17.5 sacks and 31 Tackles for Loss.

Even if you wanted to draft a defender first overall this dude is going to play LB or DE in the pros? And will the team drafting him use him the same way he was used in college? Simmons from Clemson comes to mind in Arizona as a dude with tons of talent who was all over the field in college and the Cardinals used him nothing like he was in college. On top of this, I don't believe McCall is worth a second round pick.

You say this when its clear they are producing CJ Stroud to be a QB and not an athlete. And that isn't why Burrow left either. So it doesn't really prove your point at all.
-
He wasn't just a RB... he was the most active player studied by our doctors since Curtis Samuel. You hope both guys have success but CMC has missed too much significant time over the past two years that you have to question how much will he be available each season. Not only that but with him being an absolute monster for us, we haven't won... Its ok to let guys like that go. If trading him leads us to getting better odds at our QB, and building a balanced offense around him, then so be it.

Who happened to spend three years at OSU as well.
-
You are going to have to view Corral as a rookie again next year because he didn't get high end reps and he will miss the season.
-
Which is weird because at the end of the day we have seen so many players have success switching from QB to WR. Maybe not many, but I can think of a chunk of players that played college QB and at least were slot receivers in the NFL.

They were both made for the college game and they killed it at WVU. No shame in that!

Pat White... he was the West Virginia QB that basically died after a hit in the NFL, right?
-
We pretty much have to take a RB on day 2 in the draft, right?

I would prefer we pass on Gibbs unless its a later pick. He has absolutely no consistency as a running back but he is a good pass catcher out of the backfield. Against Texas - 9 Carries for 22 yards. His long was 7. So his other 8 carries net him 15 yards. This is terrible. Against Vanderbilt - 3 carries for 21 yards. This seems good. But he had a 17 yarder in there which means his other 2 carries were for 4 yards total. Against MSST - 10 carries for 37 yards with a long of 19. Meaning his other 9 carries totaled for 18 yards. Terrible again. Even the game against Arkansas, his best game - 18 carries for 206. This game had him break a 76 yard TD and 72 yard TD. 148 yards of his total on two plays. This means he had 16 other carries for 58 yards. Meaning the rest of the game he was averaging roughly 3.6 a carry. Now, you can't just take away stats but the point of the above is that Gibbs, as a running back, is basically a home run or nothing type of player this year. He is terrific catching passes but nothing from his performances screams lead back in the NFL. Najee Harris was a much better prospect as a running back coming out of college, was 232 pounds and showed he can carry the rock week in and week out. And he has been meh as a pro. Not to mention because of how "loaded" the RB free agent class is there are going to be a few nfl starters who sign somewhere for little money. -
Did you miss the OSU vs Iowa game yesterday where his receivers were absolutely not open by 5-10 yards every play and he dropped in dimes?
-
Iowa had only allowed 3 passing TDS all year going into this week. Penix Jr threw for four against UCLA like two weeks ago.
-
That’s my issue with the Bears. Jacksonville went out and signed folks to help Lawrence. The Jets had large drafts to help put Wilson. The Bears let Robinson walk away, signed four guys at WR who have never even been a #3, and traded away Mack and let a few other defenders walk. There was no infusion of offensive talent. I think the Bears new management wanted to make sure they felt comfortable investing in Fields first and all insider reports for Chicago say they are now high on him and think he can be the guy. So I think they’ll spend on offense and draft offense this off-season.
-
Im high on Ewers but he spent a whole year at the dreaded Ohio State.
-
So who are you high on @Catsfan69?
-
You let a combine tell you if he was going to be good or not? So you’ll wait to see CJS at the combine?
-
Don’t take guys like Justin Herbert either since Oregon usually outtalents the other teams around them.
-
Stroud will end the day with a horrific: 20 of 30 for 286 passing yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT in a game where his top two running backs went 21 rushes for 57 yards.
-
How would you have rated Josh Allen in college?
-
I still have hope for Fields in the NFL. He landed in an awful situation. Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts looked bad too until the teams gave them some talent. I think the Bears have the most cap room in the nfl ( could be wrong ) for next year and I’d expect them to draft a WR early in the draft to pair with Mooney.
-
Part of the reason why I wouldn’t judge a player off of one game.
-
I think this is a Ryan Day thing. He doesn’t trust the backup and if Stroud gets hurt they have no chance to win in the playoffs. Earlier this year Florida did the same thing with Richardson because the backups are poor.
-
We got a second third and fourth this year plus a fifth next year. Oof
-
He just signed an NIL deal with Gatorade now so I’m really confident he’s coming back next year.
