  1. I think your list is good. And for those lowering Hardy I think you should remember he was the guy on the sidelines getting the D amped up between drives. When he got going we were special and everyone fed off of it. I wish he could have maintained that without the off the field stuff because I feel like our defense is missing that type of player on it that just has all the confidence in the world that we are taking over games, and letting our opponents know it.
  2. I don’t think we would have offered DJ Moore for the #2 pick. He’s was pushed this over the top. And at 9 the Bears might still get the best player in the draft in Carter plus loaded up on future picks.
  3. Two starters with the first two picks. But I won’t complain because all that matters to me is we pick one of the top 4 QBs at 1 and this draft is a win.
  4. As he said in this interview, once the scores came out he had a bunch of GMs call him. Every year a guy starts to slip and more often than not it turns out he shouldn’t have.
  5. He said that player was at an all star game. That wasn’t CJ. Reaching.
  6. Anyone casuals would know if getting fired? Mina Kimes?
  7. There will still be idiots here quoting “18%”, lol. This is the huddle but I applaud you attempting to provide the truth and the most recent accurate bit of information we have.
  8. It’s that time of year where teams want a player to drop to them and make up lies about said player. Folks here on the Huddle took the bait.
  9. I believe he’s going to surprise folks in the NFL.
  10. Folks need to chill with the Cam comparisons because he’s going to be used differently in the pros. He’s not going to be treated like a battering ram.
  11. Next years QB crop might be better than this years but I don’t think you’re going to be pulling more dominant defenders on the line than Carter and Anderson.
  12. His starting point on arm strength is bottom half of the NFL. If he gets dinged up throughout the season and that takes a hit…yikes
  13. I think, relative to the rest of the league at their respective times, Young was one of the more athletic QBs and had a strong arm. Compare Bryce to the rest of the league and he’s not on the more athletic side and his arm isn’t in the top half of the NFL.
  14. #1 on most big boards early had Jalen Carter or Will Anderson. Vegas themselves after the trade had Stroud as our pick for weeks. Not Mock Drafts. Vegas. Young is the top QB among most mocks and such but most folks big boards before the off field drama with Carter had him as the best player in the draft.
  15. He’s a stud and might go in the first.
  16. Because that’s not exactly true. For a bit there Stroud was the favorite to go to us at #1 in Vegas. And it was like that for weeks. Then it flipped back to Young.
  17. I’m definitely suggesting that not all of those were jailbreaks. And for sure I can think of QBs who could get away from those. Im not downplaying the kid. I have concerns about his athletic ability when it comes to the NFL that showed up on his film. It would have felt better if he didn’t duck the combine. Instead it took what I saw when I watched him play and made it feel more real.
  18. No, in those games it often showcased a lack of escapability where he got rundown by linebackers and at least one defensive tackle. He displayed a lack of being able to run away from NFL speed folks. Did you watch the video in question?
  19. Not in the slightest? That’s where his LSU , UGA and Texas tape come into play.
  20. Fields is being asked to carry an offense with trash for weapons AND he showed improvement while having his second head coach, offensive coordinator and QB coach in two years and year one being mostly wasted with how Nagy handled all this stuff. Chicago wasn’t going to draft Stroud because he’s from the same school and head coach as Fields and Fields was better. They weren’t going to draft Young because Young would have died on the field last year with the Bears offensive line “protecting” him. The new coach and GM didn’t want to invest in helping Fields until he showed he was the guy. After last season they were sold and that’s why they made the trades for Moore and Claypool.
