Our roster mismanagement has been far worse than NE. That's a bold statement considering but it is true.

I got that vibe we're gonna suck for as long as he owns the team. He didn't learn a fugging thing in Pittsburgh...

It takes real effort to have the worst cap situation in the league and still have one of the worst overall rosters in the league, all this accomplished with a QB on a rookie contract. That's truly special stuff right there. LOL

SMH...LOL. Truly a cluster fug at almost every facet of this org.

Is this an attempt at humor?   There is reason for optimism, and for some people, there is a reason for pessimism.  What kind are you?

I'm a realist....I always error on the side of optimism...thus the pessimism now.🤣

For the record when I was a kid that was one amazing flavor. As far as the Panthers go I would rather be a cautiously hopeful realist than just all out negative about anything and everything so pour me a little Kool aid since I know the story book ending is far from guaranteed

I've drank so much koolaid ....i'm bloated... None the less i'll be tuned in this coming sunday, as usual

We really seem to have some characters (good personalities) in our drafted rookies.   We already sorta know XL, but the video game where Brooks starts giving Sanders a bit of lip and Wallace later under the mic--Considering the fact that we did not have a first rounder, we seem to have added a top RB (TBD), a top TE, and a top ILB.  If the light comes on for XL and maybe we get something out fo Smith-Wade (and Mike Jackson if you consider we traded our seventh for him) and we could get something out of Crumedy--this could be a great draft-

I think he sounds feminine when he talks, it creeps me out a little, for football is masculine poo. But I also think he is going to be really good once he gets his 'sea legs' in the new job.

I can't say until we play some games but I think Canales could be really good. Certainly better than the garbage Dipper has enlisted in the past... Its not like Dipper knows football...so, he'll prolly fk this up too.

I'm looking for 2 things this season.

    1. The development of Bryce Young. Our future relies in his hands. If he doesn't improve we have to move on point blank.

    2. The no name players making a name for themselves. Right now Brown is the only household name on the roster. Who will step up and make a name for themselves?

I will say, I think Canales is the best thing that could happen to Bryce.

    is by answering the question:

Does Bryce young look like he's going to be a franchise QB for next 10-15 years?

If that is true by end of year, then we likely have been able to :

    - protect BY with a solid OL play

    - have good weapons around to spread the ball around

    - have a solid running game to keep defenses off balance

    - are able to move the ball and score more than 20 pts per game consistently

    - BY is able to be a playmaker and make others better

Even if it doesn't translate to a lot of wins because we still have so many holes or thin spots on the roster, I'll be happy and excited for next year.

On the other hands, If BY does not look like HIM, has another bad year or looks like he will be nothing more than a game manager, then it's a failure even if we win 8-9 games because it means we'll be back in QB purgatory for years to come.

Nothing else really matters, does it?

You're gonna be disappointed as fk on this metric. I'll judge after this season...but I don't think its gonna change my mind.

bust vibes before week one is outright insane, i agree with you there, and it screams not being around the game long--Steve Smith caught 10 passes his rookie year. this board/fanbase is not currently in the business of caring about rationality or patience

7 years is patient enough I'd say.

I think, just like Bryce pointing out he is struggling and struggling and struggling.

It is too early to judge, but he's struggling and has for 98% of the off-season.

First rounders  suppose to hit the ground runnin...but we'll see. Given our historical propensity to draft shtty WR's I'm not enamored.....
