“Keep a close eye on Belichik to Carolina”
Ricky Prickles replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hard pass please and thank you -
BREAKING NEWS The Carolina Panthers have announced their new coach. Former University of Louisiana coach, Red Beaulieu, steps in head coach for The Panthers for the remainder of the 2023 season. This news comes only one hour after the team announced the firing of former coach, Frank Reich. Coach Red comes from an impressive background. He led UL to several championships, with their only loss in 1998 to the SCLSU Mud Dogs. Red is known for his impressive, but yet secretive play calling, all written and contained in the same notebook since the late 70’s. Stay tuned as this story is still developing.

Well I sure hope he does. I mean if we all can see it why the heck can't the genius see it? If one is so intellectually gifted, they should be able to see past their own ego and do a very unbiased self assessment to check themselves and improve themselves. He is a smart guy so I just expect some things that he should be able to do. If I can do it with all my faults then I expect anyone to be able to swallow some pride and check the ego to do it as well.

If Tepper is smart he goes after Jim Harbaugh.
Ricky Prickles replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
He would be a GREAT guy to pursue. His attitude is exactly what we need. Also doesn't hurt he is a QB whisperer and could potentially help Bryce if he takes enough interest in him as a player and sees a future for him with this team -
Disagree with Field Yates. Tepper can do wonders by meeting and discussing job security with potential candidates. Tepper has to SELL the organization as much as the candidates have to sell him. He could better sell the organization by admitting he is a meddling owner as well as his wife and that they both plan to take a step back and let actual football knowledgeable people run the show. This may give many great candidates some actual comfort and reassurance. It's all about him selling the organization to actual potentially GOOD coaches. When you have fired Rhule and Reich in the way you did it's now your responsibility to market and sell your team to those who are trying to sell themselves in an interview as well. Tepper is a financial genius, I'm sure he already knows this but the question is will his ego allow it to admit his faults to himself and to figure candidates

I feel like he needed fired mid season to evaluate players and others now. Who knows, perhaps there is a wilks here who can properly motivate the players and scheme better and we actually get to see some guys shine and develop. What if one of them could be Bryce Young? I'm excited to see how the team does with anybody else at the helm and see if anyone turns out to be a pleasant surprise sort of like Foreman became

Give me a break. Tepper is one of the richest on planet earth. His wallet can lure most anyone and it will still just be pocket change for him. Money makes a huge difference in swaying someone here and we will have great options if we pursue the great options rather than settle on a coach like Reich or some fast talking car salesman idiot like Rhule. Tepper needs to let an actual knowledgeable person select the next coach and keep him and his meddling wife the hell out of it.

Frank Reich Fired as Panthers HC - Official
Ricky Prickles replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
I guess I was wrong. I didn't think he would be fired till next season just like Matt Rhule hanging around too long. So who is going to run our crappy offense now? Hopefully someone who will actually call some real plays and do some better scheming -
Bring back Cam? I loved him as well but come on man, his time is done and the poor guy can't do what he once did I'm quite sure. I wish we could have a young first year Cam all over again but it just isn't going to happen and we have to accept that era is over forever. I miss him too and know what you mean but I don't think he can be super Cam any longer

Honestly I don't even blame Reich for this
Ricky Prickles replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh I don't even believe there will be a coaching or GM change next season. I think it's going to be an entire next season filed with what we are seeing this season and am prepared to keep laughing at the comedy of errors. All we can really do is approach it with some humor and just take it all light heartedly I guess.....? I don't know any other way to approach it. If I approach it disappointed it will be years before anything looks better and that would be depressing in itself. Just keep laughing and send the pain below is all I know to do unfortunately -
Honestly I don't even blame Reich for this
Ricky Prickles replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm numb to it all now and just don't care anymore this season. It's easier this way -
Okay, so let's just give up and bubble screen our way to a loss when we KNOW that will NOT work regardless. Attempt to throw it past the first down marker at least. If you can't even ATTEMPT that then why even go out for the 4th down and might as well have just punted it right back to them on 3rd down
-
How about something down field at least past the first down marker to even have a snowballs chance in hell of keeping the drive alive
-
Hate to disappoint you but no changes are coming and we will have the same head coach next season along with more than likely the same GM. I find if I don't get hopes up and face reality the letdown will be so much easier
-
And not a damn thing will happen and Reich and Fitt will still be here next season book it unfortunately
-
Yeah right, he is not going anywhere and neither is Fitt. Both will be here next season as well unfortunately.
-
Why the hell did we throw that poo! Of course that isn't going to work! What the hell man!

Will Levis is not half bad for a rookie and he is not on that great a team. I figured he would turn out decent though all we heard leading up to the draft was "he is a douche bag" and "He likes mayo in his coffee" blah blah blah. I really don't care if he took his coffee with dog semen and sugar as long as he can stand in there and push the ball down the damn field but by all means let's worry about his mayo fetish.

PFT on Reich's status, Tepper's ownership
Ricky Prickles replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Unfortunately absolutely NOTHING is going to happen and Reich/Fitt will be here next year as well, book it. -
He could be an absolute BEAST with a decent QB who is aggressive and can push the ball down the field. Unfortunately we do not have that here.
-
This is obviously ridiculous but hear me out..... What about trading Bryce in the off-season for whatever we could get to a QB needy team that believes they could develop him and using what we get and our second to try to get as high as we can and draft one of the QB's from this year in the draft? Yep I know absolutely ridiculous but why the hell not say it just for fun
-
I have an unfortunate feeling the same staff will be coaching next year as well
