough to do something about it. Either way, completely unacceptable. At least show that you’re trying, bro. I can’t come up with 1 thing he has shown marked improvement in since being drafted.
  15. Nothing like publicly slapping the hand of an emerging team leader who is trying to establish a culture of accountability. Good stuff Dave.
  16. These dudes want to win games and they know the talent is there to do so. They all can see that QB is holding back the entire team. The longer the QB quagmire continues (alliteration), the more frustrated the players will become, especially if no honest effort is made to improve the situation. I respect honesty. It’s a core tenant of leadership. Placations breed stagnation and regression, which is one of the central issues plaguing this franchise. To me, it’s 100% right to call out the behavior publicly, just not the guilty player(s). That’s over the line.
  17. If you were handling business then players would not feel compelled to do so, Dave… but you’re just not good at this being a leader of men thing. With every game that you play Bryce, you’re taking money out of 52 other players’ bank accounts. They’re either trying to make incentives on their current deal or trying to ball out so they can cash in on contract #2 which hopefully sets them up for life. I don’t think he even sees it that way. BY holds the entire team back. Purposely not putting the team in the best place to win is a gigantic F you to the entire team (coaches included). Starting Bryce at this point is an atomic bomb on morale.
  18. It’s the only sense I can make of it… or, they took BY’s ‘resurgence’ to finish last season as a sign that he had taken the next step and that Andy had played a big role in his maturation and keeping Andy would fit that narrative. The latter was my take when the season started, but I can’t help but come up with another possibility with the current state of affairs.
