Its actually not too bad. It still in pre-release version and on Friday I couldnt get on to a server to play multi players but they have offline, AI modes so I could still play and figure it out. I played yesterday and it was not problem to get into a game. Balancing is always a challenge in every game. Im also not a hard core gamer dude so I just play for fun and I was having fun.

Only cause we scheme pressure. If we just lined him up on the line and rushed with 4 every play then that would be a totally different story.

From Peter King's Football Morning in America column today
CanadianCat replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think King is a pretty good national writer. I used to really enjoy his podcast when he was still with the MMQB. -
Anyone getting this? I picked up the preorder and its been fun on the PS5
-
I live in Canada so its probably a bit different here but I tried for months to get one by following the PS5 twitter accounts. Eventually I just called GameStop and they put me on a list and I got 1 within 3 weeks.

So when does Cam get the 'C' Back?
CanadianCat replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know we all love Cam but Cam stepping in off the street and getting the C right away.... I dont know. Im sure there are other guys in the locker rook that have been there all year that deserve it more. I would probably reward it to a guy that has been here all season and let Cam earn it next season. -
So about Jaycee Horn… any official updates?

Hows grade 11 going for you? Im just poo posting cause I dont want to work... I get what your saying regarding Horn now that we are super deep at CB but we need to keep a strength a strength. -
Reddick is the odd man out because we scheme pressure and play man defense. If we played base pass rush that a different story.
-
Honestly I think of the 3 on the poll Reddick is the odd man out. I think we can sign all 3 though.

1st off this isn't madden. 2nd Horn looked really good when he was playing. His college resume backs that up. We were lucky we stumbled into CJ and Gilmore. We have a strength at this position which benefits our pass rush. Lets not mess with that. -

I dont think we actually do. We have CJ, Chinn and Horn all on rookie deals. Gilmore is 31 so sign him to a 3 year deal. DJack I would sign to align with Horns rookie contract (4 year deal) then you can make the decision on 1 of them in the future. I actually think the timing of all of this works out very well. You can resign everyone now and kick that can down the road. We will know in 3 or 4 years if Henderson and Horn are who we thought they were. -

Lets not get cute. Pay them what they are worth. You need CB's in this league and you need a lot of them. We are in a good cap situation right now and these are the right guys to spend money on. -
I love the trade. A 3rd round pick is not worth a lot. I love that our team swings for the fences.

Fitterer says " We'll have to do something with Sam. "

Keep Sam. We are paying him already. Honestly is cannot hurt.. -
Carolina Panthers agree to terms with Cam Newton.

Honestly I dont think it ends poorly. Cam is back and the wounds are healed. If he plays poorly, we are in the same position we would have been in. I just know I get to cheer on Cam for 8 more weeks. -

I didn't want Cam back. I was ok to tank the rest of the season. Now Im fired up though. LFG!!!! -

I kind of agree with you. I dont think running coaches out our town is good practice. Everyone knew the situation he was walking into. Rhule knew it, which is probably why he negotiated for so many years, its takes time to build a program. The QB play and the oline has been brutal, but the rest of the team is actually pretty good. We can fix this. This season is a wash unfortunately..
-
I dont think that Tepper would hesitate to fire Rhule if he loses faith in him. 'Losing' that $$ wont be a factor in his decision.
-
Personally I think that the problem is that Rhule is a 'team builder' meaning he runs things like a CEO. Trust your staff and support their decisions without being personally involved. Its complete speculation but I think he allowed Brady to make the call on Teddy, Darnold and Erving and Elfline. Brady said he wanted them, that they fit the scheme and Rhule told Fit to make it happen and he did. Bringing it to 'my level' Rhule looks like he acts like a Project Manager. You delegate out work and trust that they will get it done. When it works you look good but when things fall apart and you are asked specific questions you dont know the answers cause you became too detached. This would make sense why he doesn't like to fire this staff. I think he over delegated to Brady and that entire side of the ball is falling apart and has now crippled the defense.
-
Just cause you made a list doesnt mean the list its fact. 1. I dont think we were the only team interested in Darnold. And the price for a former 1st round QB is always high. 2. Extending Darnold is logical IF you think he is the guy. The more its self is not bad, the evaluation / handling of him in season has been bad. 3. Anderson has played poorly this year but his previous seasons justified that signing. Plus its a short extension, which is actually smart. 4. Being cute in the draft.. now sure what that means. The draft grades on the 2 oline guys we drafted were pretty good. FA set us up to draft BPA - which is what we did. 5. Signing Erving and Elfline. I mean I dont disagree that they have not played well but they did address this position in the offseason. 6. Trading the MLB. Well he didnt want to be here anyway.. 7. Trading for Henderson. I still like the trade. Tremble is not as good as Arnold but he is not the problem. Sam wouldn't be better with him here.
-
It is expensive, but if you dont have an oline... you really dont have a season. 1 solid vet would already make a big difference.
-
I think thats taking it out of context. I think you always want a D Coordinator's input on offensive players. You want to know how they are difficult to stop, or what skills they bring that make them an asset. Snow is not providing input on how Sam can run the complexities of Brady's offense. Everyone just needs to R-E-L-A-X... logic is starting to go out the window.
-
I wouldn't see it like that. I agree, obviously, that the OL FA signings didnt work out but its not like we signed top dollar contracts that handicap us. We are took a flyer on Sam and that again has not panned out. We have to gamble on QB's. Even drafting a QB in round 1 is a gamble. I dont think what we did this offseason impacts a 4 year rebuild in anyway.
