No not that culture- A new culture that needs to be built and supported no matter what your draft order is—no excuses— WIN or make every effort to win now and in the future.
-
We had the #1 overall pick 2 years ago and look how that turned out. I’m cool with winning and building culture- there’s no “Holy Hand Grenade” in this draft so it doesn’t matter if we pick at 1,2…or 5 …(3?)

I am skeptical about Bryce being a guy who can put a team on his back- maybe a team of pee wee players. That said- if he does however shore up the holes in his game and develops and improves along with the offense enough to win some games and make us competitive i’d love it. The goal of any organization- and the desire of its fan base- is to win. As for BY’s future- I don’t think his job should be safe if we notch a couple more wins. We need another option- Challenge the roster as they say and our 1 pick QB should not be immune to that.

Chubba has really grown. I like him a lot. He seems to be a hard worker and a good locker room guy. But we shouldn’t pay him top dollar, especially if Brooks shows potential. We have too many needs to pay too much for a RB.

we might be able to trade him for 7th in 2030 if we throw in our #1 this year!?

I hope i’m missing something- that’s a deal i’d expect for moving David Moore not. our #1. Did we call and offer that to get rid of him, cuz that’s not the deal you take if someone’s calling you …?!?

2 delay of games- clock akways at 1 or 2. Wtf? Great play by Coker

Can’t blame that drop in BY tho- X should have caught that

Yep. Bryce has longer routes being ran. He just can’t see them or doesn’t trust himself.

Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson
Iceup replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
i’ve heard he doesn’t want to sign here. If we’re were to resign him we’d have to overpay. It’s something that we seem to always have to do because of the rep and culture of our leadership and FO in recent years. It’s another reason we really need to focus on getting the draft right and getting players who can actually help us. -
https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/panthers-defensive-line-coach-todd-wash-adjustments-week-5-falcons-derrick-brown-jadeveon-clowney-shy-tuttle Apparently the DL coach is suggesting we may actually play with our fronts. I guess Evero or Canales agree with those of us that thought it might be a good idea. Hopefully even if we can get much pressure maybe we can stop the run a little better. Any improvement would be welcomed.

I agree but it matters some- The nickel ran from an odd front is different. It just swaps (depending on preference) an OLB or an ILB. So it’s like the 3-3-5 Snow employed. A nickel from the even front typically is 4-2-5. With the nickel usually Replacing the weak or strong side backer. Our Personnel probably will not make either work as was noted. I wouldn’t mind them trying some stuff out though. What do we have to lose at this point. Let Lawson and Haynes put their hands down and play those 3 Young backers and let’s see if it helps.

He will definitely rotate in on likely passing downs. Not sure how well he fit with Ejiro- Most of his success came in even fronts if i remember it right. hopefully he adds a spark!

I remember when we had LUKE in the scouting dept., then he was out the next year. I bet he left cuz no one listened to him or actually watched tape. It’s probably like RAS this and Nicole likes this one and let’s pick the hurt guy and prove everyone wrong! i

BREAKING: Panthers signing former 1st round pick CB
Iceup replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Farley is big (over 200lbs) and long (6’2 or 6’3) and fast low 4.3s. I even saw a 4.2 something somewhere but i’m not sure if that was an official time. He was very raw coming out of VT and got hurt and stayed hurt more or less and never really was able to get his foot in the door at Tenn. If he stays healthy and develops on the PS without getting plucked we may have something there next year. But he won’t rush the passer or help us in the second level this year. -
i’m not sure he is great…Last year we struggled in a lot of areas even though we had a good ranking overall. We still seem to suck in those same areas. I’m not sure how much of that is personnel but tackling and stopping the run are pretty fundamental. I hope we figure it out cuz our offense can actually do their part to win games it seems.

Well….TBH tho, JT does know a thing or two about chunking INTs.

Mingo had a couple of really good blocks on Sunday, but it would be nice if he could get open more. i think our options are limited- Didn’t we only keep 5 wideouts on the roster?

Best and worst PFF grades from Panthers' Week 3 win
Iceup replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Chubba has gotten better because he has put in work. As a rookie in Rhule and Brady’s system he was a mess, but His hands, Blocking, vision are all greatly improved. I really think if Brooks can contribute and be half as good as people say later in the year we will have a really good 1,2 Punch!
