I love PFF. I think its an awesome site, overall. I never really thought about if its zone then it doesn't count as them being targeted. Which does make sense. I will have to look into it.
-
And he did that while also missing time lol
-
Yes he did but for some reason PFF left the TD part out. Noticed the same thing.

Coaching made this game Closer then it should have been..

Our offense and defense definitely took their foot off the gas at the start of the second half. -
Was he not the guy who gave up the second touchdown?

My hot take is that Horn got beat for a TD he should not have. And I feel like if we played him more in the preseason it wouldn't have happened.

Agreed, I wanted to put them away at the start of the second half.
-
I hear you. You wrote that he didn't call plays. I was just pointing out he absolutely did. Somebody pie'd your comment and might think he actually didn't call any plays. I just want people to have accurate information when they are bashing our players/coaches/staff/ownership.

While I don't disagree I just wanted to clear up some misinformation in the thread.

https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/scott-fowler/article239208318.html "And remember, Brady didn’t even call most of LSU’s plays this year. He called a lot of the red-zone plays, and he called some from the “empty” backfield sets and “compact” (bunched) formations that LSU ran (which meant he called several of the TD plays Monday)."

I watched the entire game. I only said he was off the hook for the fumble. That wasn't his fault.
-
Its week 1. I don't think we showed everything. We played a very conservative game today. I think we open things up next week against a divisional foe.
-
Not his fault we fumbled in the red zone on one of those drives. At LSU he only called red zone plays from what I remember.
-
Not concerned. It looked like we decided to coast in the second half until things got tight again.
-
The interception was 100% on him and he threw another one that Shaq dropped that was 100% a bad read and a bad throw. But “he’s a player”.
-
It looks like he has a strong arm?

Official New York Jets at Carolina Panthers Gameday Thread!
Varking replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
What a first half of the first game of the season against the team that had the #2 pick in the draft this year! I’d like to see us out our foot on their throats in the second half before I over react. -
Official New York Jets at Carolina Panthers Gameday Thread!

It’s good to see everyone chiming in today. Nothing like opening week! -
Honestly, most of their takes are semi reasonable. They believe they will win but I haven’t seen anyone predict a blowout or anything.

A little more insight on the almost Matt Stafford trade.
Varking replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s their version of Cam Newton. He had just 4 winning seasons in 12 years. His talent was wasted. The team around him was never all that great. -
Rattler's first name is Spencer. Just an FYI and he is coming out this year. He and Howell are viewed as the two top QBs in the class so he isn't going to pass that up. Today he had a nice rebound game: 20/26 for 243 yards and 5 passing touchdowns. He also added 4 carries for 29 yards on the ground.

Best mobile app/s for Canes and Panthers news?
Varking replied to KillerKat's topic in Huddle Lounge
Honestly? Reddit. You don't need to comment on anything but most news is shared to reddit when it comes to the Panthers. Not sure about the Canes but I would bet its similar. -
He moved a thread. He didn't lock it or remove it. He didn't remove any comments or ban/suspend anyone. Moving a thread to another section hardly seems like an abuse of power.
