What’s your 2023 QB big board (including Corral)

Richardson will be back in school unless he lights it up. He’s being told by folks if he comes back for one more season and improves as a passer he’s got a chance to be THE top pick of the draft. If he doesn’t perform well he’ll still get drafted due to his athletic ability. Unless he magically becomes a stat padding passer by seasons end he’s in the running to have a team draft him in the second or third hoping they can Josh Allen him. He also just recently signed an NIL deal with Gatorade. No point doing that for like two months. He’ll be back next year. -

Nix has had the luxury of only being sacked one time in 2022 so far. I think when they played Georgia he scored 0 touchdowns but he’s looked good since then. -
Will Levis is a dude, like Richardson who will win the underwear Olympics with his cannon for an arm. However, Richardson has shown when he is on he can take over games. Levis has not done that. We don’t even play defense at Florida and he couldn’t light us up. What he’s shown in four years of college ball is he throws hard and he misses games.

We had our shot at Fields, and Jones, and PSII and Parsons and went with Horn.

Sounds like another week without Horn...

I’m hoping it’s a Fred Taylor situation. Fred got named Fragile Freddy for a bunch of missed games and then went on like an 8 year run with no injuries. to be fair, I hoped for the same thing with CMC, too. We need to get this guy out there on the field. -
I love Richardson like I loved Trask - in college. Richardson has all the intangibles. Now he needs to the stats. However, he just signed a deal with Gatorade which all but seals the deal he returns to school next year. McShay believes if he waits one year and produces even mediocre stats next year he might be the top pick, not just a top pick.

Most of these quarterbacks have started playoff games as well. The goal is to make it to the playoffs where you give yourself a chance to win a ring.

All I guarantees is that you get your guy. You aren’t relying on your guy to drop to you.

Players hoping to help Wilks win the full time job
Varking replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
That’s the problem when the head coach is defensive minded. They want the GM and the organization to build defense. And then you have Cam Newton trying to carry an offense with no offensive line and Ted Ginn and Philly Brown are his top targets. Imagine what could have been with a solid left tackle or a true #1 WR. The other problem is if the offensive coordinator is doing well he’s going to get a job elsewhere. If the coach is the offensive guru you can change out coordinators and the offense should still be similar to what it was before. -

Thought that was Jackson who got burnt?

What did CJ give up on Sunday?

For those earlier that asked about Rhule: https://reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/ycjr9i/maxfield_former_carolina_panthers_and_baylor_head/

Gonna need that audio to confirm before I overreact.

Zappe ain’t it tonight either.
-
Feels like after two splash plays the Bears figured Zappe out. Not putting Jones back in by now shows Jones has lost the confidence of his coach.
-
Horn has the CMC thing going. He’s all world when healthy but we haven’t had him on the field much. Two years and two injuries that have caused him to miss significant time. And without both of them we played our most complete game of the year.

I don’t think they are close to the same. I think Stroud is more accurate but Justin is faster, stronger and has a better arm in terms of velocity. Stroud is more polished.
-
Now would be the time to give him a drive if Bill was serious about getting him back in there.
-
I’d like Stroud as well.

A young QB showing progress vs a shutdown corner who doesn’t play. It’s still a toss up. Nobody is right, yet. But he’s shown improvement from year 1 to year 2. They just need to Josh Allen him and now go get guys to help him.
-
It’s funny because he seemed so sure of himself but all he did was show he’s talking out of his… and not actually watching the game.
