I pitched last week we should offer him straight up for Malik Willis. Not that TN has Levis there is no path forward for Malik.

It wasn’t just that MC2 fell off. It’s that he never was great.

He doesn’t piss me off at all. He just does nothing for me. He never dominated in college. His numbers were good-ish. But he was a lame-duck pick. He’s likely never going to get a chance to show what he can do in the pros unless whatever team he’s on has a slew of injuries. He had a fast throwing motion but it’s not like the kid ever really lit it up in college either. The year he threw 29 TDS he also threw 14 INTs. Oof. Then his senior year he only threw 20 despite throwing more passes.

Depends on what you want out of your defensive tackle. Take up space, eat blockers and make a play against the run? He’s ideal. Want him to sack the QB? You can’t ignore his lack of sacks and thus he’s almost through his rookie contract and has how many sacks in his career?

Was TMJ or Mingo a higher graded player going into the draft?

As of right now I do give more credit to Stroud.

I’d mostly agree but his game hasn’t been scrutinized yet because he’s not draft eligible. Again, my biggest knock in the kid right now is when you look at the last like 4-5 top WRs to come from OSU it feels like he gets the least separation of the bunch.

Initial grade is a C. Nailed the first pick and the rest were questionable or meh at best. But it doesn’t matter as long as Bryce pans out as a franchise QB.

Who knows if he will even be the top in class next year? So much changes every year and Harrison made spectacular catches on highlights but the truth is he’s often not gaining separation against college corners, which is why they require highlight throws and catches.

He’ll be a later round guy if he declares. I think he’ll enter the draft the year after.

Folks… that guy is already on our roster. Laviska Shenault 6’1 and 227 pounds and has experience running the rock.

I would have preferred Ojulari there across from Burns getting after the QB. Our Oline depth isn’t good and getting Torrence would have been good as well. I want my 2nd round picks to be starters and Mingo isn’t going to be a starter on this team barring injury at the moment. Drafting Brian Branch would have allowed Chin to stay closer to the line of scrimmage or linebacker area and get him away from playing deep where he isn’t terrific. And everyone has their preference but Mingo is in the same tier of guys that were picked well after him like Rice, Hyatt and Tillman.

How do you know even they don’t think it’s a reach? They absolutely could but felt they had to make the move and picks they did.

Hope it pans out nicely but I think Mingo is going to be lost in the shuffle this year and round 2 was a bit high to take him for the type of production hes put out. Unless the coaches just play favorites because they drafted him. Chark and Theilen are still the #1 and #2 after this draft so everyone else is fighting for WR3 and WR4 snaps. Laviska should probably be the #3 with TMJ at the 4 right now. It’s just a weird pick for a dude who wasn’t that productive in college until his fourth year and even then it wasn’t exactly an explosive season around 800 yards. Dude was well shy of 1k. And it’s odd to me to spend a second round pick on a guy who isn’t going to be a starter.

We nailed the Young pick and then reached on Mingo and reached on DJJ. What a weird draft.

It’s just a number. He can either pay MC off for the number or he can pick his own number. If I were him, since hes such a unique player at the QB position he should grab 0.

At this point folks are just looking for any and all reasons to blame Tepper for SOMETHING.

I’ve been pitching, if Levis goes to the Titans, we swap him for Malik Willis 1:1 to give both guys a fresh start.

I hadn’t yet but I agree with Lombardi. I think the one thing we are missing still is a true pass rusher opposite Burns.

Once we get some picks tonight as long as they arent super odd this place will get a lot more enjoyable. We are a playoff potential team right now. We should be excited.

Correct. We don’t know for sure. But I didn’t make a thread about Young’s weight. I haven’t made any threads about concerns for Young. Somebody made a thread about comparing the weight of Bijan and Bryce so I felt like I can try and point out the differences for the OP. His height and weight and been beaten to death. Until the draft starts up again though it’s all folks really seem to want to talk about still here on the forum.

I mean I don’t know where he got that number from. For him to lose roughly 15 pounds from his already skinny frame during the season he would have looked a little sickly.

Maybe not but I’m sure he sold a chunk after he got drafted and I’d wager a lot of Carolina area nfl stores would have his jersey in it even if there aren’t a ton. And he fell in the draft so he’s not making like 8 million dollars this year. It’s going to be up to Bryce to pay him I’d imagine. Matt posted a picture of himself today showing off that number 9.
