  1. This may be true but we also win it with andy dalton starting. Saying this more as a take on just how bad young is.
  2. I am not sure he could be worse than bryce but would easily give us the worse qb room in the nfl
  3. Makes me wonder how thielens stats would have been this year with even an average qb.
  4. The NFC south was terrible with Stroud the panthers win the division and are in the playoffs and reich is coach of the year candidate. Stroud looks like a once every 5 or 10 year talent at qb. young looks like an undrafted rookie if texans took him they are 3 wins and trying to run every play.
  5. Doubt he signs with Atlanta he is probably scared to face Young twice a year.
  6. I think it would be interesting to have an average Joe league where it was semi reality and sport in one. Basically take a group of guys from the gym or even non athletic dudes local to an area spend 2 months training and have them play very similiar type team of just coached up somewhat inshape out of shape dudes would be interesting at least.
  7. Spot on if the panthers had made stroud the pic reich is still head coach and they are in the playoffs this year. If texans had taken young they win 3 or 4 games.
  8. I agree below is his stats before Stroud. He was an afterthought stroud powered him to his best year ever by far. Texans receivers on paper at the beginning of the year looked arguably worse than the panthers at the beginning of the year, but a great QB makes things happen.
  9. Your post has me wondering if moore had not been traded but the panthers somehow still ended up with young what kinda year would he had had compared to his season with the bears.
  10. Anyone that honestly thinks the texans team in the playoffs today has way better receivers than the panthers please look at the names lined up and look at the stats prior to stroud. Stroud took bench warmer wrs and giving them 100 plus yard games ever week. Dell was their star and he goes down and stroud makes the next guy up a star. Dell was also a rookie 3rd rounder a great qb makes everyon better. Young kills careers around him same as clausen and wienke
  11. Profootball talk (nbc owned) talks about it in their article the nfl gets alot of freebies from the government bc they are suppose to allow the entire country free access to view but until congress cracks down on it the nfl will keep selling games behind pay walls
  12. The panthers were 27th in red zone defense, 29th in scoring defense, 15th in third down defense. 4th in total yards per game. You could look only at the yards per game and think it was an amazing defense or you could look more at the other categories and believe it needed improvement. To me it seemed like just about anytime the other team needed to make a play they did.
  13. Teams did not have to try to score very often on us they would score quickly then run the ball alot to run the clock down. If an opposing team scored 10 points the rest of the game they could sit on the lead and just burn the clock. I cant remember them coming up with many goal line stops or big 4th down stops or a ton of takeaways.
  14. he really was robbed of the probowl the guy from arizona that got chosen over him has none of his stats or success on the field
  15. So does this mean our offensive coordinator was actually really good but just lacked skill players? Bryce young held him back? A great d coordinator finds ways of creating pressure. With all that said not alot of teams passed alot against the panthers b/c if they scored a td they could just run the ball and the clock the rest of the game b/c the offense was terrible. Not alot of obvious passing situations that would allow the defense to bring the pressure
  16. Having an offense this terrible lets the defense look alot better than it really is. Teams can sit on a small lead and play it conservatively b/c they know no chance the panthers score. I look at it as more everytime the panthers terrible offense actually put up decent points the defense still allowed the opposing offense to put up more .
  17. I would go with 2023 b/c the team seemed to get worse as the year went on.
  18. Sounds like my kids making an excuse on why they couldnt behave like adults and be responsible for their own actions and control their emotions. If Tepper wants to start throwing drinks on every fan that says something to offend him he better start just soaking the entire panther stadium every week b/c not sure many fans are talking positively about him anymore.
  19. Washingtons qb laid an egg he looked horrible missing tons of open recievers in the national championship
  20. I just read harbaugh was 44 19 1 in the nfl and has a career coaching record of 161 65 1 . I dont think he would come here but thats pretty impressive.
  21. Wonder if this means the new GM and Coach will show less loyalty to Young since they have no responsibility for picking him if so he may not last the entire year next year.
  22. Young set an nfl record on the season for lowest ypa ever.....Dalton averaged right below 7 which is in top 10 of nfl qbs
  23. Agree completly. A decent qb and the games play out totally different. We have all played football at some level when the qb is this terrible it effects everyone even the coaches realize it with the play calling run run run run desperation play have bryce pass and hold your breath and pray for a miracle
  24. Watching the falc saints and bucs play this year i would go as far as to say we win the division hands down. And reich is candidate for coach of the year
