  1. He won plenty of games passing the ball. Stop making stuff up.
  2. You mean you forget like 3 games before the injury he lead us to 21 points in the fourth quarter in a wild comeback against the Eagles? And how he was competing like almost 70% of his passes that year? Scoring wise we were one of the top offenses in football up until that injury and folks and analysts were talking about Cam being an MVP again.
  3. Justin Fields just threw the ball 25 times this past week, completed 20 of them for like 250 yards. He ran the ball 6 times. He was super effective. And yeah, one of those runs still went for a 50 yard touchdown run. And he had two completions over 40 yards throwing to guys like Pettis and St Brown. Fields is looking like the answer in Chicago. The only knock on him now is he isn’t finishing games. But look at the talent on that team.
  4. That’s why you don’t just look at stats when evaluating folks.
  5. Then you’ve missed all the weekly conversation about him in every college thread or qb thread as he’s been a big part of all those.
  6. Well that’s the issue. You are absolutely going to have to give up your first and second this season plus a first next year to move from like 10 to 2. And maybe even more. That’s a lot. However, if we could go back and give up Derick Brown and Jaycee Horn but you’d have Justin Herbert, would you do it? I would in a heartbeat. Not that Stroud is Herbert or anything but the price of a young franchise QB is worth paying whatever it costs.
  7. Stroud has always been my guy in this class. I made the first Suck for Stroud post kind of as a joke but kind of not. The problem is you’re going to have to move to 2 to get him and there will be other teams trying as well. It’s hard to make that move because you cant miss when your trade away future firsts.
  8. Just post the clip of him missing an easy, wide open throw by ten yards and the conversation ends there.
  9. Richardson had a better season, brother. Levis threw more interceptions. Richardson scored more touchdowns. Richardson accounted for more yards. Again, Richardson accounted for more scoring plays and more yards. For the record, Richardson played hurt as well.
  10. Who played better against the same four opponents? Their only times they played against the same defenses. Who do you think played better? And if you don’t want garbage, and you consider Richardson garbage, then you shouldn’t want Levis either.
  11. I harped on how they played against common opponents. A conversation Levis lovers should want to duck and run from. Without box scores, who played better against the same four opponents?
  12. That’s how I know you don’t watch ball. You watch box scores. You said he’s terrible. So he won’t get drafted? Or do NFL scouts know something you don’t?
  13. I think teams definitely look at how guys faired agianst top 25 teams like Georgia and Tennessee. It’s weird to read you trying to talk about what NFL scouts are looking for lmao
  14. It’s weird for you to do this “they think” when it’s completely inaccurate.
  15. Inaccurate. Kentucky was a 10 win team the year before. Florida was 6.
  16. I “cling” to those four games because it’s the only time those two players played against the same defenses. You know, comparing where it makes sense? If you think my receivers were good then you definitely did not watch Florida games.
  17. They have four common opponents and Richardson outplayed Levis against every one of them. That’s why you want to avoid the conversation. If you want to know why he’s completing half his passes just go watch my team try and catch passes. Nobody took more of a step backwards from last year to now than Levis and you’re upset lol.
  18. I’m on a million gator sites and circles for like 13 years now and the consensus almost everywhere behind the scenes was he was gone.
  19. Now do Levis stats against the four common opponents he has with Richardson and compare the two. Explain why when facing the same teams Richardson blew away Levis? If touchdowns matter then don’t forget the 2 Levis had on the ground and the 9 Richardson did. Less picks, more total touchdowns, more yards.
  20. Bad Randy Johnson turned into good Randy Johnson. Darnold has never been good.
  21. They all have major bust potential. Including Stroud and Young. I don’t know why folks are putting them on a pedestal and Stroud is the guy I want.
  22. Who is a safer gamble? Your options are, based on popular draft positioning: 1. Bryce Young - Despite being the returning Heisman trophy winner and having what is considered to be the best defensive player in the country, lost more games in a single season at Bama we have seen in some time. On top of that, he is small. Like terribly small when compared to most QBs. And to think his small stature doesn’t matter as he already missed time this season with an injury from college guys. NFL tackles aren’t going to hurt the same. Big chance he can’t take consistent NFL hits and a big part of his game is scrambling around to buy time. 2. CJ Stroud - Couldn’t carry the team in the big games. Folks think hes simply a front runner who is carried by Uber elite talent like JSN and MHJ, or the year before Wilson and Olave. 3. Will Levis - Nobody individually or as a team shrunk more from one year to the next than Levis. However, he does have the size NFL teams like and hes got a rocket for an arm. Against common opponents that he shared with Richardson, 4 games, Richardson absolutely smoked him stats-wise and it’s not close. They had equal completion percentages but Richardson produced like triple the yards, more touchdowns and less turnovers. 4. Anthony Richardson - As strong of an arm as Levis, better wheels than Young, and if you ignore his supporting cast his stats don’t reflect that of a guy who took over games. Definitely outplayed Levis against the same competition but that isn’t saying much. The point being, he is a risk, sure. But he is also just as much of a risk as the rest of these guys. You are saying we have to, and can do better, but where is that in this draft? What is “better”? Do you want to draft a guy who might not play? A front runner? A guy who got considerably worse from the previous year? A toolsy project guy who definitely played better in the second half of the season? There is no Lawrence, Luck or Manning prospect in this draft where they appear to have minimal flaws and seem like a “sure thing”. Even when Burrow came out, like Pickett, folks were screaming one year wonder. You find the guy you like after watching film and doing interviews and you roll with him and hope for the best.
  23. I mean what is the definition of success here? What is the definition of NFL caliber? The Golden Calf of Bristol beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in an NFL Playoff game. He only got to start 16 games in the NFL and he scored 29 touchdowns to 9 interceptions. He scored 3 touchdowns and threw 0 picks in the playoffs. He did this with McDaniels as his coach. Which, look at what hes done to the Raiders…He also has a winning record as a starting QB in his career. Rex Grossman started every game for a Bears team that went to the Super Bowl. And yes, that is a feat, because Chicago is where QBs don’t thrive. Jacoby Brissett has done well for himself and had a 2:1 TD to INT ratio in his one full year of starting on the Colts. Thrown for over 10k yards in his career despite mostly being a backup. Cam Newton was a Gator. And if you think he did much developing between Florida, Blynn and Auburn you are nuts. Every team had the same strategy with him. Allow him to throw when you could afford it and let him take over games with his legs if you were behind. It’s why he still had so much to work on while he was here in Carolina. But I wouldn’t say he isn’t NFL caliber. Statements like this are simply goalpost moving comments. Are you only NFL caliber if you start a full year? NFL caliber meaning you played in the NFL? NFL caliber as in played in the league for X amount of years? Are you only NFL caliber if you make All Pros, Pro Bowls or win a Super Bowl? To state this as a “fact” when it’s a judgement statement is silly. The Gators haven’t put forth a Hall of Fame passer in the NFL but there are some that have had success. However, all of that is irrelevant, honestly. They don’t run the triple option. You evaluate the player, not the school.
  24. I don’t understand dudes who constantly click threads about folks they have no interest in to tell us they have no interest in them in like 14 straight threads. We get it, Catsman69, you don’t want Richardson. Why don’t you make a thread about the QB you DO want? Or did they decide to go back to school because they weren’t a first or second round prospect?
