I mean I am not sold sold on him but the consensus seems to be hes the most ready right now despite size. I have been staunch in preferring Stroud over him.
-
You don’t see Young as a year one starter? His only major flaw seems to be size which isn’t going to get fixed.

First of all thanks for showing all of us you haven’t followed Florida. Sure we can reach out and touch recruits in Florida but they wind up elsewhere because this isn’t the The Golden Calf of Bristol and Chris Leak era of Florida. We are long past that. We have one five star WR on our team and he couldn’t crack the lineup at Penn State for two years so he transferred here for his final three years where he has done nothing. Unless you count setting career highs in yardage with Anthony Richardson this year. But it’s clear that Shorter got overhyped as a 5* because he played football in NJ and his size allowed him to dominate. The guy lining up in our #1 spot this year has been Arizona State transfer Ricky Pearsall who was a 3* recruit, not a top 150 WR in the class and not a top 1000 recruit in his class. Who also accomplished nothing so he left and came here. My best offensive players are a running back who transferred with Napier and an offensive lineman who transferred here with Napier. Not our “home grown” talent. If you are rarely wrong on QB prospects please give me your top five for this year and the order of what was your top five last year.

Over his last 155 throws he has had 1 interception. That would be against: LSU, Georgia, Texas A&M, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. Lots of quarterbacks miss by miles when they have “bad throws”. He also throws lots of dimes. And he is doing this with scrub talent around him.
-
If he is available later. Which for me is 5th-7th, I would probably actually love the pick. Those are the sweet spot for drafting dudes who might not be all upstairs but have crazy talent. Like a Burfict or a Hardy.

For those that don’t know I am doing a giveaway of new LOTR book covers on the subreddit for the show: Just need to leave a comment by Monday to be entered in to win.

USC picked off DTR for the third time tonight. That should be the game. 48-45.
-
You can contribute to that one. I’m watching USC v UCLA.
-
Since this is the Gameday thread for college ball: UCLA is driving, down 3 and could upset USC. 1 minute left.

Rookie Josh Allen was terrible, too. Hell, it wasn’t until year 3 in the NFL he went over 60% completions. But it’s the formula you want to follow if you are drafting a Richardson or even a Levis. Get the guy and then you MUST surround him with talent. Go after guys via trades and the draft on offense to protect him and give him targets to throw to. Don’t do what we did for Cam and draft him and then sort of kind of forget to protect him.
-
19 TDS and 10 INTs = Levis 23 TDS and 8 INTs = Richardson But if TDS with no context is what matter Bo Nix has 38 total before this game tonight.
-
Outside of tonight, which still has plenty left, Penix lowest yards total for any game this year is 298. And he has only had two games under 60% completions. He’s been very consistent.
-
Richardson only works year 1 if we run an offense similar to what the Bears have run the past five weeks. Using his legs to help the team while he develops as a passer. Otherwise, he benefits from going to a team where he can sit a year.
-
@Shockerthese are their passing numbers against the same opponents.
-
Richardson has been much more productive throwing the ball than Levis against the same opponents.

Will Levis against Vandy: 11 of 23 for 109 yards, 0 TDS and 1 INT. Levis against UGA: 20 of 36 for 201, 1 TD and 1 INT. Levis against TENN: 16 of 27 for 98 yards, 0 TDS and 3 INTs. He went 47 of 86 ( 54.65% ), 408 yards, 1 Touchdown, 5 INTs. He also added -12 yards on the ground and 0 TDS rushing. Richardson against Vandy: 25 of 42 for 400 yards, 3 TDS and 1 INT. Richardson against UGA: 18 of 37 for 271 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT. Richardson against TENN: 24 of 44 for 453 yards, 2 TDS and 1 INT. He went 67 of 123 ( 54.47% ) for 1124 yards, 6 TDS and 2 INTs. He also added 106 yards on the ground and 2 TDS rushing.

I have the same first two as you.
-
All I said was he wasn’t Cam. And he isn’t. And to that you replied for me to not make stuff up.
-
He knows. He’s experimenting with some new liquor or something and just saying the oddest things.
-
You said you done. Clearly you aren’t. You walked back your words like 45 seconds after posting them.
-
Absolutely not.
-
“I am leaving” … immediately runs back to quote my post and then say something weird.
-
What did I make up?
-
I mean, I am more than fine with that lmao. I am not clamoring to draft him. If we do I won’t be upset at all but for where we are picking he isn’t who I would want. But I do hope you actually take a break. Much needed.
-
He absolutely should not be a second round pick and he is nothing like Cam. He is 6’1 205.
