  1. You’re deflecting for Bryce and he doesn’t need it. If he plays better folks will come around and have less to criticize.
  2. He just needs to play better. That solves everything.
  3. When we have the stretch after the bye of QBs we passed on, one of those games is asking for the opposing QB to have a bad week and we step up for the W. Houston at home Indi at home at Chicago That’s where we start winning. Houston and Chicago should be the most winnable. Stroud is due for a rookie dud and Chicago doesn’t play any defense. Indi with Minshew might be tough for us.
  4. Agreeing to disagree trying to lay all the blame on one person.
  5. Bears will not trade Mooney. The rest I get. He’s one of Fields best friends, they had an off game this week but he’s also open a lot. So they’ll link up more here soon. If the offense is finally starting to click once they dumped Claypool they aren’t going to make any other big changes on offense and Mooney is their third option behind Moore and Kmet.
  6. With the game on the line, Ryans and Slowik put the play-calling duties in the hands of their rookie quarterback, and he manipulated the Falcons defenders perfectly to find tight end Dalton Schultz running up the seams for an 18-yard touchdown. “Me and Bobby had a conversation on the sideline about a certain route that we wanted to do,” said Stroud on Wednesday. “We didn’t have it in at practice. I told Dalton to do a certain thing in his route that I thought would not only get us a first down but a touchdown. We were on the same page, but I was literally trying to break down exactly what I wanted from him in the huddle. At first I don’t think it registered, but then he said, ‘Okay, I get it.’ “Dalton is really smart and made a hell of a route. I was just being instinctive and putting my guys in the best position to make plays and win games and in that instance it was really special and Bobby was really happy on the sideline. He [Slowik] was a part of that too when I was talking on the sideline about doing it and he said, ‘If you are feeling it, just go ahead and make a play.’” from: https://texanswire.usatoday.com/2023/10/11/c-j-stroud-texans-final-offensive-drive-falcons/ Stroud got the exact look he wanted and was telling the TE to run a route they weren’t even practicing while in the huddle and it resulted in the go ahead touchdown to put them up. Sure it’s not an audible once they got to the line but that’s because he knew the defense. But it also pretty sure I’ve seen Stroud and AR change plays up and audible out of bad spots. Not sure where this article is coming from.
  7. I don’t think I’ve said anything to dispute that. I just pointed out we don’t know for sure if it’s 8 weeks and that he’s had the type of plays that wow you where Young hasn’t yet. And Richardson has had those moments on significantly less pass attempts. If you can’t play you aren’t helping your team. I’ve never suggested otherwise. So I’ve been keeping it consistent.
  8. 4-8. But when AR is in there he’s looked like a more confident passer than Bryce. He’s definitely flashed with some incredible wow throws in his short time playing. They should probably run him less going forward considering Moss and Taylor are both good.
  9. Let what Fields is doing right now and what Stroud has done this whole season be a prime example of why we should no longer accept the critique of “he can’t be successful in the NFL because he went to X school”. And let CJ also be a prime example of why “it’s just preseason” is accurate. He had a terrible preseason and folks here were mocking him like crazy after his first preseason game where he had a terrible INT and had no rhythm within the offense.
  10. Follow up and ask him what he would give up for him.
  11. I feel I’ve been very clear he’s part of the problem but he’s not THE problem. There is no one fall guy for what is going on here. If you’re looking to point a finger at just one person you are absolving far too many others of blame. I’m not being naive and just blaming Tepper, who I don’t like, for all the Panthers issues. You’ve watched Panthers game this year, how many guys would you say on the team have been a dawg and are showing that they are absolutely busting their ass regardless of the coaching staff? How many out there are looking like they are giving maximum effort and are having pride in what they are doing? Theres like four guys on the team who have performed well. If they can, so can the others. How many coaches are doing a great job to push the right buttons to get the most out of these guys? Again, at some point the talent needs to take over. Bill B is one of the greatest coaches of all time and his team looks like bums this year. Some years it doesn’t work. Some years players don’t execute. Mac Jones looks like he’s regressed every year. Is that more on Bill or more on Mac? The Carolina Panthers in years past on -and short plays could tell you Cam was running the ball for the first down, the defense could know it, and it didn’t matter. He was going to outdo the defense and get the yard. Listen to a micd up. There are tons of time Ray Lewis or even Luke here diagnosed a play and shouted to the whole defense what it was before the snap and sometimes we stopped the play and sometimes the other team still got good progress. Knowing is important but execution is most important. I can’t blame Tepper because Horn is soft as hell and down every year so our secondary is always in a bind. I can’t blame Tepper that Miles Sanders hasn’t wanted to show up and ball out one single week this season. I can’t blame Tepper because the coaching staff hasn’t trusted Bryce to do much more than run screens. poo personnel on the field still beats good personnel on the field when it executes. That’s why it’s so rare for a team to go winless or go without any losses. Our execution on the football field this season has sucked. That’s not the fault of just one person.
  12. Even worse: the team Chicago trades the first overall pick to is a divisional opponent for us.
  13. I don’t think Tepper is forcing certain free agent acquisitions , I don’t think Tepper is choosing who is in the game and who is in the bench, I don’t think Tepper is calling plays, and I don’t think Tepper is lining up and not executing. Im not a fan of Tepper at all and he certainly deserves some blame for the state of the organization but ultimately the product on the field is a result of the players and coaches. It’s sports. You can know exactly what the other team is doing but if they execute it better they still pick up the first down or score. Tepper isn’t out here throwing pick 6s or getting strip sacked from the QBs right hand side. Tepper isn’t coaching or calling plays to not throw the ball downfield. You can dislike Tepper, I do, but we absolutely should not use him as the scapegoat for what happens once kickoff begins. The coaches and players aren’t executing and making adjustments. Even the worse teams in football find a way to win games here and there. Because they executed that week and made adjustments throughout the game. Our coaching staff hasn’t lived up to the hype and almost all of our players are having down years.
  14. https://x.com/panthed4l/status/1711766274185855161?s=46 Every run from LS this week.
  15. It’s an upgrade for us. Move whatever you need to, to support your young QB. The franchise will go nowhere if he doesn’t develop. JJ becomes our best or second best WR the moment he gets here so long as he is healthy.
  16. 1. He’s not a star like the tweet says. 2. We don’t have ammo to grab a year 2 WR lol. 3. Green Bay doesn’t gain much by moving him for anything we can offer. He’s on a rookie deal that doesn’t expire anytime soon.
  17. If he were in a game of Dungeons and Dragons he wouldn’t be able to post here at the same time. It’s very time consuming.
  18. He’s open at some point on almost every route.
