  1. And wins and losses are being viewed more and more as a pointless stat as time goes on. ERA is significantly more important. Giving up 10 runs a game but your team scoring 11 doesn’t make you a good pitcher. But your win-loss record would indicate you are. Hence why in recent times people like deGrom have won Cy Young awards over pitcher with a bunch more wins than them.
  2. Mingo didn’t even have big college production in Kiffins fast paced offense. That was my biggest concern around him. I think they had 1k yard receivers every year up until he was the top WR on the roster and he couldn’t get close to it. 861 in year 4. Never a big touchdown guy either. He just… never really produced like a top round pick kind of player.
  3. Wins and losses, to me, aren’t a QB stat anyway. You can ball out and lose or some games you can play like trash and win.
  4. What id like about this scenario more though is it would at least help our young QB with his development. Trading away your best offensive player who happens to be a young WR to move up for a QB never made much sense to me.
  5. You’ve been wrong about CJ since he got drafted, you literally put up your own money against him in the Steelers game, lost the bet as he threw for a couple touchdowns and 300 yards, and still claim to be some QB Savant. Chill.
  6. Bears would have taken other offers from us if we included DBrown or BBurns. Their top guy was DJ Moore but they were open to others.
  7. Just a cool little footnote. Lots of CJ v Bryce but adding Will Anderson to it makes a little bit of history.
  8. You know it's a completely valid take to acknowledge Stroud has outplayed Young so far, right? I have seen progress from Bryce week over week for the most part but it's hard to watch every snap of both offenses and make a determination that we drafted the better QB, so far. I am not hanging my hat on what they did in college. It no longer matters the moment they get drafted. For what they have done in the NFL, CJ, right now, has played better.
  9. Umm I think in your attempt to levy some personal insults my way you got me confused with somebody else. I have been on the Stroud bandwagon since long before the Georgia game last season. I made the first thread for us to draft Stroud. It was literally called Suck Proud for Stroud. I have never not been on the Stroud bandwagon. There’s been no flip flopping to the flavor of the week. Swing and a miss for you.
  10. Are you trying to rib folks? I don’t want to assume.
  11. Yeah, Stroud has been playing as well as any rookie QB ever so of coarse some streaks and records are getting smashed.
  12. You can trade Burns for picks, or WR help and a pick, fire Scott in the offseason and let the new GM make the pick.
  13. I feel like this is part of the reason you trade Burns. We are next to last stopping the run and he’s a huge part of that. If he’s not going to be a game wrecker in the pass rush ( and he isn’t on that level yet ) then it doesn’t make up for how poor he is against the run.
  14. I hope that’s not true because I am predicting our first win of the season!
  15. Correct. Going into this season nobody was viewing the Texans weapons as a plus. Most folks thought they had something in Pierce and that was really it. AT+Chark+Sanders, Pittman+Pierce+Taylor were both viewed as significantly better than …Collins, Pierce and Woods. And if you go read any Texans page a whole load of them are STILL pushing the idea they need another WR in round 1. The Texans top 2 accounted for 90 catches, 1008 yards and 4 TDs last year between Nico Collins and Robert Woods ( their 1 and 2 going into this season ). The Colts top 2 accounted for 140 catches, 1518 yards and 6 TDs between Alec Pierce and Michael Pittman. The Panthers top 2 accounted for 100 catches, 1218 yards and 9 TDs in AT and DJ Chark last year. Heck, AT’s 6 TDs alone matches the other two teams top 2 guys when you combine them. You have to give Stroud credit for what they have done on offense so far especially with the entire offensive line being hurt and no run game. It’s ok to be high on Bryce and recognize Stroud is currently outplaying almost every rookie QB in recent times.
  16. And a lot of times the better QB doesn’t win…
  17. If this were true the Chargers would have a significantly better record year in and year out.
  18. I look at it like he’s due for a dud.
  19. I think Harbaugh would end up bailing on Bryce and draft McCarthy. I’ll pass.
