You can put it on both.

So if Sam lobs that ball it gets tipped?
-
It’s funny to see you ask anybody else if they are stupid lol
-
He could only make a good play because of where Sam put the ball. CMC is miles open.
-
Terrific play Brady drew up to throw to CMC in the end zone and Sam gets it knocked down.
-
I actually agree with you.
-
All good. He’s in!
-
I’d like to see how he looks in game for a quarter. If he looks good, leave him in.
-
Seriously? I thought they said Sam was good to go.

Picket doesn't seem all that safe to me. This is his fifth year playing college ball and its his first being anything more than a below average college QB. First four years never had a completion percent at 62+. His TDs to INTs were: 1:1 12:6 13:9 13:9 The age gap definitely helps when it comes to college football. He has been 23 years old for the entire college season and will be 24 years old just two months after he gets drafted. When he was playing against kids his age he looked like a nobody really. And it also doesn't help that he is just now putting up numbers when it seems like all of the schools in the ACC has taken multiple steps back outside of Wake Forest who plays no defense. Pickett was born on 6/6/1998. Darnold was born 6/5/1997. He is just 364 days younger than Sam Darnold.

Its very much like Zach Wilson. His numbers vs crap teams was mindblowingly good. His numbers against teams that finish with winning records was awful. NFL teams fall in love with the tools though and a strong arm and good legs will get you drafted anyway. I hope we aren't one of the teams looking at grabbing a QB in this draft class because Howell is the only one I am interested in as of now.

It doesn’t give him more time to throw but it might give him somebody who is open quicker. Quick completions tire out a dline over time. A tired dline gives a QB more time to throw.

I played ball in college as well. When you pitch you don’t want to do any sort of hard lifting and then you need to give your arm rest. This is especially true during the season. That’s why you lift lightly. The only time you can make transformative changes to your muscle structure is the offseason and depending on how quickly that’s going on you don’t also have the time to properly work on mechanics and stretching. You have to pick and choose your battles with that but that’s why most people who are throwers don’t have these massive body transformations.
-
It’s the same reasons why you don’t see crazy body changes in baseball most times: mechanics and timing. Getting more muscular can help with swing speed and arm speed but it can also throw off your timing tremendously by just a bit. And at the pro level that hurts more than it helps unless you have a long time between seasons to get reps in. It’s easier to work out to stay where you are right now.

Jason Peters was had for basically free and has been great this year. No point playing the we could have had game.

He would help for sure. His swag and attitude is something our defense shows at times but our offense never shows. There’s too many teams in front of us that could use him and the contract is manageable. We have no shot.

Erving's "effort" on the play that got Sam hurt

You have to keep your head on a swivel. They teach this in pop warner. -

He knows who Erving is after half a season. He knew he wasn’t coming to block one of two dudes about to hit him. He needed to get down. -

Except our QB red zone runs are exactly why our red zone efficiency has jumped drastically over last season. Those plays work because Sam isn’t expected to run. Plus, on most of them he goes untouched to the end zone. This was failure on multiple levels. Erving, Paradis and Sam Darnold. There really isn’t much of an argument for not sliding there. It’s not like he didn’t see guys coming and he knows he has to protect himself. -

We could have signed Jason Peters… -

Exactly what Bears fans are thinking as well.

The team that had the first ever all defense NFL draft is a defensive team?
