Fitterer said he wanted a 'start up' mentality. Presumably this means that no position is safe and best player starts regardless of contract. In theory this is great, but given how contracts work in the NFL is this practical? Will the GM write shorter year contracts in order to be able to make it more affordable to move on from players when they under perform? How is this realistically carried out?

It was a good signing at the time. I mean we couldn't keep both. So Star was a big nose tackle whereas KK was developing into an elite interior pass rusher. In theory a NT is easier to replace. I dont blame GMan for Star dropping in production. If flipside would have happened, we signed Star and KK continued to develop we would be just as pissed that we let a pass rushing DT go (which is infinitely more valuable). That being said.. it is time to let him go.

100% if your employer cannot take a joke then its not the work environment you want to get into. I did this to at my last job interview. I HATE typical interview questions - yet I do get their importance. They asked the typical "what is your biggest weakness?" question. I responded, rolling my eyes and said "I work too hard, care too much and sometimes can be too invested in my job" Took a second for them to realized I was joking but basically from that point on I knew I nailed it

And that might be the case. You essentially need to have 2 ranking systems. 1 being best overall players 2. Being your draft board. The draft board doesnt always follow the rankings. It shouldnt... Thats when you get people drafting Roberto Aguayo.

MY preference?... thats different than the OP. But if I were the GM.. I would ask for advise from my scouting department.

He is a helluva a player. But if the team is taking a more analytical approach, positional value speaking, he is not worth it.

My local government just shut down the schools here for the next 3 weeks. Not a big deal for us as my wife's work also just MANDATED that she work from home for the foreseeable future as well. Crazy stuff.

I dont think it will be cancelled but maybe the event will be. Might just be a phone in event that you can still watch on TV

I had to travel for work on Monday (yeah I know...) and we load the plane and taxi out to the runway. Then we stop. The flight attendants walk down the isle talk to someone then go back to their seats. Then the pilot goes on the PA and says there is a medical emergency and we go back tot he terminal. 2 EMT's come on the plane and start talking to a 40ish Asian dude a few rows behind me. Then he gets up under his own power, grabs his carry on and walks off the plane with them, seemingly perfectly fine, which was the strange thing. Then the plane takes off with no mention of what happened. Totally eary..

About a week later we brought home this good boi!

Just an update here... we had to put her down. She was limping for months now and her leg finally seized up and she couldn't walk so we put her down.

Hey I appreciate the feedback. Yeah they mentioned the down time and that would be difficult for her. Like I said before, unfortunately she maybe only has a year or two left and with the heart condition she might not make it through surgery. She is compensating for it pretty good right now. She sometimes forgets and starts running and jumping but then she pays for it later with a pretty good limp. I think we are just going to ride this one out with her and give her meds as needed.

this morning it was bring and sunny then this BLACK storm care rolling in. It was pretty wild.

Thanks man. No surgery, we were also told he has heart issues and giving her surgery might make it worse. So we are doing the same. Shes a boxer cross so they really only like 10 years and she is 9 so we will likely ride this one out
