Before the contract was signed this is what he was estimated to get. And attached is what they project for Burns too.
-
Yeah Burns was like 60th out of 84 edge defenders against the run this year. Sweat was third out of 84. So Burns gets more sacks but Sweat hasn’t been a liability in the run game. Bears also resigned Billings on their dline to a cheap two year extension and he’s been a top ten DT per PFF this season. Now if they lock up Jaylon Johnson they may have a defense that’s starting to cook and turn things around. Bears got killed for letting Roquon Smith leave and then they signed Edmunds to a deal and they have similar tackles and sacks this year. But yeah. Burns is going to get 30+ mil.

Well after two bye weeks the Florida Gators are back in action! We take on the Arkansas Razorbacks and a win today makes us bowl eligible in year two of Billy Napiers regime! Also, our five star QB DJ Lagway finished out the season in Texas High School Football scoring another six touchdowns and closing out the regular season 10-0 on a team that was .500 the year before. He finished the regular season with 50 touchdowns despite not playing in the fourth quarter in 6 of 10 games and not playing in the second half at all in 4 of his 10 games. Elite help is on the way.

Yours will work as it does now until they force an update. Once you lose Twitter and it becomes X in iPhone your links won’t work.
-
It’s been around on twitter today but it looks like Scot already posted the tweet in the other thread. Hammy setback already.
-
Cohen is already having a hamstring setback? Not great.
-
I’m reading online he’s got a hamstring issue already?
-
Correct. We have to grab it from the website, not the app.
-
This.
-
Interesting. Even in his screenshot it’s a twitter link, not X. Folks who paste the X links have been the loudest about it not working.
-
It’s crazy how consistent Mike Tomlin is.
-
Isn’t it that X links don’t work but twitter does? I thought that’s the whole issue.

Enough time has passed - Feedback on the new playcaller
Varking replied to Varking's topic in Carolina Panthers
We can judge individual games now and judge batches or a seasons worth as time goes on. Isn’t that what we do for everyone? -
Injuries are way Chase Young didn’t get the fifth year picked up and now he’s gone for a 3rd round pick while having a good season. It’s hard to imagine Horns value right now is a second with all the health issues.
-
At this point we just need to bank on the fact that you can’t get injured as much as he has, going forward. Like it’s almost unheard of. I am expecting a healthy rest of this season and then a dominant 2024. And I shouldn’t…. But I am!

Absolutely not ignoring that. And that’s a big problem every week. I’m just talking about the play calling in this specific thread. -

That’s actually a big shout out I overlooked. Plays were consistently in earlier. Good catch. -

That’s what I thought too. We did less screens but I think a chunk of the big plays was Bryce just making something happen. -
I’m trying to be easy because this is the first time we got a win this season and it’s the first game Brown has ever called plays but there’s a lot to get better at here. To start, this was our lowest yardage total of the entire season. This was our third lowest scoring total of the season. In this game we had 10 drives with the football. 3 of the 10 drives had us lose yards. 6 of the 10 drives had less than 25 yards of offense. Once we lost the lead in the late third early fourth we went three and out on back to back drives and our defense luckily held them from scoring so we could go out and get that final drive. You also script most of your early plays and our first two drives were abysmal. It felt like he was better after the script was over. Obviously we loved the final drive for the walk off field goal but our other trips into the red zone weren’t good either. I was excited beforehand to see a new playcaller and I feel like during the game I had on some rose tinted goggles early on because we were in the game and then we won but after a second rewatch it seemed like all of our big plays were plays where things broke down and Bryce just made a play. I also did feel like we seemed less predictable so that was good. I don’t want to make this a negative thread I’m obviously stoked it feels like Bryce finally had THAT GAME where he’s showing everyone why he was a top pick in the draft and we won. I’m happy to be critical in a win rather than cranky after a loss. That being said though this was one of our worst offensive performances this season and I didn’t think the Texans were some dominant defense. Although looking at it now they are in the top half of the league in points per game on defense. What do you all think? We aren’t going to win many games putting up 15 points and I’m hopeful this gets better and better as the season goes on but I’m a little concerned now going into the Colts game.

He did not suck as a rookie lol. He played ten games, had 4 300 yard passing games and a 400 yard passing game. He had his team in every game but 3 or so until the end. And they were a true bad team the year before.

We should give Frank a bye every other week and let Wilks coach the odd number games. Frank is 5-0 after the bye. Time for 4D chess.

Official Trade Deadline & Speculation Thread
Varking replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
The insiders are saying it was just a third because Chase has made it clear he intends to test free agency so he’s just a rental. If he were willing to sign long term with somebody he would have gotten a higher return. That and folks still want to see him better after his injury. But I agree. Dudes a steal for a third and I can’t imagine he wouldn’t want to stay in SF after lining up next to Hargraves and Bosa. -

Ive got to take a kitten to the vet for an eye infection. Somebody else can add tweets and reddit posts for the last 30-45 of the trade deadline period. See you all in a bit. -

I would guess Mooney remains in Chicago. Can't see why the Chargers would want him.
