  1. Bill Belichik was also the Bryce Young of coaching, “benched” to defensive back coach before he found his formula
  2. Different eras but Bradshaw and Steve Young were both awful and benched. The one advantage Bryce has over Dalton is the broken play. He overthrew a bunch of these last year. I’m sorry but who cares if Dionte Johnson pouts cause he doesn’t get his measly 70 yards like he’s some Davante Adams. If a legit superstar had gripes, so be it, but this motley crue of WR3’s need to zip it. The only opinions that matter are the OL. If they don’t want to block for Bryce, then your qb decision is made for you.
  3. The market for Justin Fields was a 6th (conditional 4th) to be a backup on a team who needed a qb more than anyone. Fields can still generate some offense while throwing skipping stones. There is absolutely zero market for Bryce unless he has a Matt Flynn week 17
  4. The offense moves better but hardly explosive. Long pass play of 39 yards? Is the bar that low now? The 2nd longest pass was 35 and that was Bryce against NO. Give Bryce a few drives or a half here and there at the least. If I’m Bryce and Canales, if the defense if playing cover 0 or 1 I don’t want to see any pass less than 30 air yards or you’re benched immmediately. That’s his marching orders and if he fails, cut his ass
  5. He’s be serviceable if he treated every game like practice and grew a pair. He guides his throws like a putter with the yips. He would never start over Dalton if the gap in practice was that large
  6. It’s true because Dalton needs a backup. A 4th rounder isn’t worth it if signing Tim Boyle is the alternative
  7. He missed the downfield throws because he was trying too hard. Now that he knows he’s *this* close to playing for The Rock, let’s see some Brett Favre dgaf
  8. That’s fine. He already is almost out of the league, so he needs to have that DGAF attitude and see what happens. Most likely nothing special, but that’s the last resort
  9. He doesn’t need “development” as much as he needs his sack to drop and start slinging it downfield. I’m fine with him playing the second half if Dalton is struggling. Or even some designed runs or rpos to switch it up that Dalton can’t do
  10. Dalton’s immobility is a serious problem and he is regressing. He didn’t get sacked once last game had little to show for it. Dalton is a better pure thrower but there will never be explosive plays. Time for nothing to lose midget ball
  11. Pat White and Kevin White are available as well, but we already got an expensive great college player riding the pine
  12. Dismantled what? Brown and Luvu were the only good players last year and Luvu wasn’t staying. Burns was absolute arm tackling trash that would fit with this current defense perfectly but any Amazon driver can do that for 10% pay
  13. The graph at the end of the game is converging at the mean…. dalton’s stats are interchangeable with Bryce as the timeline increases
  14. So you watched the game last week where no pass went over 12 yards and he held the ball for 2.1 seconds on avg?
  15. they were “good” last week because bryce didn’t let plays develop. Not great week 1. Much better run blocking it seems
  16. How quickly we all forget the Saints Dalton? The offense can’t get any worse for sure, but I think what we may find is the the receivers actually do suck esp Dionte Dropson
  17. Maxx Crosby is licking his chops at a 37 year old statue with only Icky in the way
  18. that should be the Bryce game plan too? But that fails quick when the defense can’t stop a Jv team and false starts and 3rd and 2
  19. If Dalton isn’t a significant upgrade, Bryce will be back in sooner than we think. There would have to be a 3rd rounder and a viable qb given in a trade which probably isn’t happening. Dalton won’t last the rest of the year with Icky. If Bryce comes back with a “f*ck it” gunslinger mentality knowing there’s nothing to lose, and he still blows, then get what you can in a trade or release him
  20. Kurt Warner was Bryce level bad once Faulk waned and it took him 5 years to get back. If Brooks is good and it coincides with a Dalton resurgence take it with a grain of salt
  21. His and Kurt Warners rise just so happened with the arrival of the two best all purpose rbs in the entire history of the nfl. They proved later in their careers they could still play, but a young player having a once in a lifetime rb does wonders
  22. His biggest flaw is the inability to handle fake blitzes. Maybe trying a hard count would help. Or taking off running when he sees the lineman or backers drop off. RPO plays maybe?
