  1. I agree. I don’t think who we were ten years ago is who we are now.
  2. He said he doesn’t remember it but he’s never had a racist bone in his body.
  3. He claims he refers to liars as people with "rubber lips" and is using that as his explanation for this.
  4. He’s got traded because Chicago needs a returner with DG out at RB. They’ve been using rookie Herbert but he’ll have a bigger role in the offense as the #2 RB now. Nobody is going to use this kid at WR because he has bricks for hands.
  5. He should see about 50% of the snaps this week and then be ready to go after that.
  6. Why would anyone not be happy with the direction of the team?
  7. Most teams have problems. Most teams aren't 3-1. We are fine.
  8. Sam threw for 300 yards today, scored 4 touchdown and had two turnovers. This was not the game to think PJ Walker would have been better lol. Sam had more TDs today than PJ has had his whole career.
  9. We used to divide the season into quarters with 16 games. We finished the first block 3-1. I will happily take that.
  10. Game played out expectedly. We lost but it was close. We showed we can compete with the top teams and we obviously have some areas to improve upon. The good news is Sam was able to get the ball in the end zone and we put up a ton of points without CMC. Future is bright.
  11. Can't blame Joe Brady for this one. He has been gold in the red zone.
  12. And he even edit the post too.
  13. I’ve pointed this out in a few other threads but he just didn’t want to be in Florida around his awful “friends” and people around them trying to mooch off of him. He would have been excited to be drafted by any team outside Florida. He will do well here once he is acclimated.
  14. A kid who spent his whole life in Florida as a known introvert comes to a new city that he knows will be his new home, for better or worse, and people are ripping him for not being a better more excited interview?
  15. As somebody who played minor league baseball I can tell you there are a lot of people playing the game who love PLAYING the game but don’t care to watch it on TV. He could have meant exactly that. He didn’t watch much football growing up, he just played it.
  16. Oh I agree its more of a long term move but I believe he will be on the field sooner for us than later. He will have some growing pains as he adjusts to a new scheme and new responsibilities but he will show he can play at this level.
  17. Aikmen has always stood out to me. First 4 games he was: 37 of 85 for 44% completions 515 yards 1 TD 6 INT Only had 2 games the whole year over 60% completions. Most recently, Josh Allens first start: 6 of 15 for 40% completions, 0 TDS and 0 INTs. 74 yards passing. 6 of 20 for 30% completions, 0 TDS and 0 INTs. 68 yards passing was Justin Fields. Very similar to Allen. The difference is Allen has a far superior coach than Nagy.
  18. Florida has produced many NFL secondary players. CJ has the chance to be among the very best we have ever produced. I think most people who hear the whispers from school forums and such knew before the draft that him going to Tampa, Jacksonville or Miami would be cause for concern. I would have been happy for him to go anywhere in a trade this season outside of the state. I am ecstatic that we got him. Give him a few weeks to adjust and I think we got a steal in a trade. I hope Arnold plays well and we can continue to use Jacksonville as a trading partner going forward.
  19. Its easy for them to make assumptions off of a few highlights. They didn't watch the actual game. Matt Nagy never put Justin Fields in position to be successful in this game. I just listened to The QB School while driving and JT said the same thing. Justin Fields left 3 completions out there on the Field outside of the pass interference. If you give him three more completions it still changes nothing in the game. They basically said we aren't going to motion, we aren't going to protect the kid at QB and we are going to run a bunch of stop routes. Mobile QBs should have plays called where the WR keeps moving. They should have called designed runs. They damn sure should have had more than 5 people blocking but on 13 of his 20 pass attempts there was no blocking TE and no running back to help chip or block. They let the line get torn up and made no changes. There is 0 reason why anyone would think Jason Peters at 39 is blocking Myles G. After sack 2 he should be getting doubled. Or sack 3? Maybe 4? Dude got to 4.5 sacks without getting double teamed once. It was an embarrassment and they don't even do stuff like this with Andy Dalton. Dalton regularly gets a 6th blocker. It felt like Nagy just assumed that Fields speed was going to get him away from every defender. There are 0 QBs in the NFL right now that would have had success with the offensive gameplay and adjustments that were made yesterday. This is worse than the stuff that Gase would do. Nagy should be fired. Look at Darnold perform with decent coaches and good talent around him.
  20. Nagy should be fired if the Bears don’t have a rebound week. Also, their OC needs to call plays. Not Nagy. If he doesn’t give up playcalling immediately he needs to go.
  21. this was most of the game offensively. 5 man protection with no chipping or help from the TE or RB. Kid is getting killed in 2 seconds and no WR has won their route. Dalton back there doesn’t help. If the ball comes out any sooner no WR is ready and it likely leads to a muffed catch that turns into an INT. If you spend the whole game calling plays like this it doesn’t matter who the QB is when the line is getting abused like that.
