  1. Based on how much time the defense was on the field last season, Rhule’s publicly stated desire to run the ball more, and McAdoo’s previous schemes, I think we’ll favor ball control and ToP over bigger chunk plays. I also expect us to be more effective at converting 4th and shorts. We have the personnel to do it, hopefully we execute.
  2. Out of curiosity, what is the point total if we trade them next year’s 4th instead? Or if we’re a 8-win team with say, a mid-round 3rd?
  3. Just watched the edited game against Tennessee (the 30 rush game). It was not a great showing for him, but among some bad throws, a lot of drops from his receivers, and struggles against the blitz in the 2H, his tools and mentality are apparent. He’s not afraid of anybody on the field. He takes hit after hit in that game and does whatever he can to extend the play without taking sacks. And his release is as quick as advertised. My goodness that Ole Miss offense is annoying to watch, but it’s probably not a bad idea for McAdoo to work some RPO into the offense on occasion as it will help Ickey ease into NFL pass pro, as well. Highly recommend watching a non-highlight video of Corral without commentary to form your own opinion.
  4. The ol’ Washington R-words strategy. I wouldn’t be opposed
  5. He’s done one too many toasts to Matt Corral it seems
  6. Preferred Howell to Corral but they were my two choices. Gonna trust the dudes who get paid to do this and assume they made the right choice
  7. I liked him a lot. Just based on watching games the games (not referencing any stats or grades) I felt like he was good against the run, but am hoping he can improve his pass rushing
  8. At this point I’m more concerned about what we’re doing to do at DE across from Burns. A lot of these guys are going earlier than expected. Not sure we’ll have a lot of options by the time the 5th round rolls around
  9. It tells me that most teams don’t need to use an early pick on any of these QBs because they aren’t prime prospects. I’m just wondering why you seem to have a particular bent against Howell.
  10. Is it an anti-UNC thing or do you not like Howell’s game?
