  1. I like a good underdog story myself. The UDFA we got who I thought had a legitimate shot to make the team, Taylor Upshaw changed his mind. With the path to making the team being beat out DJ Johnson I think he had a real shot. I maybe did jump in a little strong on Coker. I just spent untold hours on this year's WR class reviewing tape and listing strengths and weaknesses. I don't think Coker has is. That's my opinion and I shared it. There was a response, so I gave my opinion on what was said. It's a dialogue. A discussion. We could have continued. What's not cool is getting called out by some douche nozzle with 3 posts in a row just because the opinion doesn't mesh with the group think and isn't the opinion of the douche nozzle in question. We have a Nostradamus, a real football diety, someone who defies the great Steve Smith, who isn't talking intelligent football, and is just a troll. This isn't discussing football intelligently? Anyway, I won't ruin you Christmas. I don't plan to ever return to this site again after I hit submit. But before I go, maybe you'd like to pull for Andrew Raym, the Center from Oklahoma. He's a plus road grading run blocker, but isn't a great pass protector. He gets too upright and gets susceptible to a bull rush. He's got potential with some good coaching. Just my two cents. Have a nice Christmas. Peace!
  2. Awww, did her get her panties in a twist? So what position did you play on the girls field hockey team? And I played in college as well, football. And if your friends are on the Panthers staff, no wonder your opinions are so dumb. Your opinions align well with how horrific they evaluate talent. And the great talent evaluator Steve Smith, who is completely wrong about 70% of all WR's he evaluates says one thing, and any opinion contrary to that isn't discussing football intelligently? Prick huh?
  3. I felt the site needed a breath of fresh air from your "pre draft" Ignoramus input.
  4. Why am I not surprised Steve Smith thinks he's good? I feel further vindicated now. And I've read your posts on this site. I usually only get through about a third of the long winded nonsense that they contain though. It's funny that YOUR opinion is valid, but I'm a come lately Nostradamus. I didn't realize YOUR credentials. What are they again?
  5. Jalen Coker? Played at Holy Cross? Is there another Jalen Coker? I'm not going to waste any more time on an UDFA, but the very first scouting report I went to confirms what I saw on tape: Must prove he can get off the line against NFL size and strength. Monotonous route speed is unlikely to tilt pro coverage. Displays small gear-down when stemming the route. Needs to clean up the wasted motion getting into his breaks. It's not his biggest strength, it's literally his biggest weakness.
  6. Actually you are right. Those are athletic traits. NFL traits for a WR is how well they can stem routes and create separation, how quickly they can change direction, how fluid their hips are while breaking a route, is there any twitch or ability to influence a DB at the top of a route. He does those things very poorly. Technically he does have that one NFL trait, he can bully tiny undersized CB's with a combination of Offensive Pass Interference and their total lack of ball skills.
  7. This is hilarious. Coker has basically zero NFL traits. He's extremely slow on breaking routes. No route nuance at all. He looked marginally okay playing against CB's who compared to NFL CB's couldn't cover a bed with a blanket. The only wins you see watching him is blown coverages and him winning against tiny, undersized glorified high school level CB's with a good majority him commiting OPI that would be called routinely in the NFL. There were 30-40 better targets for an UDFA contract. But the awesome Panthers scouting department poops the bed again.
  8. Gotta love fans. One of the most hilarious things I remember from fans is going to games back in the day and hearing "Luuuuuuuuuuuke" whenever A.J. Klein made a tackle.
  9. THAT. IS. JUST. TERRIBLE. That's called the Fishbowl Drafting Technique. You put 300 names in a fishbowl and when it's your turn, you reach in, pull out a name then try to justify it with a paragraph. I would literally drive to Charlotte on April 28th, wait in the parking lot until Morgan showed up so I could identify his car. Then I'd go to a Taco Bell and load up on bean burritos and Doritos Loco Tacos with extra meat. Then drive back to the stadium, slash all 4 of his tires, fill the gas tank with sugar, then take wait for the Taco Bell to kick in and take a big old diarrhea dump on his windshield.
  10. Appreciate all the work you put into this post. I'm sure it was time consuming. However, that would be an absolute horrific start to the 2024 draft for the Panthers. You talked about patience and not reaching for need, yet you did that on both picks. Leaving Wiggins, Worthy, Tampa and Nubin available and taking Frazier is leaving better players on the board. It's not a completely aweful pick, it fills a need with a a player right behind those 4, but you don't leave Wiggins available when CB is an even bigger impact position and he's a massive upgrade at the position. Then you made a DJ Johnson level reach for an EDGE who couldn't produce in the worst conference in D1 football at 39 and left about 80+ more impactful and simply better players on the board. You get an A- and a F with the F so low it would bring the 2nd round down to a D+
  11. I think it's called a "realistic" draft because that looks like some horrific draft haul Rhule or Fitterer would end up with and nothing has changed in the scouting department.
  12. If the Panthers draft at least one EDGE player, or resign Marquis Haynes, or find one really good UDFA that fell through the cracks D.J. Johnson doesn't make the 53 man roster. A. he sucks and 2. he'd save $500k in cap space to get him off the roster.
  13. I'd take Devin Leary, NC State/Kentucky QB at 240. He'd be a solid backup, 1/2 game starter in a pinch type player. He's Sam Howell but cheaper.
  14. Historically Steve Smith is a terrible WR talent evaluator. I couldn't care less what he has to say about any prospect. But I see from comments here he mentioned Mingo, so I thought I'd go give a listen to at least that part of his nonsense. Wow. Just wow. Dumbest take I've heard in quite some time. 1. If 2 teams had Mingo over Dell I'd be shocked and would say if they did, they are on par with the putrid scouting department the Panthers have had over the last 3+ years and as putrid as Steve Smith himself. 2. A VAST majority of MIngo's routes were outs. Here's just ONE game chart of Mingo's routes. Hmmm, that sure looks like a ton of out breaking routes to me. 3. Even if he was correct in his assumption that Mingo didn't excel because of the scheme, which he wasn't, why would he think that a WR that can't win in 2/3 of the field is a good prospect?? He's an out breaking WR? So drags, and slants, and basics and posts, and skinny posts and in breaking curls he's not that good at?? He's an out breaking WR?? Ignorant. A prospect that he describes is a 6th round WR, at best. 4. The only thing worse than listening to Steve Smith talk about WR talent is listening to him try to be a commentator for an NFL game. The only reason he's still relevant in the least, is the fact that at any time he could say something so stupid or so controversial that it would boost ratings/clicks/comments.
  15. David Tepper - Team Owner Cam Newton - Team President Steve Smith - Director of Personnel Bhad Bhabie - Media Spokesperson This would be a great lineup for the Panthers, it would represent the state of the franchise, and this could be the new mascot...
