Toughness and leadership to go along with that arm
-
You have to remember he’s looking for any and every reason to tear Richardson down. If that was Penix he’d say it was a great throw and a great read finding the open man.

Maye , rightfully, looks young. Weight room will do him well. Also seems like two wrong routes have been run already.

Ellis Williams. Char observer on top 4 QBs Note, This is not in depth

If the team had a QB these threads wouldn’t need to be made. -
I am pretty realistic so most of the other results we have had this year outside of the Utah game haven’t been a surprise for me.

And I do believe we are witnessing Wilson becoming a bust before our eyes. If he doesn’t get better after this benching that is where he is headed. He has regressed in year 2 while it seems like the entire rest of the team has gotten better. -

Josh Allen became what he is because they surrounded him with talent to help his development. He was still trash his rookie year but they had a great defense. Then they put the line together and went out and got him real weapons at WR. He wouldn’t have turned into that here in Carolina. -
Who should we be looking at outside the "top 4" QB candidates?

He has made a bunch of bad decisions this year. And I think if folks didn’t have Levis in that top 3 going into this season, and they just took this season for what it is, he would be rapidly falling. Teams are going to have to love the arm and hope they can fix the mental side for him. -
This is going to be an ugly week for the Gators.

Richardson is a great kid and a good leader. It’s why his teammates have been actively campaigning for him to come back next year. -

Maybe early on he was in his own head but again… last 5 games is 13 touchdowns for Richardson to just 1 INT. And he is playing regularly without his top 3, and now the past two weeks and this one, his top 5 WRs. He settled in and he’s not turning the ball over. That is active progress you are looking to see. Not regression. He’s made adjustments. -

So don’t go with Levis if you think he’s going to get dinged up behind your offensive line because that is going to make him worse than a first year starting Richardson? And he is two years older than Richardson. Personally, Levis has shown me Josh Love levels of performance drop from year 3 to year 4 that he is very concerning. I will go with the guy who seems to be growing vs declining. -

Wait… do you evaluate QBs based on their “head to head” where they don’t play against the same defenses? They have four common opponents. Georgia, Vanderbilt, Miz and Tennessee. 1190 yards passing, 9 touchdowns total, 6 passing, 3 Interceptions. vs 583 yards passing, 4 touchdown totals 4 passing, 5 interceptions. And 3 of Levis total touchdowns came against MIZ. Richardson killed Levis in this comparison against common opponents. -

I totally get him being a gamble but how can you say clearly the worst when he’s outperformed Levis against every single common opponent they have had this year? -

If we lose to the Broncos it’s going to be one of the few losses this year I’m truly baffled by. -
I wouldn’t mind spending the 2nd round pick on this..

This is just a product of how Georgia uses their Tight Ends. Bowers and Washington would be putting up monster stats on other teams. Heck, they have Gilbert who is so talented they thought about putting him out wide at WR because he’s getting no playtime. -

It’s fun to speculate early but when it’s so early in the season there is plenty of time for things to change. -
I can’t tell if this is joking or not when talking about him running a 6 second 40

If your first read is open though that’s where you are supposed to go. I remember when folks punished Justin Herbert for this a few years ago but that’s the offense he played in. The one-read college assessment doesn’t worry me much. Arm strength, mechanics, touch and leadership matter more to me than the offense somebody is in.
