Some outside perspective on Bryce
ThrillzforthePils replied to thebdawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Can we stop saying we gave up 2 firsts for Bryce? It’s so misleading. We swapped 1sts and gave up next years first. It was a large sum and I’m not denying that. There has simply not been enough nfl game tape to nail down what Bryce will become. How many on here had given up on Derrick Brown? -
Cam got just as many shitty threads on him as Bryce has. Bryce needs more time than the front office led us to believe, whether it be his fault, the coaches, or a combination of both. Unfortunately they didn’t figure it out during the offseason.

It’s like people are surprised we got blown out despite predicting it. With a balanced attack Bryce looked as comfortable as ever. They need to keep finding that balance-hard to do against the best offense in the league. Bryce still has a ways to go finding out what works in this league. Him checking into a screen on a needed 1st down was not great, as well as trusting players to get a 1st when throwing behind the lines. He did show some nice pocket movement, but still hasn’t figured out just how quick nfl players are.

The issue with the team is Tepper…
ThrillzforthePils replied to Doc Holiday's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper deserves blame for sure, but certainly not all of it. It’s telling when an intern coach can completely shift a team midseason ala Wilks. Reich is the main issue -

First 1/3 of this article is pretty telling
ThrillzforthePils replied to Knaakedup's topic in Carolina Panthers
This guy speaks of Anthony Richardson as if Cam Newton never existed. Also, I don’t recall hearing that the playbook was Browns, just that it was a collaborative effort. Even so, Reich’s sequence of plays is more of a problem than the play designs, on top of the abysmal game management. Promote Brown to play call duties before you decide to can the guy… -
If Burns put his contract talks on hold during the season, and this is him playing for top dollar edge rusher money..we need to trade him for draft capital. I’d rather spend Burns money on resigning Luvu and Brown. We need an edge rusher who can defend against the run as well as the pass.

Tough to evaluate after 4 games. Tougher when the head coach and offensive coordinator can’t tell you what their identity is on offense. The players look lost because the coaching is lost. The easiest thing for Bryce would have been to focus on improving the run game from last year-something that was already working…

Had high hopes for him after flashing last year. He has been awful and it’s not coaching or scheme related—dude can’t seem to catch or hold onto the ball

I can think of someone Tepper would probably try and lure back….

He is one of the few players on offense that has some fuging motor

Did Thomas Brown take over play calling in the second half?
ThrillzforthePils replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
No. Reich said it has always been a collaborative effort in his presser -
Mr “I won’t stand up for Mediocrity” observes practice today
ThrillzforthePils replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This seems to be a trend with him. Did it last year too. -
It seems like it’s a struggle between Reich trying to adjust to Bryce’s game play and Bryce not trusting himself.
