  1. lol I went through 7 pages expecting someone to explain this by now. This coming from a huge Cam fan. Luke, TD, Jake, Steve all have things in common.. they are retired, with no possibility they'll play for another team. It's just not what the majority of social media teams do. Also this can't be overlooked, we have a massive fanbase that wants to see Cam solve our CURRENT problems. So if we're posting all of his highlights, bringing him around etc. the org and social team has to deal with all of the 'Bring him back!' conversation. I personally believe if he were to retire it would be different.
  2. I saw 4 years $33.2M from the NFL account (not sure if the other 10 is a bonus or something)
  3. Yeah I'm not into college as much, so I admit not to having my own opinion about him coming out. But strictly watching ESPN shows, and going off of commentary at the time..It was a lot more 50/50 even on this board than what people like to remember and admit. Yes many people had doubts and questions, but MANY people also thought he could possibly be the one. I was only versed enough to know that it was between he and CJ, but most pundits made it sound like either way we had a QB of the future, just different skillsets/traits.
  4. I do think that while he was small, Bryce looked solid coming out of Alabama against top competition. A lot of people didn't see checkdown king in his future at that time lol.
  5. I typically feel this way, but after seeing so often that the highest pick doesn't guarantee a thing I'm on the fence.
  6. So you don't understand what an analogy is. Got it. I'm sure this conversation would go far!
  7. You seem to have an answer already so you tell me. Also I should've added 'while he was here'. The comments that I heard from Diontae sounded right on par with a WR that's on a 1-7 team with minimal production from the QB position. Us always wanting choir boys is part of why we have never had back to back winning seasons.
  8. I actually think I DO understand lol. I understand that when you're losing players will say things that are out of character. Diontae did not earn this super diva reputation people are trying to paint while here. The soft teams just go trading those talents away. Diontae was easily one of the top names on the WR market, and we gave him to a team with championship aspirations for a 5th rounder. Not only that but we also gave up a pick as well. For me it's the equivalent of when I'd trade in a game at GameStop and they'd offer me $2 to turn around and sell it for $30. I'd rather hold on to the game, and if I play it I play it, than get robbed bc I just wanted to move that piece. Part of the role Dan has is negotiation, negotiate something better (as shown in this trade.)
  9. Good maybe Steve Smith can focus his time on a project that will pan out for us now lol
  10. Which is NUTS, that was my first thought as well. We definitely won this trade, just keep trading with the Cowboys lol.
  11. https://x.com/MySportsUpdate/status/1853812857764229399 We're trading a 7th and Mingo, and getting back a 4th
  12. Genuine question bc I may be out of the loop, what did he say to throw him under the bus? I heard him sound supportive (or at least neutral) of Bryce even when there wasn't much reason to be.
  13. I'm wishing him well; he came to play, I thought he handled this sh*tshow very well. Go win. Now hopefully we are owed something good and we draft a Tyreek Hill or George Kittle with our 5th rounder lol.
  14. Coker has been a bright spot on the season.
  15. lol it's like he waited for those defensive players to get off the field before snapping the ball lmao
  16. Now why would you bring up one of the things that bothers me the most in Panthers History on this Monday?!
  17. Let's be clear, if we get a 3rd and 6th round pick we got over on the other team.
  18. It's not the worst football I've ever seen...bc I changed the channel in the 1st Quarter.
  19. lol if someone could come here and have basically two 1,000 yard seasons, and just do anything in the 3rd year they're already top 10 all time for our franchise
  20. Why are you throwing it to Ian Thomas?!?! WHY IS IAN THOMAS ON OUR TEAM?!
  21. I never saw the expectation when he was drafted that he'd be the next guy. Heck remember he was even playing some RB in college lol. With us having Kuechly and Davis, he was supposed to be able to fly around and use his athleticism as a complement to their styles. It worked for a while, but with no good team around him we see he's not exactly an All Pro franchise player. When you draft a guy 1st round I'd say you expect him to have great impact. Being a 'decent/good' player for the same team for almost 10 years definitely counts as a good pick in my book though.
  22. I'm glad I made this thread before he was injured, otherwise it may look very different now. A torn Achilles for an athletic style linebacker at 30 doesn't sound very promising for the future.
  23. To be fair, that's what the knock was on him coming in to Carolina, so now we're seeing it. (Now that we finally even have a chance to see it )
  24. That's what I've thought too;if I were a team that wanted him I would draft him; someone in the thread said year 1 he can sit out, year 2 he's a FA basically. If he wants to waste a year of his youth so be it, it's a gamble bc the next franchise that gets the #1 pick could also be horrible, and I don't see anybody actually wasting 2 years of their career. I say call their bluff or get a historically lopsided trade. (i.e. even more than we gave up for Bryce lol)
