If we trade down and Fields is still there and we still pass on him I’d be very confused about the franchise. There’s no way he drops to 32. This guy, genuinely dislikes Justin Fields for some reason. Maybe he never returned his calls or something.

He scapegoated last year though or the year before. When he got picks wrong instead of just owning it he claims he let outside interference influence the choices he made. When he’s wrong again will he use that again or own his decisions?

Yeah his content is outstanding. As he said in the video he only watches 4-5 games of film on any given prospect and he shares that footage with YouTube. I would consider his rankings more definitive if he reviewed all their tape but that’s not the goal of his channel.

He’s played in 30 career games in college and this game you saw was the only game is his college career where he got an interception.

His rankings are strictly off of film. Nothing else. He doesn’t talk to scouts or the kids to get a feel for how successful he thinks they will be in the pros. He’s ranking them on the bits of film he watches which is typically not every game each year. There is no go-to guy for ranking how prospects will turn out in the pros.

It’s always 50%. It either happens, or it doesn’t .

To me if you are taking a corner in round 1 they need to be a ballhawk and Surtain and Horn are not that. If Farley falls to round 2 it’s outstanding value for potential.

Look at Watson even before the scandal. He wanted out of Houston no matter what and told them he’d never play another game for them and he had just signed a massive contract the season prior. Look at Antonio Brown just about everywhere he had been. Everyone knows the NFL is a business but lots of times it still leads to a toxic relationship between the two parties anyway.

Cam got hurt and plenty dinged up even before he went vegan. He just played through most of his stuff like when he crashed his truck because he’s a tough dude. Eating meat isn’t going to help your shoulder feel better when TJ Watt bulldozes into your shoulder as you’re throwing a football. Fields got tackled weird and hurt his knee the previous year when he wasn’t vegan. He then came back to the field, scrambled with a brace on, rolled left and threw a dagger to the end zone to put a fork in Michigan. Fields gets his ribs jacked this year as a vegan and then goes back into the game and puts the best game of any QB this year in college together. I wouldn’t read too much into this.

Nobody is thinking Darnold is going to be a realistic quick turn around to the point he’s a pro bowler or anything this year. People just want Teddy gone because he sucks the joy out of watching the Panthers play because we know how the second half is going to go. Who is fascinated with Darnold? Tag them and @ them. It’s not me. I think with Teddy we were relegating ourselves to the most boring QB in all of football and we would be repeating last year. Teddy at this point in his career has shown everyone who he is. As far as the Jets go their talent level was lower than ours at the skill positions. DJ Moore is better than Robbie and Robbie was their best WR. Samuel is better than their 3. It’s not even close that our three top pass catchers were better than the Jets 3. If you believe the Jets had better weapons than us I’d seriously question your football thinking. Sam Darnold vs the AFC East: 9 TDs and 21 INTs. The Dolphins and the Patriots have him at like 6 TDs and 16 INTs. Sam Darnold vs everyone else: 36 TDs and 18 INTs. Sam Darnold vs the NFC: 16 TDs and 6 INTs. The above are reasons I could talk myself into watching him try and play QB for this team next year. Teddy is 5 years older and been on better teams the the most touchdowns he’s thrown in any single season is 15. Darnold has already passed that mark twice out of his three years. I don’t need a guy only making it to 15 touchdown passes mentoring any rookie we have coming in. If he was a better mentor in NY then shouldn’t Darnold have looked better? If he was a better mentor in NO shouldn’t Taysom Hill look better? For Teddy it just got a point where it’s anything is better than watching year 2 of Teddy B play QB for the Panthers. Id draft Lawrence, Fields, Wilson, Lance and even Jones over having Teddy on the roster. I’d take Lawrence, Fields or Wilson over Darnold right now. I’d take Rattler and Howell over Darnold as well. Plus, who knows who will be a free agent next year or the year after?

If Teddy were actually good we wouldn’t even be in this position to want to make a move for a Darnold or possibly draft a Fields or Lance. I didn’t hate Teddy because he wasn’t Cam. I just never thought he was going to be the guy to drive us down the field and win games. And then he proved that week after week. Darnold absolutely has been on teams that don’t have the talent around him that Teddy just did and Darnold has two seasons, out of three, where he threw for more touchdowns that Teddys single season high. The idea is that we will likely score more passing touchdowns by replacing Teddy and then score even more by having CMC back. You might get get the Darnold love but did you love the Teddy signing?

1) I’m not thrilled about Darnold. He’s just better than Teddy. Teddy just got a career high in touchdown passes of like 15 or 16. Darnold threw more than that with less talent in New York twice. It’s not going to be worse than Teddy. I don’t necessarily think this means playoffs. You just don’t want to see Teddy for how he performed because he went to a college you liked. 2) I asked who you thought was outright better from this next class after this years class? Going to have to be top 3 to get Howell or Rattler as of right now. We aren’t going to be bad enough for that. 3) Wilson is no more of a lock than Fields or Lance or Jones. I get the Lawrence love. 3) It’s weird to compare Fields to Little. Why not compare Fields to Watson when his stock was falling? Why not to ARodgers when his stock fell going into the draft and people passed on him? You wrote a bunch of words to completely duck the only question I asked.

Who in the next class is that superior to Fields and Darnold? I won’t ask about Teddy because it’s going to be a long list.

He’s going to be just fine. Never missed a game in college and the only games in high school he missed was from a broken finger. This is a non issue.

I remember we made a bet but I don’t remember the specifics. But yeah, our bet was about adding/changing our signature to what the other person says for a season so long as it’s not vulgar or bannable? I’m always down for actual friendly wagers.
