Dianna Russian: several teams interested in Bryce Young
Ricky Prickles replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly what I was concerned about. Great point! -
Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson
Ricky Prickles replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would wait on that assumption until he has had this off-season as well. This past off-season he was trying to fix a million things Fitt messed up. And yes he was a part of his team but nowhere can I find that Morgan was the final decision maker on anything at all during Fitts reign. -

Sucks as I had hoped for him to be here a few years but that's right and what he is becoming. Probably time to unload a very talented player who is probably going to bail on us at seasons end anyhow -
Predict the Panthers Trade Headline

You need two solid RB's on a roster. Brooks is unproven and worst case scenario Chuba should have a spot as a important as he currently does but that depends on what kind of money he wants. If he wants a huge monster pay day I would send him onward but if he is okay with something fair to both sides I would resign him. Seems like he would already be close to signing a new deal or they would be currently working on one if so but hearing no news at all so that might not be good for us and he may himself have plans to rest the market in which case we will lose out -

I didn't want him to go and believe at one time we could convince him to stay for something fair to both sides but after those comments he will be gone in off-season and might as well get something for him. -

You think they will offer us that much compensation? -
Bryce Young will start Sunday vs Broncos
Ricky Prickles replied to Samppson's topic in Carolina Panthers
My guess if I had to put money on your questions would be No No No Wish I felt differently but I have zero confidence in Bryce to really do much of anything at all as far as what a real QB does or looks like in the NFL -
No, we don't need to see Bryce Young again
Ricky Prickles replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well I mean, maybe it won't be fresh in their minds...? You're probably right, he can't look any worse. Fug it, throw him out there so I can have something to laugh at a little more -

But he has no future and I worry if we play him more, we won't even be able to get a 7th rounder for him at seasons end. Thoughts...? -
Seriously...? Sanders is a rookie and shows signs that he can develop into a regular contributor and you want to cut him now not even half way through the season in his rookie year?
-
I was wondering the same thing actually. I heard he was a blocker but Ive seen some pretty bad attempts at blocking from him so far.

You make complete sense and thinking about it from your standpoint is the best way to move forward as you said. Having him the rest of the season just because Bryce isnt an NFL QB and Dalton is struggling really does nobody any good in this wasted season anyhow. Any we are definitely not the Packers or anywhere even close thats for sure!

Can't deny that. The players seemed to respond to Wlks during that time. Would it have continued? Who knows but we didnt even give it a shot the next season and instead hired someone that was fired half way through the following. Could have been advantageous to have Wilks back for one solid audition seasons as head coach to see what he does or give him a few year deal that Tepp would have fired him from immediately if he stunk it up anyhow. Nothing really to lose there since we hired a head coach next that didnt even seem to care to be here coaching or have any personality or energy what so ever.

If I had to choose between Fields and Bryce, I would take Fields all day. He at very minimum does not play scared out of his mind and will throw a ball downfield further than 3 yards even if he is not the most accurate. He is at least a backup QB in this league that you could have. Bryce on the other hand is not a capable backup from what I have seen last season and this season.
-
If that's the case then we cant even trade him this season I guess unfortunately. Off season, Bryce should be traded for something but I can't imagine we are going to be getting anything at all for him potentially other than some player everyone writes off as a disappointment or bust themselves in an even swap.
-
I think they call that "drug" an offer don't they? You never know unless you try and who knows, they may feel Bryce could be fixed. Fields is seen as a let down and Bryce is younger so potentially some team may view him as fixable. Or I guess we can just let Bryce stand there and hold a clip board doing nothing?

Wasnt he nearly available in a trade a couple years ago when the Ravens were trying to work out his contract?
