  1. I have a report he was too soft and not competitive enough to run or throw against the other guys in the class while he ballooned up with water weight to pretend he weighs 200 pounds. I have a report that says he was injured during the season and missed time.
  2. Wasn’t he just hurt enough that he couldn’t do drills or throw at the combine?
  3. I did. Sorry it’s not the reply you’re looking for.
  4. I’m tired but did I read that correctly? Young being compared to this classes Jordan? Young is not Michael Jordan. Young is not going to become the NFL QB that kids for the next 15 years consider the GOAT and try to chase after his numbers and championships. Young didn’t even make the College Football Playoffs this past season. Jordan put fear in opponents eyes. Young fears stepping on a scale.
  5. I actually read the entire thread and then decided it was worth no more than the comment I replied with.
  6. Yeah it’s weird seeing folks in the comments here bash Tepper in this thread when it’s very clear Ron Rivera had no idea how to explain the state of the team or his vision of the team. If I took over a company and my “leaders” couldn’t explain what state we are in and what the vision is, and how we can get there, they will be gone.
  7. He wasn’t exactly a world beater at helping them find QB talent lol
  8. But this isn’t a normal first overall because they are getting drafted by a team that won 7 games without an NFL QB last year. It’s a solid situation to be drafted in and they aren’t being asked to carry the team like a normal first overall pick. Home run incoming.
  9. I don’t get this. They are football players so they are always looking for a chip on your shoulder. However, he’s correct. The Panthers had him on the roster and locked up for a few more years. It came down to what do they want? A first and second rounder or do they want DJ Moore? They went with keeping the draft picks over keeping DJ. He didn’t badmouth the team or say anything awful on his way out the door. If the Panthers wanted DJ they simply didn’t have to do anything with him. He was already ours.
  10. The question becomes why wouldn’t he have had his weight get up to 210 at Alamaba when they have world class facilities? My concern for him is he’s too small for the NFL and that’s not about height. It’s about his weight. He’s not a big dude. The fact he played at like 180 in college, put on water weight for the combine and would run no drills, then wouldn’t reweigh at his pro day concerns me that he knows 204 isn’t his normal playing weight. Getting blindsided as you “extend the play” and run around is going to kill his lifespan in the NFL.
  11. What was the context? Right on first QB off the board? Right about the Panthers? Right about the top pick?
  12. Torrence is a stud, too. Best player on our team last year. Followed Billy to Florida. At Louisiana he didn’t allow a sack his whole career.
  13. What’s interesting is this is the first mock I’ve seen to at didn’t have him as a first rounder
  14. https://reddit.com/r/NFL_Draft/comments/12bhwy3/todd_mcshay_mock_40/
  15. Levis goes to the Buccaneers. Hooker I’ll have to look up again. Give me a second. edit: Hooker to the Vikings
  16. Stroud, Young, Richardson go 1-2-3 and Levis goes to 14 overall. Hooker makes it in the first round, too. https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2023/insider/story/_/id/36047541/2023-nfl-mock-draft-todd-mcshay-predictions-rounds-1-2-including-63-pick-projections-five-quarterback-landing-spots-two-trades Round 2 we get O’Cyrus Torrence edit: Reddit put a thread together so you can see who landed where on the two round mock without the reasons why: https://reddit.com/r/NFL_Draft/comments/12bhwy3/todd_mcshay_mock_40/
  17. “I do have a feeling that a quarterback from Alabama that we have tested every year since he was in 10th grade may end up sharing his results publicly because he actually owns those results and the NFL does not,” Ally said. Dudes been practice testing for years
  18. We didn’t have wild roster changes from season to season yet our record would fluctuate as if it did. Rivera coached a team to a magical 15-1 record one year and the year before and the year after it were duds. A good coach would have broken the no back to back winning seasons curse we have been under with prime Cam and prime Luke on the same team.
  19. I just checked out the highlights on the SquaredCircle subreddit and it seemed like a good show. No poor calls. Cody better go over tonight.
  20. Rhule is even worse. But Rivera was bad. He’s a good guy. And he chose to follow up his run in Carolina by going to Washington? Poor decision maker, too.
