  1. Fields is a stud and had no weapons. He got help this year. His numbers will trend upward.
  2. He’s an absolute stud. Best player we had a Florida this year. He was a full time starter for Billy before he was a Gator and never allowed a sack. Last year at Florida he only allowed one sack. If he was available at 39 I’d be surprised. A lot of mocks have him going in the first. Would love for him him to drop to us in the second!
  3. It’s a concern but less of a concern. He has the speed to keep NFL defenders away and the arm strength to not need to put a lot into every throw to make an accurate throw.
  4. 17 TDs and 5 INTs through the Steeler game. 75.5 rating was his worst in that 9 game stretch. 6 games rated over 100. 4 rushing TDS. 6-3 after the Steelers game. 7 TDs and 8 INTs in 5 games after. 3 out of 5 games rated worse than his worst game in the 9 game stretch above. 0 rushing TDS. 0-5 record. His stats before and after were wildly different.
  5. Both look like 50 in the air to me. Top video the WR has to slow up a small bit to wait to catch it. If it hits him in stride it’s a TD. Bottom video he underthrew it and the WR had to turn back to catch it. Also had three full seconds to throw the ball and no pressure around him at all. He has the arm to complete throws in the NFL but he’s going to have to be more pinpoint accurate than some of the others at the top of this class.
  6. Career got shortened due to injury because he also ran like a battering ram at times. Not as much as Cam but it applies.
  7. Tagging the wrong guy because I have huge concerns about how Young will hold up in the NFL.
  8. His average time to throw in college was over 3 seconds. Not happening here.
  9. Yeah people keep getting hung up on the height aspect of dudes being “smaller” where I’m more concerned about their weight for the most part. There’s plenty of light WRs because they typically get tackled by a guy weighing 200-210 and they know the hit is coming. With a QB there’s too many times a blindside hit or low hit happens.
  10. It hurts to think about but both guys would probably still be in New Orleans right now.
  11. Because Fields has silly haters who don’t like context and can’t imagine what it’s like when EQS and Byron Pringle are playing as your #1 and #2 WR and your offensive line has one NFL worthy player on it.
  12. Drew Brees didn’t have a dumbass of a coach treating his QB like a battering ram.
  13. I wouldn’t say he is a slam dunk top 5 if healthy. I’d hope he’s top 10. But it’s the “if he stays healthy” that scares me on him. We’ve simply never seen a modern day NFL QB play at 190-195 pounds before. I’m not sure about the rest of you but I don’t want those plays where he’s running around behind the line of scrimmage looking to make a play and hoping to avoid defenders because I think at the NFL level those close misses from defenders likely turn into hits in the pros. And I don’t want him taking hits. I wish he would have run some drills and stepped on the scale again at his pro day. Weighing in at 205 and then putting up respectable times would have alleviated some concerns I have. Showing up at 210-215 without a drop in athleticism would have me on the bandwagon.
  14. I’m believing it was 185. A few others have guessed 180. I believe he can comfortably play and not have any finishing returns around 195 but 195 is hella small for an NFL QB.
  15. And for the record we aren’t going to be much better this year. We have some pass catching studs coming in but most WRs don’t take off like a rocket their freshman years. The team should be better the year after that.
  16. Bryce was not the best QB in college for 2 years now. Hooker was outplaying him until injury, Caleb Williams outplayed him. And you think there aren’t risks taking a dude who had dud performances against Texas and LSU? Or that while he was out the backup QB who couldn’t even play QB scored 3 TDs? And that a Bryce lead team didn’t make the playoffs in his final year? Every QB in this class has reasons to be concerned over their performance.
  17. We all hope he’s wrong if he’s the pick but he threw at his pro day so he probably could have thrown at the combine next to the other guys. But it would have been clear his arm isn’t on the same level as the others we were looking at. We know he’s mobile but we don’t know how fast because he didn’t run the 40 or do any drills around speed. I get top prospects not wanting to get hurt when they were a can’t miss label, like Lawrence or Luck, but when you don’t compete against your class it looks sus.
  18. I do like CJ more and I’m 100% within my right to attempt to add context to his score.
  19. I’m sure you can understand that if you were practicing taking the SATs or ACTs or any random test since 9th grade… studying and then taking it every year all the way to your junior year of college you might have an advantage over those seeing it for the very first time?
  20. I’m a big Fields fan and lots of folks here hate him and he scored in the 90s on the test , too. I don’t think the test is important. But for folks boosting the test as important it should show them that Justin would be killing it if given time to actually make plays and had NFL caliber players on his offense.
  21. I’m the biggest Florida fan on here, regularly post on r/CFB and r/FloridaGators . Trask is a college QB. Richardson can be more in the pros. Trask also threw to Toney and Pitts and you saw his performance in the bowl game without them. Like 3 picks in the first quarter. Richardson is built better for the pros.
