Its the most unforgivable thing for me that Fitterer did in trading DJ Moore away to get a Qb when thats the perfect player to help your QB develop. I wouldn't care if we were 0-17 if the offense looked better.

I love when I post something that shouldn't be remotely controversial and this is the type of reply you get back from somebody here. How can I be accused of not watching the games when I am live posting comments here during the games every single week? Why, when I am posting factual information and stats is your reply back to me littered with exaggerations?

I mean the same could be said about Ryans for Houston ... they did nothing to stop Baker most of the game. But somebody has to win and CJ was him today.

I would love to see who those top 25 teams were that he played. But when it comes to the draft it won't really matter too much. He was always going to be under a crazy microscope because he balled out for two years. But by hitching your wagon to go with Lincoln Riley you are forced to play in shootouts every single week because he simply does not give a hoot about defense. And this is probably the least talented team he has been on. Stroud couldn't beat Michigan. Manning couldn't beat Florida. Josh Allen couldn't hit a movie target in stride his whole college career. Mahomes had some 5 interception games in college. Regardless of what the final stat line reads for Williams, hes the closest thing we have to Mahomes in college but hes significantly further ahead in terms of accuracy and playmaking ability compared to Mahomes in college. So he is going to get drafted high by a team that thinks they can develop him into something similar.. I know it sounds stupid but if you are Chicago and you can pair Williams with DJ Moore and Marvin Harrison Jr, Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet that *looks* like a pretty sick offense for a rookie top end QB to jump into.

As we have seen this season so much of the NFL is just about matchups and execution. At one point the Lions could lose 7 in a row and then go off to become one of the better teams in the NFL from that point on. The Colts could have a great defensive day against us and then give up 40 next week to a sorry team. Heck, we looked great defensively against the Texans last week. And CJ Stroud just had the best rookie QB performance of all time today. It happens.

I didn't mean to make it sound like I was dogging on Dell. Their offense is much better with him and Collins both healthy. I just was trying to illustrate that the other guys on their roster weren't doing terrific on other teams and having these super games from time to time. Dell and CJ came in the league together so I can't go well last year in the NFL Dell put up blah blah blah, etc. And thats another thing... outside of also having virtually no run game this year its been backup linemen spread all across the front for CJ Stroud. And the backup line is partly to blame for the run game I would hazard to guess. But the guys everyone is now looking at like they are some "playmakers" have been dudes that have been bit players in their previous offenses for the most part.

I mean Joe Burrow recently got his brains battered as a rookie and it didn't phase him like that. I think it just became an excuse for Carr over time as to why he didn't work out but that was an expansion team with a pretty bad roster and he went to a lesser school and put up big stats. Probably didn't belong going first overall.

We just need the defense to keep it close. Second half Bryce is about to ball out.

I posted above the history of each of these players. Not one of them has ever had even a 100 yard game before this season with CJ. Both tight ends that went over 100 today had been in the NFL for five seasons before this year and neither one has ever had an individual 100 yard game. Nico Collins in two years never had a 100 yard game. These are the "playmakers". And oh yeah, Houston has no run game this season. So folks know they have to defend the pass and this is still the type of game hes capable of putting up. The 39 points CJ scored today is 14 more than anyone else has put up on the Bucs today in a game.

Tank Dell wasnt some impact WR that was drafted. He was like the 12th WR off of the board and we passed him up for Mingo. Noah Brown has been in the NFL for 6 years. Today is the first game he has ever had over 100 yards in a game. Dalton Schultz who I do like, has also been in the NFL for 6 seasons. Today is also his first ever game over 100 yards. Nico Collins is in year 3 and he had 446 yards and 1 TD, and 481 and 2 TDs in years 1 and 2. This year he already has more yards than any previous season and more TDs. Oh yeah, like the others on the list, Nico also never had a 100 yard game before this season. And they are doing this with a rookie QB in Stroud. You can call them playmakers but they really hadn't been much of one before he got drafted. Most guys wouldn't be considered some great "playmakers" if they never had a 100 yard game before.

Bryce will be fine. But that is ANOTHER performance by Stoud that no other rookie has ever done. 470 yards passing ( NFL rookie record previously held by Andrew Luck ) 5 TDs 0 INTs Lead a game winning touchdown drive with less than 50 seconds and two timeouts. Unreal.

Literally one of the worst run defending edges in the entire NFL. I love Burns. He’s one of the few autographs in recent years I went to get. But he’s not a complete player and for like two years now I thought he’d get better at setting an edge and he just hasn’t.
