They flashed a stat in the 4th saying his average completion was like 14 yards in the air. He’s doing this as a rookie against a really good defense and no offensive line. You’ve just been on the anti Fields wagon for a while now so you have to downplay any good he’s doing.
-
We should have picked him.
-
I don’t believe for a moment Fields is getting good coaching. It’s just trial by fire.
-
He has “it”. Now the defense needs to step up. Steelers can easily walk this down the field to kick a game winner.

Watch this team go out and beat the Cardinals on Sunday

Losing does that to this place. I’ll just scale back activity a bit until things calm down around here. Or I’ll focus on the NCAA threads and who our potential draft picks could be. -

Don’t do this to us lol -
Those same announcers also said Meyers was Jones favorite red zone target despite the record for never scoring a TD. They also claimed CMC was Hubbard for a play or two.

The 2022 NFL Draft QB class is giving off 2013 vibes
Varking replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
9 games this year, only 2 games with 3 or more passing touchdowns in a game. Only 3 games with 300+ passing yards in a game. He has been a good red zone runner. At 6’0 and 200 pounds even he isn’t going to be that type of runner in the pros. He’s a good college QB. He’s going to need time sitting in the pros. -

Lots of guys can throw 60 yards but I never questioned his arm strength. -

He’s going to have to sit next year. This is his first good year in college. Why would you assume he’s ready for to start right away? -

Most of the top QBs in last years class did not play four seasons. Also, Corral 10 games last year, 29 passing touchdowns. 9 games this year, 16 touchdown passes. He’s cut down on his INTs but he’s still meh -
At what point do they just have to bench Brady?
Varking replied to onmyown's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he’s not doing a good job this season. But I think there are no coordinators in the league right now who can make things work with Sam and this oline. -
If this FO was serious about winning they would bring back Cam

Not only will this never happen, it shouldn’t. Look around. Does an elite QB win a Super Bowl with this squad? What about a great QB? Good QB? What about league average? Which would be an upgrade over Darnold for sure! But at best we were going to sneak into the playoffs this year. We weren’t going to go far or do damage. If we are serious about winning we need to draft one. -
Already moving on from him.
-
He’s third/fourth on my tier list of this batch of QBs.

For sure. Today made it more obvious. We continue to see plays where dudes get open and Sam gets picked by under throwing or overthrowing. Sam dirting balls immediately causing penalties. The kids not it. -
But he’s not.
-
No way for anyone to know that.
-
Some overreacting here but in light of a loss it makes sense.

Wish Tepper would have been able to convince Tomlin to come along from up north to coach us.
-
The Jaguars have a better culture right now that us.
-
I blame Matt Rhule.

His play calling last year was an issue just in the red zone. For the most part this year we had been heavily improved in the red zone. Unfortunately, our QB is still an idiot at times and makes really, really bad decisions with the football.
-
We have seen Watson in Houston be very successful with an equally poor offensive line for years. The problem there was often their defenses were bad as well.

All accounts I have read online said he has zero interest in recruiting.
