I believe the statement is an exaggeration.

I saw him make throws against man coverage while down 31-10. They were not in prevent the whole half.

Appreciate you sharing this. They look pretty banged up early this season so hopefully it helps us.

I was never a big believer that Mingo was a great pick where he was picked. He never had an elite season in college playing for the coach that’s a terrific offensive mind.

What workload is on them is irrelevant when the games go live on Sunday. Stroud and Richardson look more pro ready than Bryce. If they suit up and play they need to perform and the other two rookies are outperforming Bryce. Bryce is 12th in total pass attempts but he’s 28th in completion percentage and 31st in yards and dead last in average with 4.2. He’s only ahead of Zach Wilson is quarterback rating. You can point to things CJ is doing great. You can point to things that Richardson is doing great. If Bryce is failing because he’s being asked to somehow do more than maybe he’s not ready for the workload. I don’t believe this is too big for him. I think he’s just played poorly for two weeks and the things he was advertised as hasn’t shown up yet outside of if a guy is wide open he can accurately get them the ball. But we were pitched that he can throw people open. Now folks are grumbling saying Theilen and Hurst and Sanders aren’t good enough to get open enough for Bryce to make plays.

Even when the game has been closer, Stroud has looked better than Bryce. Richardson has looked better than Bryce as well.

We heard a lot of things during camp about Bryce being mobile, throwing off platform, using multiple arm angles and throwing guys open when they are covered. That hasn’t been the case to start the season. I am not an expert, but I’m of the belief that maybe he is being over coached at the moment and given too much to think about instead of letting him play more freely.

Doesn’t change the fact he looks significantly further along than Bryce right now.

I mean I haven’t brought up once Bryce’s strip sack he just had either. I can forgive strip sacks.

And Bryce gets worse as the game goes on. We have a better running back, better TE, similar receivers and we have a significantly healthier offensive line… CJ hasn’t looked BAD in any period of football. He’s not hurt his team.

Who did the Saints have in week 1? Tannehill? And the Falcons gave up 3 touchdown passes this week to Jordan Love. The other opponent for both of them is…. Us.. so some of their stats may be a bit inflated because of how bad we performed. Atlanta gave up the 8th most passing yards per game last year.

I just want somebody to explain to me why Bryce is struggling so much where CJ Stroud is doing great? CJ has a second year running back, his entire offensive line is hurt, a defensive minded head coach, the run game is averaging 2.5 yards a carry, his top 3 receivers are a third year player who got 400 yards last year, 67 year old Robert Woods who got 500 yards last year, and a 165 pound rookie named Tank Dell drafted in the third round. All three are over 100 yards now. 12 different players have caught a pass in two games and 7 of them are averaging 10+ yards a catch. We have two guys with 9+ yards per catch, we have a second round rookie wr who is physically more imposing than Dell, we have our own old guy in Adam T and we average 5.0 yards per carry… Nobody was supposed to be more pro ready than Bryce.

They also downplayed Howell too and he’s been better than his draft slot for sure.

We are better for it.

Can you update the OP or make a new thread? The link that goes to Reddit, links you to pro football reference and the site shows Bryce at 2.6 seconds of pocket time, not 1.8. He’s basically at the top of the NFL in pocket time now. 2.6 and Fields is at 2.8. Folks are going to come in here, not click the links and just assume the data is correct.
