I'm actually currently world-building my own fantasy realm to serve as the basis for a novel I'm going to write... lol... GRRM has inspired me...

If you haven't read the Hunger Games trilogy, you might as well pick those up... They are easy reads, and are a good story... You can get a hardcover box set at Target for like $25, and it the three books only span like 1000 pages or so... Plus the movie for the first book is coming out next year, and it was filmed in Asheville... I'm currently reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (also going to be a movie in December) but it is kinda tough to get into so far... I think it is the first book in a trilogy too...

I finally finished the third book this week... I feel the same way you did about the ending... She drug a lot of stuff out and then just chopped it all off at the end... I'm currently going retro and reading The Giver, by Lois Lowry... lol Still have these on my list for my next big reading after: Gardens of the Moon and Deadhouse Gates by Steve Erikson The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss Earth Abides by George R.
