  1. So if it was 1.8 after Atlanta and now it’s at 2.6 after the Atlanta plus Saints game this would mean he got significantly more time to throw than 2.6 seconds against the Saints.
  2. I just ran the same report above using the link OP used and it says Bryce had 2.6 seconds. Right near the top of the NFL.
  3. Bryce has 2.6 seconds of pocket time and the NFL leader is Justin Fields at 2.8 seconds. Doesn’t seem that significant of a gap. @TheCasillas I used the same site linked in the OP on Reddit. Average time the QB had in the pocket between the snap and throwing the ball or pressure collapses the pocket, in seconds
  4. Yet he put up crazy numbers anyway. So I guess he’s being Uber accurate and throwing folks open who aren’t.
  5. CJ Stroud doesn’t get a lot of guys open and when he does he doesn’t accurately throw it to them according to this chart?
  6. But he don’t be completing anything downfield
  7. Bryce Young during this Saints game had a play where he lined up behind the guard instead of the center and Miles Sanders had to push him over to redirect him. But sure, he’s clicking on all cylinders.
  8. Yeah man. The lowest rated starting QB via PFF, the same site used in this thread in the OP, definitely is killing it right now.
  9. Not with their play calling. Any team that runs a screen out of the same formation three plays in a row while down and under 2 minutes to go isn’t a place a QB is going to thrive.
  10. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8joE7LY/ where is his head at?
  11. Olave is the better receiver so they should have been on him. And DJax was our lowest graded secondary player. I didn’t think any of them played horribly in the game.
  12. I’m told nobody is open so there’s no downfield targets for him to play aggressive with.
  13. CJ allowed like 50 yards of offense when he was targeted. Like four catches. You’d think if he were that bad this game they would have just kept going after him. The guards on the right who got the low scores allowed 3 combined pressures all game. From the article itself. Sometimes PFF is weird.
  14. This was their pitch - you get the field general that Bryce Young is and you don’t need top receivers because he’s going to distribute the ball so well to the open man we never have to pay top dollar to WRs. We heard in camp he changes arm angles well and he throws the receivers open when they are covered. That’s just not been the case in live games.
  15. Bryce is supposed to be the type of QB who throws people open. That’s what they said about him in camp I believe.
  16. As you said, the games are recorded. Pull up the all 22 when it’s available and show me nobody open every play.
  17. There’s no top end athlete in this class like Richardson and I think if any of the 24 rookies played as well as Stroud through two weeks the team who gets him would be static. That being said, Caleb Williams looks like a Patrick Mahomes in college. Mobile enough to make plays and extend plays and has arm power and accuracy. But if we don’t play Bryce we probably start a vet QB who gets us enough wins to not get a top pick once again. The only thing that stings though is we could potentially trade away Caleb Williams plus DJ Moore for Bryce.
  18. Tua has some of the best weapons and line in football. Jalen Hurts has some of the best weapons and line in football. Mac Jones doesn’t and he looks meh. Maybe Bama QBs need specific athletes around them to succeed.
  19. Fields is struggling to read the field and make throws but is completing more passes than Bryce for more yards and he only had one designed run last week. At least he has the major threat of his legs. He just has silly things like his OC calling the same play three times in a row to end the game this week. Only one designed run which resulted in a TD. Bryce will get better. It’s just two games. I’m not super worried about him. But nobody should be pretending he’s displaying any elite qualities right now. He’s the lowest rated starting QB passer in the NFL and he’s got no real excuse to be under Richardson at the moment.
  20. Let’s not do silly insults like “watch other football games”. I’d be willing to bet most folks who post here watch multiple games. There’s been places to go with the ball. You can’t just tell everyone who disagrees with you that they need to watch more football or watch more games. There are folks open enough and the trigger isn’t being pulled.
  21. WRs have been NFL open. He just doesn’t seem confident in making NFL throws in tight windows yet.
  22. Bryce was supposed to be a super computer with elite touch. That’s what he was advertised as. He hasn’t been that. Richardson has looked like he is more confident in both his reads and throws. You can’t even compare Stroud to Young, that’s how night and day the two have looked. It’s difficult to make excuses and see the positive when other rookies who had more questions already seem to be providing more answers. And his only question was supposed to be around size. Y’all killed me during draft season when I said he looked like he had a bottom half of the NFL arm and I think it’s hard for anyone to say otherwise there now that we have seen it in real games. And that’s a concern. Because when your arm is weaker you need to be more precise with your throws and it’s just not been there. I don’t think we should compare Young to a Hall of Fame QB.
