Harry couldn’t even make an impact last year on a Bears receiving room that was devoid of talent with injuries to Mooney and Claypool. For sure a bust.

The consensus around here seems to be we aren’t a playoff team even with Bryce. If he gets hurt I’d rather see MC out there getting reps than Dalton. I’d rather lose with MC than Dalton. Maybe he will flash and look like trade bait.

Why move him? If Bryce gets hurt I’d rather see him in there than Dalton.

Fields has had a great camp and finally has weapons around him. Lawrence has gotten better from year one to two. Lance should have never been drafted where he was. Wilson has looked good in preseason. Mac Jones was always the high floor, low ceiling guy and looks just like that in New England. Wilson would be getting another chance to start if not for AR.

Glad we didn't fall for Lance. There was never a bigger risk in the top 10 of the draft at QB in my eyes. Didn't throw the ball in high school and only chucked it for one year in college and his college competition was super on the low end.

Call TY Hilton or Julio Jones. By the time they get hurt, Chark will be back. Then when he gets hurt again, they will be healed.

Hopkins wasn't going to come here anyway.

Lets ask Chicago for DJ Moore.

On paper, this WR group with 2011 Cam would have been even more bonkers. But thats on paper. Its difficult to compare a finished season to one that hasn't begun when the seasons are over 10 years apart.

No, I don't think its true at all. I think you are attempting to turn something that wasn't about race into something that is. Fun fact though, Tepper has final say over whatever he wants to have final say over. Ultimately. He is the owner. He can hire and fire anyone in the org. And he can put people wherever he wants on it. So the fact Wilks even got to coach the team temporarily goes against what you are saying. There were white coaches he could have chosen from if he wanted. Keep that bs for the tinderbox, please.

There is no correlation between dominating preseason and dominating in the regular season. Also, in years past you had these guys who were starters throwing 50+ passes in preseason. Bryce has thrown how many? If the starting QBs were on the field for like 12 drives in preseason, starters now get like 5. You often have rookie defensive ends make little to no impact during preseason and then they have 7.5+ sacks as a rookie. DJ Moore is a terrible preseason player. Yet he almost always puts up 1k yards in the regular season. DJ has 1 catch off of 1 target for a 62 yard touchdown in Chicago this year. He never caught a TD in any other preseason with us. And his 62 yards this year is only lower than his 75 yards in his rookie year. And in his rookie year he only caught 4 of the 12 passes thrown his way. And there are countless examples of guys like this. You guys are taking statements and trying to remove context. Winning and losing in preseason? Absolutely DOES NOT MATTER. Effort matters, sure. But you also need to remember that this is preseason and that is has no bearing on predicting how a player will perform in the regular season.

What has Bryce done wrong? I’ve seen like two overthrows and both were due to pressure. And I’ve seen one underthrow due to pressure where he couldn’t step up to make the throw. Situations where most passers struggle. R-E-L-A-X

Bagent just drove the Bears down the field like 85 yards after a penalty to score. He only had one bad throw on the drive and he missed a read on the touchdown run he had to end the drive. Johnson came out of the backfield and there was nobody covering him for an easy pitch and catch. Bagent panicked a little and took off to the opposite side of the field and dove head first for a touchdown.

I wouldn't recommend the Packers fandom right now if he is looking for a stable franchise. The Lions look good, the Bears are coming up and the Vikings are going to be pretty good, too. If I had to pick one team to send somebody to, to play it safe as a fan, I would go Pittsburgh. There is something to be said for spoiling your fanbase with never having a losing record in any season under Mike Tomlin.

Bears have a long history of finding well above average running backs in rounds 3+ and every sing points to Roschon Johnson being the next in line for that title. He looks like the best back on the team running and catching the ball. Not sure they give him much time over Herbert and Foreman during the regular season but I think by seasons end he is a huge part of the rushing attack.
-
He absolutely is one of those guys that doesn't need to play preseason football considering his running style.

Bears put in rookie Tyson Bagent. Division 2 kid. Going to take PJs job.

I feel you. The emotional part of me says if you hit my guy, I hit yours. Its how we did things in baseball but the last thing the Bears want is extra cheap shots at Fields. If Richardson gets dinged up the Colts just go to Minshew.

PJ already looks like midseason PJ. One pass hit EQS in the hands and he dropped it so not his fault but his first pass was a rollout dumpoff to a running back and he just whiffed on the throw horribly. Guy had no shot at it.
