Still when one QB gets 98 out of 100 on the s2 while the other get an 18 on a position where they need to read different defensive schemes and quickly react to them at the pro level pace which is much faster than college play, would you take the guy base on that or on how strong your passing arm is? Having a low S2 score is no big deal unless you play the QB position that NEEDS to read and process plays in real time. Trey was still struggling with Kyles complex playbook even tho he was physically gifted with a cannon arm. With that said, i hold the s2 test in high regard when it comes to the QB ONLY, not meatheads who only task is to block or tackle. Bryce had the highest S2 score for a QB yet it means nothing for some fans unless he can pass for 300 plus yards.

Never said Baker was great but he went thru bad coordinators like swiss cheese so there was no consistently to adapt but the only game he got to start for the Rams he won it on prime time with a great HC/coordinator in McCoy who knows what he's doing. He was very good but most NFL teams want great physical attributes with big cannon arms as franchise QB which is why Brady and Montana were drafted so low yet both has notable intangibles while at Michigan and Notre Dame to games from behind under pressure. I do remember one game where CJ was under pressure which rarely happens since OSU was so good and he choked big time. Still I hope CJ will succeed in the NFL and not end up like Sam D with his big arm.

Sure buddy, Purdy was a 4 year starter for the lowly Iowa Cyclones so he has much more playing time in college than Trey which mean he more refine than a raw qb who barely played. Trey also has that "Average Joe" arm to match his body which turns most pro team off. He broke his wrist after it was swatted by a hand and wasn't from a big hit or sack. Surprise he was drafted at all. Wrong! Kyle NEVER developed but ignored him completely. The 49ers are SB contenders and needed a polish MOST NFL ready QB in the draft to step in and win NOW which is Bryce in a nutshell. Trey only played less than a season of college as he was out his final year due to injury so he was as raw as you would be trying to play QB but he was athletically gifted with a cannon arm that hype him up as one of the top prospect. Trey just needed alot of playing time experience which the Kyle cannot provide but WE CAN unless you think we are SB contenders just a QB away from winning it all? LOL
