CLG replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
They Executively Vice President the operations of football. How this helps the Panthers put a winning team together, i don’t know and no clue who he will report to. (Been a long day at work, I couldn’t help it.) edit: and what @PanthersATL said too lol -
Completely agreed!

For added context: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39422716/sources-brad-idzik-panthers-oc-call-plays CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- New Carolina Pantherscoach Dave Canales is hiring a familiar face as his offensive coordinator, but that person won't be calling the plays. Brad Idzik, who followed Canales from the Seattle Seahawks to the Tampa Bay Buccaneersto coach wide receivers last season, will again follow Canales to the Panthers, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Canales, however, will call plays for the Panthers as he did as the offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay last season, sources told ESPN. Idzik, 32, has never been a playcaller.

Mingo is getting better, we will see how he ends up. But I will say, him not knowing where he is on the field at times is infuriating. That drop where he pretty much kept running through the sideline and swung his whole body around to attempt to catch it to drop it and be out of bounds at the same time….. …I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it. I guess one could argue he thought Bryce would drop him a toe tapper leaning out of bounds but if he stops at the sideline on that and waits for the ball, he probably had 10 more yards up the field for a big play. We can compare all we want but I’m exhausted of the comparisons between our players and others at this point. We have who we have, at least he’s shown some improvement. I’ll make my decision on him next year.

Frank Speaks: The NFL is a meritocracy, it’s not unconditional love
CLG replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah my mans wasn’t about to give it up. Not in his personality imo and definitely probably in the details of the contract. Whatever, at least he wasn’t around long enough to piss me off too much personally and seemed like a good guy. -
It’s a goal of mine to get there, I’m closer to it than I am away from it for sure

We started to lose our identity when Cam was let go for whatever reason, obviously new regime and a lot of changes but we just didn’t feel right..not saying it was solely him but we did change. Got it back with Wilks and started winning games even though it wasn’t flashy.. and got rid of his ass.. and then…. This. I worry we start to lose the guys that are keeping our defensive identity up as we figure things out on offense. It’ll get super super ugly then. In short, I agree with Tre Bostons tweet if you saw it. We lost so many dawgs that could win off grit.. it might take some time to right this thing and we’ve already waited awhile
-
We here for you even as a lurker lol. I’m not the most active of posters just been here awhile. I try to be optimistic and it’s hard. I’m as removed as I’ve ever been emotionally and still get pissed off at some of the things I see and feel stupid for allowing myself to get that way repeatedly. You aren’t alone!
-
No argument from me there either.. they trust him and that’s on them. I did wonder the dynamics there myself, we just don’t know what Bryce was told and how he was directed and coached to make the decision. Or if he went against what he was told.. we just don’t know. What we do know is the offense has sucked all season and I doubt Bryce is changing the plays more often than he is taking the play call. Pretty much, from what we’ve seen the odds were against us either way. Speaking on that last play and first option being a better fit when as of today we were the 29th best offense with only 2 rushing tds.. and you specifically not adding much to the mix this season..read the room. I like Chark the person.. I’m just saying this is a statement I’d disagree with him putting out there.
-
Chark made some good catches today but should not be putting this out. I noticed him quitting on the top of his routes several times today and also not doing showing much effort to make himself available on off-script/extended plays. Haven’t noticed it so much prior but man.. be quiet, Chark lol
