I mean… his lows were super low. That Bengals game was uglier than anything I can remember here in a long time. We also just didn’t want to cover Tampas best WR with a second guy for some inexplicable reason. I think it evened out to a wash basically. The good stuff was good but there were some god awful head scratchers after Snow left as well. It damn sure wasn’t great. We let Joe Mixon look like the best back in the league. Then we made a down year Mike Evans look like he was better than Justin Jefferson. I haven’t seen this kind of stubbornness since Rivera was here.

I’ve been on the Stroud bandwagon for longer than anyone. He’s my guy in this class. Young feels like the type of guy to look good for two seasons and then the size concerns come into play and he’s dinged up and not the same going forward. He doesn’t weigh enough. He didn’t really put on weight while at Alabama. For a kid knowing his goal is to get to the NFL it felt like he didn’t really work to alleviate those concerns about his size. I can deal with the height. It’s not the be all, end all, but he seriously like 20-30 pounds under where I would feel comfortable with him long term. And to that note, if he gains that weight now I wonder if it will impact his speed and agility.

Dude is a jerk but he does have a source inside the team. Folks have been speculating the two teams are the Panthers and the Titans.

Remember the Eagles game a handful of years ago where we started out poorly and had one of our biggest comebacks in the 4th quarter with Cam? Do you not remember all the times Cam slid, popped up and did his first down celebrations? Nobody is saying Cam is without fault but he did have poor offensive coaching and less than desireable weapons around him. Let’s not make stuff up.

You mean like how he played in college? He rushed for more yards as a pro this year than he had his entire college career. Sometimes circumstance dictates what you need to do to have a fighting chance each week in the NFL. He ran this year out of necessity. And they were in most games because of it. He’s already said before the season ended you won’t see him run like this next year and the coaching staff agreed.

They aren’t going to take Burns. You could get Will Anderson instead in the draft by dropping to 3 or 4 and getting extra picks and not have to pay to DE money for Burns. Offer two first, two seconds and a third somewhere and I bet they take the bait. The Bears dream would be trade back to 2 with the Texans who get their guy and then trade back to 4 with the Colts so they get their guy. You get extra picks, and still get Carter or Anderson. And if they felt comfortable with trading back to us that’s three future firsts or seconds and still getting a top guy in this draft PLUS they have the most money to spend in free agency.

And Fields had his biggest game against a Clemson team and won it. And played hurt. I want Stroud but I’d take Fields over him.

The thing is.. I think Ryan did fine as Hal. But this CGI is so bad, plus the villains CGI was so bad, that it couldn’t be a good or great movie. It takes you out of it so fast. Plus the ridiculousness of an alien crash landing into earth and the folks were able to make a phone call, wait on a ride, have a convo about it and leave before anyone from the government could get there… even young me knew this was rough. I have high hopes for this show though! I did a whole video on all the history of this show plus old audition tapes.

His issue is he ended one season hurt in college, folks questioned his durability and then he got hurt in his first real action in the pros and got out out for the whole season. Talent is great but if it’s not on the field it sucks. We’ve seen that with CMC and Horn. He needs to bulk up some for starters.

I attended all of our home playoff games and never felt the stadium rock quite like that before then or since then. The stadium atmosphere was special.

Somebody recently asked Burrow if he considered himself an OSU guy and he said yeah in the interview. Talked about how much time he spent there developing.

Fields is the best runner in this class and statistically, in terms of accuracy, mopped the floor with guys like Richardson and Levis. At worst he would go third. However, he’s got better size , speed and arm strength compared to Young and he’s got a better arm, legs and build than Stroud. College Fields was better than all these kids. And size should be a major concern. It’s not like we are debating a kid who is 6’2 220 vs a kid who is 6’5 240. Young is both short and light for a QB. A lot of folks believe a QB who weighs less than 200 pounds is subject to higher risk for injury.

I agree and based on what I’ve seen I think his “accuracy” will look better in the NFL than it did at Florida.

If his legs are as advertised then at a minimum you can win with him as he runs a bunch and you can let the accuracy develop. He needs a good situation and I do believe we have one.

I get this thinking but this is why they pay folks to project and develop these kids. Old school thinking would have had Allen go undrafted and a small guy like Brees or Young wouldnt get a chance either. At some point franchises take that risk and sometimes it pays off.

I agree with you but then I watched my girlfriend complete the first game and Ellie in the game cusses like every other word. So it does fall in line with the games version of her.
