I agree and a great post. I wouldn't want Carr on this team after all his choked jobs with the Raiders when they were so close to making the clinching the playoffs, he lays an egg.
-
You would lose too unless you mean with this team regardless on which QB you would have drafted. If Bryce and Purdy had switch teams, Panthers would still be 0-2 while the 49ers would be 2-0 with a better chance at winning the SB cause he can process Kyle complex playbook with ease. Bryce led Bama to a 13-2 record cause of his play and leadership which is why he was drafted number 1 duh.
-
Than you should have just signed Winston for just pennies off the dollars as I think he's still looking to be signed in order to save all those picks and keep DJ cause passing yards seem to matter to you guys so much. He will get them in bunches so everyone here can go WOW after he zings it.
-
Unimpressive as in no "wow" factor that most everyone here was complaining about after week 1? I have already stated last week that i don't care about the WoW factor that many seem to get turn on for. I hope Bryce average around 100 yards passing in his pro career so he doesn't worn it out without a single 300+ game to his name because passing yards does not translate to winning. Anyone who disagrees just don't know MUCH about winning football games. It's all about making smart plays even with a weak noodle arm, nothing else matters!!!! Those who raves so much about CJ 300 yards passing game yesterday likely drool over Winston 300 yards passing in the 1st half alone with that bazooka arm of his even tho his first pass in that game was a pick 6 Lol https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jameis-winston-tops-300-yards-in-first-half
-
No it doesn't when it comes to tossing 300+ yard games which CJ should and likely will have plenty more than Bryce. I care about winning over more than passing yards and if Bryce cannot pass for over 300 yards in his pro career, i still take him....do you know why? https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10067920-nfl-coach-bryce-youngs-arm-unimpressive-compared-to-richardson-stroud-levis

I agree it was mean and wrong for people to do that and they sound like trolls trying to get a reaction. Still when one QB gets 98 out of 100 on the s2 while the other get an 18 on a position where they need to read different defensive schemes and quickly react to them at the pro level pace which is much faster than college play, would you take the guy base on that or on how strong your passing arm is? Cj has a cannon arm while Bryce has an average arm like you and i, maybe even weaker as my arm is arm is kinda big. I know who i want....
-
Having a low S2 score is no big deal unless you play the QB position that NEEDS to read and process plays in real time. Trey was still struggling with Kyles complex playbook even tho he was physically gifted with a cannon arm. With that said, i hold the s2 test in high regard when it comes to the QB ONLY, not meatheads who only task is to block or tackle. Bryce had the highest S2 score for a QB yet it means nothing for some fans unless he can pass for 300 plus yards.

Never said Baker was great but he went thru bad coordinators like swiss cheese so there was no consistently to adapt but the only game he got to start for the Rams he won it on prime time with a great HC/coordinator in McCoy who knows what he's doing. And he pass for over 300 to carry the Bucs yesterday. Ever thought that had we drafted CJ and he failed to pass for 300 for us after 2 games while Bryce got those 30p yards game. I bet you the fans here including the clown troll would be screaming we picked the wrong QB again. We got the right QB and if he fails early on, it will NOT be on him but on the team and fans for being impatient. He is the next Brady as far as I am concern.
-
Yes that's what having a big arm can do and hope it will continue cause it would be great having a Buckeyes QB to finally break the failure rate once they turn pro. However, i would still take Bryce even if he stunk it up tonight cause I followed enough college games to know Bryce will be a winner in this league. Maybe not for the Panthers who tend to dump them due to their impatience. So was it Baker's fault he struggled for us yet he playing great now for the Bucs? We tend to go thru QB like swiss cheese while losing most of our draft capitol in the process needed to rebuild this team. https://www.mlive.com/sports/2018/01/tom_bradys_greatest_michigan_m.html

He was very good but most NFL teams want great physical attributes with big cannon arms as franchise QB which is why Brady and Montana were drafted so low yet both has notable intangibles while at Michigan and Notre Dame to games from behind under pressure. I do remember one game where CJ was under pressure which rarely happens since OSU was so good and he choked big time. Still I hope CJ will succeed in the NFL and not end up like Sam D with his big arm.

Wrong! Hurts was very good at Bama but Tua was better. Hurts was getting offers to start for other top programs so should he had stayed to backup Tua. What would you do? And what goes around comes around as Hurts had 2 clutched TD while under pressure to come from behind to beat the mighty Georgia Bulldogs, so don't ever say he wasn't good at Bama. Saban loved him and didn't want him to leave. And Hurts was in that draft class where 3 QB went in the top 6 where no other team needed another starting QB otherwise Hurts would have easily been drafted in the 1st round as well. Teams just don't draft QB that high if they don't need one. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/sec/2018/12/01/jalen-hurts-leads-alabama-rally-tide-beat-georgia-sec-title/2178245002/ And Sanders who played for both Hurts and now for Bryce said they have so many similarities like leadership and work ethics where they were the first to come in and last to leave among teammates unlike Buckeyes QBs like Fields and CJ who were the last to show up and the first to leave, so hows that for leadership? Yet it seems like most everyone wants CJ now after week 2 LMAO. https://tdalabamamag.com/2023/07/13/panthers-running-back-compares-bryce-young-to-jalen-hurts/

As a Buckeye fan or homer as you refer to yourself, who was the last Ohio State QB that was a successful starter in the NFL? That's why CJ was not taken. Hurts was roll tide and Bryce will follow in his footsteps in intangibles like clutch under pressure and leadership. Didn't you watch the Michigan game where CJ struggled so badly. And is it true that Buckeyes players has their academic tests taken by others under the table so they can graduate? I was told this that maybe you some share us in on? https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2023/4/21/23692550/c-j-stroud-s2-score-nfl-draft-ohio-state

Then who do you like?!?!?!?!? All you been doing ever since you been here constantly complain everyone you hate like the clown that you are, no pun intended. Name who you do loved on this team past or present RIGHT NOW and why?
-
Exactly as i watch the entire game and ATL shut them down in the 4th with Love struggling or more like chocking under pressure like he has done in college. Bryce has thrive in those situations making clutch plays under pressure for a top college program. That's why we got the right QB but now we need playmakers for him.
-
Then we traded for Baker Mayfield, who is playing well for Tampa going 2-0. Rhule then traded away a 3rd and 4th round pick to move up to draft Corral for only one injured season. That's what your Rhule bring you while he collected a cool 70 million to become our HC. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38292348/panthers-waive-matt-corral-part-post-matt-rhule-purge So anyone who blamed Bryce are morons.
-
Then thar bum of a coach/gm traded more picks including 2nd rounder for a KNOWN BUST in boneheaded Sam D cause he already failed 3 years as a starter. It wasn't like an unknown by sitting on the bench needing a chance to play.
-
LOL we have NO playmakers for Bryce so i guess its the QB fault. How long before you figured out Rhule was the wrong coach? I stated he was the wrong HC when he was immediately hired. That clown blamed Bridgewater cause Teddy question why the team doesn't practice 2 min situational plays and traded him away by including picks unload him LOL.
-
I agree it's waaaayyy too early but Ridder decision making and leadership won this game today as I watched the entire game. Bryce has very similar attributes and mature unlike Love when he was drafted. Only reason Falcons is 2-0 is that they have playmakers for Ridder while we have none. I still pick the Panthers win over the Saints.
-
Never like Geno's game. He reminds me too much of Sam D.
-
Considering how bad Fields is playing, our DJ got over 100 yards with ease. Imagine if Bryce had DJ right now. The question is how long before management regret trading DJ away.
-
Yes I did on giving up a 4th round pick for Trey. 49ers would have sent him to us than to Jerry's world. Much better then giving up so much including DJ.
-
I don't base it on one game like you seem to be. Indy defense is awful which is why the Texans can score on them. Bryce can so the same thing but better. If CJ was playing against a top defense...he would have picks that would make Sam D look good.
-
As a 2x SB MVP champion, he is allowed to do that. He is a winner!
-
After today's game....you will be glad we have Bryce over CJ the bust, like every other Buckeyes QB like Fields. Not a single great QB came from college program unlike receivers who makes the QB looks so good.
-
But most fans was comparing him to Cam. Even Cam acknowledged the similarities but he sure not playing like Superman. More like a bust...
