The Deion train has been derailed.

Oh this is how I operate. I don’t poo any post, first. When one of mine gets pood I just click who did it and poo their 2 most recent. Repeat for any new poo I get.

The crazy expectations come from the camp stories about him and draft hype and going to a team that won 7 games last year, which is not normal for the team getting the first overall pick. Both PFF and ESPN have him rated as the worst of the 3 first round QBs and among the worst of all the first round rookies as a whole. So it’s not just fans here pointing out the poor play. He made progress last week once the game got out of hand, he was 2 of 14 throwing the ball when pressured, so let’s see him make some progress there each week and start getting us in games earlier so it doesn’t look like people have to fight over what counts as garbage time. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-grading-all-first-round-picks-week-5-2023-nfl-season

I’m just sold on ND being super overrated. I don’t bet big money by any means. I started this season with 50 invested. I’m up to 400 so a 350 gain between CFB and NFL. I usually just drop 25 or 30 on a game im feeling and never against the spread. 30 on the Bears to beat the Commies got me a +90 gain. I didn’t feel conviction in any of the other CFB games this week outside of ND sucking. The other one I was interested in was I’d pick Oregon to beat Washington outright but there wasn’t much to win when I was looking at it.

I got USC winning outright as the only bet I placed this weekend.

Would you find the Panthers going 0-17 funny?
Varking replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t think going 0-17 is funny but I also don’t think we are going 0-17. We have winnable games right after the bye. 3 of them. -
Not ignoring you. Picking up my kid from school and then back to work. Will double back to this in a few hours.

I watch every snap of Young, Fields, Stroud, Richardson. I don’t have All-22. I do not only watch YouTube highlights. However, I was just making a point that nobody here is studying these guys like some NFL scout to know what is being asked of each player. Where did I say his line was just as bad?
-
I am sympathetic to it because Fields DID go through this and any time I defended Fields I got shredded for it. My question is, because none of us are studying CJ tape and we aren’t in huddles and locker rooms, how do we know what is being put on the plates of either guy? And because of what Fields went through and now in his second year of a new system and new coaching staff that’s what I don’t want for Bryce. I want him to be in the same system for years rather than have to learn a new one next year. That’s why I’m ok with trading away our defense to support our QBs development. That’s why I’m on record saying he needs two full seasons before he’s truly judged as a stud or a bust. I’m not unfairly critiquing Bryce. He’s being critiqued based on what he puts out in live games. That’s not me calling him a bust. And in the game day threads when he makes a great throw I say just that. When TheCasillas was doing his all 22 posts I was the one requesting the play where Bryce showed flashes of what he can do. I’m not just blindly hating the kid. His situation looks incredibly similar to what Fields went through for his first two years. No major weapons to throw to and a line that clearly isn’t great with a play caller not taking advantage of his strengths. And it frustrates the poo out of me to see that play out. Im not having buyers remorse on Bryce yet and I agree he was overhyped in terms of his football intelligence and processing. I don’t care about his height. But he’s ESPNs second lowest rated QB in the NFL on the QB Index only in front of one guy. It’s not just folks here on the forum frustrated with what we’ve seen so far. If he plays better, more folks will come around and there will be less complaining. We have three straight winnable games after the bye. We need to win.
-
If he can get to 3500 yards and 25-27 TDs passing nobody will care about the picks.
-
All good. I’m going back to other threads.
-
Are you not in the game day threads? We talked about things he did well in the fourth quarter. Some folks just put it under the blanket of it being “prevent” defense but others were happy progress was made period. I know I said I’m more comfortable with Bryce after last game.
-
Have any of us watched his film to know how frequently he has done something like this? Has anyone watched the film to see how many times they have audibled at the line? Let’s not act like we know what’s going on more than we do.
-
Swing and a miss. We agreed to just disagree and you’re still going.
-
You hit submit too early.
-
His OC just gave him credit for coming to him telling him he wanted to run something they haven’t practiced and then had to tell Schultz in the huddle what he wanted him to do. His OC said “if you’re feeling it, go for it” and let him make up a play. It worked.
-
I’m on record not calling him a bust and saying he needs two full seasons to be fully judged. However, that doesn’t absolve him of judgement for what he has put out there in games so far.
-
Thank you! I cheer for the kid every Sunday. When he flashes I point out when I think he’s doing well. When he isn’t doing well I point it out. This false narrative about not giving him a fair shot through 4 games ( 5 but he missed one already ) only because you wanted Stroud is ridiculous.
-
Incorrect. If he played better we wouldn’t even be having threads like this made to play some sad music for Bryce. You don’t have to be pro Stroud to feel like this.
-
We say this only because Stroud is having major success. Nobody here follows them close enough to know what’s being asked of him.
-
Bruh he made this adjustment before they even got to the line to snap. He KNEW what the defense was doing before they even lined up.
-
CJ is drawing routes in the dirt they didn’t even practice because he knew Bates ( the safety that picked off Bryce twice ) was going to be aggressive and look to jump a route and end the game. He had to tell the TE in the huddle what he wanted him to change. The CJ isn’t making adjustments narrative can die right there.
-
Linked it above before this reply.

Here because you missed it
-
Wrong. We just talked yesterday about CJ making adjustments on the TD play to the TE to score and put his team up. “Well documented” is one tweet by one guy.
