The list is bad, but someone can always get cut before FA. They should be one or two other options by TC next year…they might not be any better but you never know.

We had the #1 pick and made the wrong choice. We traded the cow for the 🫘 , but unlike Jack from the tale, our little bean has no magic. A lot of folks had BY has their #1 including at least half of the Huddle. You don’t need #1 overall to get your guy- Mahomes wasn’t #1, neither was Jackson or Hurts. We just need to hit on our #1 and #2 and then put a scheme together that works and talent around them. Our Coaches and FO has to do a better job whether we have the first overall or not.

yeah…At some point even if he wanted BY and made call- I don’t think he’d be overly loyal to something losing this bad… unless losing helps him get something else he wants in some way. BY has a shelf life- I’m just not sure what it is… Yogurt or Canned corn?

I get it. It seems like a waste already and if we aren’t going to win but a few games why bother- take the L’s and give the team more options for success in the future… I understand your reasoning, but I guess I’m too old and stubborn (limited view)to buy giving up and laying down today to maybe get ahead tomorrow. I’ll watch every game if we are trying to win — but i can’t do that if we aren’t. Keep Pounding I Guess

Bench Bryce. I don’t hate the kid. it’s not all him but he can’t give us the best chance to win. Our OL is not playing bad- not great either. We need Bryce to hold a clip board and try to learn how to QB from a pocket. get the kid some platform cleats or something and put in Dalton and let him at least threaten the defense to see what we have. If the goal of the team is to win- then they should put out the players who give us the best chance to do so. If the goal of the team isn’t to win.. then WTF is the point. Come Tuesday Dalton should be taking First Team Reps. If you want add your viewpoint or thoughts or just vent please do. Keep Pounding! (but pound to win)

if the new offensive scheme with new interior OL and new receivers still has our offense at the bottom of the league looking just like late last year, then what’s the problem…what hasn’t changed..?!?

Ism was doing the majority with Blackshear missing some time. He and David Moore got most of the looks in Preseason, especially at PR….Blackshear has mostly handled KR, unless I’m mistaken.

No ISM for punt returns. I’m assuming Blackshear is handling all the return duties or maybe David Moore on punts?

This hopefully is the truth, cuz nothing else makes any sense- Sanders, Brooks, Chubba, and Blackshear are locked in - there’s no space. I hoped Johnson might stick at least to the practice squad because he’s a bigger downhill back.

The Problem Im having is Canales and Morgan keep talking about competition at every spot and making the roster better- if these games do not matter then why not bring the in other options that are potentially better to challenge others like they keep talking about.,,unless they see Plummer as that…?!

I really thought they’d play the starters some. I guess the question is how valuable are a couple of series against the Jets backups versus the potential for injuries. It’s benefit-risk-analysis I guess. It’s one of those things where the coaches can’t win unless the starters go out and look great and stay healthy. Even then folks would point out it was against backups so… I guess they felt like the scrimmage and regular practices are all they need to evaluate the 1s.

A QB whisperer—- I heard something about one of those somewhere…? Maybe someone who could take a similar sized and tooled veteran…say Gino Smith…And help him grow into a decent starter…..

I could see Hill moving outside has part of rotation with Jamison, Bootle or Jackson. Nick Scot might slide in to cover the nickel or the Smith-Wade kid if he’s done enough to gain the coaches trust. I bet we see a lot of him in these preseason games.

There are several long in the tooth corners sitting at home besides Gilly- including P. Peterson and X. Howard. Adoree Jackson and JC Jackson are vets sitting on their couch somewhere too. Not any obvious connections for any of those guys to EJ or Canales. I’d be surprised if we didn’t roll with what we have until someone hits waivers or is cut.

This guy is a safety who has started a few games for the packers over the last couple of seasons- he is coming off an injury. He plays safety , so I’m a little surprised cuz that might be the only place I feel like we are pretty strong. He’s probably faster than any of the other guys we have on the back end- and has experience on ST. He will add some competition to our best room probably and might push Nick Scott and Alex Cook. We’ll see….

X- Woods is low key, probably the best player on the team besides D-Brown. J. Horn could take a step and be considered elite and make a name for himself if he can stay on the field. The offense, eh…

You have to think they’d sign several to upgrade the bottom of the roster- heck a few might even start and play a large portion of meaningful snaps. Hopefully we upgrade the C position, Edge, maybe even a true NT.

For example: surprise cuts- Tommy Tremble or Ian Thomas because of Matthews good play and The addition of JT Sanders surprise make- Clayton Isbell , I mean maybe to play special teams while Franklin is healing.

Teams must have their rosters cut to 53 by August 27th. They can keep 90 right up until the deadline. What surprises might we find in that 53. Any surprise cuts? Will any unheralded, little talked about players make the cut? You’ve seen Joe Person’s recent projection and others. What surprises have the analysts missed. I’d love to hear your thoughts and reasoning behind any surprises. Fire Away!
