  1. Not like CJ did this past year. And there’s plenty of footage of CJ moving around to miss tackles or extend the play but the rep here is he is a statue. It’s whatever
  2. I agree with you, actually. And the gaslighting comment about flaws wasn’t directed at you. I can show tape of Young getting run down by defensive tackles and struggling to throw over the middle with any pressure around him and there’s a group of new posters here who pretend like they have never seen the tape and that Bryce is some Andrew Luck or Trevor Lawrence “safe” level of prospect.
  3. He has major injury history, missing time left and right throughout his career. He gets hurt on regular hits. He also has never been a difference maker in any offense he has been in. He is 30 and averages 10.5 games a year, 18 catches, 240 yards, 1 touchdown a season. We had him, he was nothing. We let him go and spread his wings, he had one ok year in NE and then its been downhill since, struggling to get time in a bad Chicago offense one year, and then a WR core in Atlanta that was missing Pitts and had a rookie as their #1. His only trait is speed at 175 pounds but his speed doesn’t matter when he doesn’t run good routes and doesn’t get open. And at 175 pounds he isn’t going to shake off tacklers. The first dude getting to him is bringing him down.
  4. To be fair, for some reason, this QB debate has been very touchy here. Most times during the season there’s more to talk about and the opinions are better spread. It’s just right now, this is the only thing to talk about and there’s been a billion threads on it.
  5. I’m 100% on board that he is our guy. But I won’t gaslight myself into believing he doesn’t have these flaws.
  6. So if we prefer Stroud over Young ( 1 player ) we should stop being Panther fans? What a weird take.
  7. The best Teddy 2 Gloves ever was, was NFL average. And both Teddy and Tua spend forever hurt. That’s not good. Wentz had one elite season and then injuries seem to ruin him. Darnold was never good. Cutler was exciting but never great. If these are the comparisons, this is a bad class lol.
  8. Just because we know Young is the pick doesn’t mean we can’t voice our opinions on who we feel is better. Everyone knew the Jets were taking Wilson and if I were on their board I would still be talking about taking Fields or Jones over him.
  9. Wrong. For those who want to keep saying this, watch these two videos: Clip after clip of throwing dudes open under pressure while having to move AND throwing dimes. Throws Bryce Young has never made. And you can watch below to see where Young struggles. Both guys have their pluses and minuses but somehow Stroud has developed this weird reputation he doesn’t move around, make dudes miss, and that his guys are just wide open. This past season Alabama WRs were more wide open than OSU WRs. Stroud constantly threw the ball into tight windows. Which translates to the NFL. Young does not.
  10. Lots of smaller guys dominate college. He also went to Bama compared to Kentucky or Florida. He’s got some really bad tape over the middle and his tape shows him getting run down consistently by linebackers and defensive tackles. In the NFL that’s likely going to stand out even more.
  11. Nope. The running around to extend plays, especially when his speed won’t play up in the NFL, will likely lead to injuries.
  12. That’s fine. I’m just talking about his tape. I wasn’t commenting on his quote in that reply you are quoting. Just his tape where he doesn’t look like the type of guy scoring 98 on an S2 because his reaction times were very poor.
  13. He said something he can’t prove when it comes to Bryce.
  14. Dudes username is a bigger joke than what he told about Stroud.
  15. He’s the best QB but he’s not the best prospect. Carter is a better prospect. Robinson is a better prospect. I’d argue Anderson is a better prospect than Young.
  16. Do you think an Alabama doctor was going to say something that hurts Young?
  17. This is what folks were trying to say about the combine stuff. He wasn’t going to test anywhere near as well as the others. He is coming into the NFL and he doesn’t have a great arm, or great speed, and a lot of his creative plays in college required him to run away from guys who didn’t have NFL speed or his line was blocking for him all day. Things he won’t get here. And while he has elite PRE SNAP reads, post snap he misreads the speed of defenders and he panicked in the pocket during these games here. And while LSU and Georgia have NFL caliber players on defense I wouldn’t agree that Texas has many. And he was all over the place with his accuracy at times here. It was like watching a smaller, slower, weaker armed Anthony Richardson. I have warmed up to Bryce being our pick but folks here are attempting to sweep things like this under the rug and claim he has no issues throwing to the middle of the field and he doesn’t go through these bouts of inaccuracy but here it is on tape for folks to see. And that is ignoring the weight issue.
  18. Whats the big deal if this is a Tepper pick? And the way it’s written makes it sound like they looked at Bryce’s tape and the coaching staff wasn’t sure on him. Then they had to dive BACK into the film again and then were like “oh yeah, he should be the pick”. Almost like there was a guiding hand pushing the stuff to “check something out again to make sure you didn’t miss something”, and then they were all on the same page. Tepper makes mistakes, sure. But he also has a business track record of fixing failures pretty quickly. He picked Rhule, got burnt and then flipped that into potentially one of the best coaching staffs in the entire NFL. Most folks here want Young to be our QB. Why is it a problem if our owner agrees with that and is actively pushing for it? Maybe without him we draft Richardson or Stroud and then you folks get upset we didn’t take your guy. I don’t care who is the source for getting something right as long as we get it right.
  19. He gave one to me as well because I said he had the weakest arm of the top 4 at the combine and thats why he didn’t throw. He’s just a troll.
  20. Yeah… I agree. That is what I wrote lol
  21. Dude won an MVP throwing to guys like Ted Ginn and Philly Brown… it’s embarrassing what we did to him.
  22. 100. I tell folks that almost every time he is brought up. We are a poo organization for how we handled having talents like him and Luke on the same team, in their primes, and not having poo to show for it outside of one trip to the SB. We couldn’t get back to back winning seasons with them?! Ron was trash. He gets a pass too often because he is a nice guy. But he was a bad coach, and still is, and our GMs were let downs too. Like I said, I follow Cam on social, he is the only athletes autographed jersey I got and he is my all time favorite Panther. It’s unfortunate we kept around the staff and coaches we did. I look at Josh Allen and think Cam could have had that level of success, if not more, if put on those teams with those coaching staffs.
  23. Zero folks question Cam Newton’s work ethic, drive and passion. But that doesn’t mean Cam hated losing more than any other QB or that being those things is going to lead to more success in the NFL.
