Alabama wins games. But… Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, Trey Lance, Mac Jones, Kellen Mond, Kyle Trask and so on and so on all won games. Teddy B in college won games.

We also got to coach him already so I doubt they felt they’d learn anything new about him on a pro day.

I’ve held off on making comments about his legal case but I’ve decided it’s too risky to trade for him and we should just do what we can to ensure Fields, Wilson or Lance. It’ll cost less.

I find it hard to believe that Mac Jones didn’t take Alabama’s weight training and lifting program seriously but he’s going to start now as a Pro. He couldn’t be convinced by the greatest college football coach of our time in Saban but he’s going to work harder under Rhule and Brady? Cmon. Brother, you could have QBd for Alabama and had success this season.

We just watched clips of Teddy throwing deep to DJ. He threw it deep. They were just underthrown. Which is what we just saw from Mac Jones today.

I don’t believe he’s any more elite above than shoulders than Wilson, Fields, Lawrence, Lance or Trask. They all would have looked outstanding at Alabama this year.

He sounds like Teddy.

His mechanics are fine. He just doesn’t have the oomph needed for those to be on the money. Both of these throws had the WR had to slow up or wait for the ball instead of being able to continue to run your route full speed and take off once you have it. You can watch these clips over and over and the only negative part of these plays is the throw. Mac Jones doesn’t lead either receiver. And I think it’s just a physical limitation with him.

Justin Fields had that game against Clemson.

Guess I should have posted this here instead of the draft forum. My thoughts are that we shouldn’t trade up to 2 but it might help our chances at landing a QB if they don’t trade back.

He did and he wants to run a 4.39 on his pro day but it really doesn’t matter much.

It’s because he has to wait on Teddys underthrow to come down so he can fight back towards it.

He the lightning fast player that is electric when he’s on the field but spends a lot of time not on the field.

I don’t disagree. I would feel much better about Trask in the 3rd than I would drafting Jones anywhere in the first.
