  1. I agree. I would just keep Dalton. He is no joke himself. Now if he could just help teach Bryce a thing or two that would be awesome. I guess he cant teach him size and arm strength but anything Bryce could pick up from him mentally about having confidence and some swag out there would be great. Bryce looks like he has zero confidence unfortunately. Having a counselor for a dad, I kind of of hoped he would be beaming with confidence in himself. I feel like its the confidence that makes him hesitate and delay that one or two seconds that hurt his game so badly this past season. Physical abilities are great but having the mindset makes all the difference many times. How many amazingly physically gifted individuals have we seen that were nothing short of a flaming turd of a QB in the NFL? Not saying having that mental and that confidence will make Bryce any better due to him not just having size concerns but having MAJOR SIZE concerns but it sure would help
  2. What you are saying totally makes sense but sometimes the tenth best receiver in the draft turns out to be amazing and a gem if your scouts are good enough to find some hidden gems much unlike we have not been able to do. If Morgan is good with scouting and his college scouts are worth a crap then they should find a good solid player even if they go WR. Did we overhaul the college scouting department hopefully by the way? Who were the guys in charge of college scouting anyhow? They were hopefully fired becauae we have been dismal at this for a while now.
  3. We need to just start Bryce and see if he has any chance at all of developing. If not cut bait and find a new one after next season. Dalton would probably give us more wins but if Bryce's destiny is to bust even with better coaching then we have to let him and get the best pick we possibly can.
  4. I hope the new leadership are better talent evaluators than what we have had. We have wasted tons of valuable draft picks and really dont have much to show for it at all.
  5. Isnt that sad when you think about it? 40-50 players away. Its almost comical but it is most definitely true
  6. he definitely has potential depending on what he looks like this upcoming season and how much he can further develop but lets face it, my bar is set pretty low as far as QB's go unfortunately. I mean I seriously got excited last year when I saw Bryce complete a pass that was over 15 yards. Im probably a horrible talent evaluator at this point due to anything getting me excited. Im like the ex con just released from prison after 10 years that will take any woman home that barks his way being so hard up at this point.
  7. I still dont like the extension of the regular season for that very reason. That and some old season records when broken wont mean as much now with them having an extra game to do it in.
  8. You are probably right. Reed probably will call it quits long before they can challenge that. Very curious to see what Mahomes will eventually do without Andy Reed's offense. Do they have anyone they can groom to keep his system in place I wonder? Someone who is worthy of leadership to take it over and keep going. Those guys make me jealous. They can trade away their best WR and STILL win Super Bowls!
  9. Time to break out the hyperbaric (spelling?) chambers! In all seriousness I agree with your statement.
  10. Im curious but who believes Andy Reid/ Pat Mahomes is the next Brady/Bellichek tandem? How many do you think these guys could win together?
  11. That evaluation of yours while I can tell is very true is none the less depressing. Mid-tier is maybe okay for a backup but not for us fans wanting to see us win a super bowl. Bryce seems like he is probably a nice guy but unfortunately that doesnt win games or complete deep outs or push the ball down the field. Bummer all the way around currently where we are.
  12. If prime Cam had those weapons the 49ers currently have, I feel as if he would have shouldered less burden on himself and had less injuries and a longer prime to his career as well as had even greater stats and won a few super bowls.
  13. yeah if he is keeping a Manning on the bench he must have something going for him for sure! Early entry to college explains his age and him having some time to still grow and this year to work on his accuracy who knows what he could turn into but does sound like a fun prospect to keep an eye on. We are Panthers fans so it doesnt take much to get us excited about QB's after some of what we have seen as far as QB play goes since Cam left.
  14. I want to see WR's, RB's (for whatever reason) and offensive lineman, edge rushers. Those arr always fun to me oustide of QB's of course .
  15. Its a start. Having a strong arm and athletic is definitely at least a start. I just looked him up and he is listed as 6'2 194 but only 20 years old so still has a bit more time to grow and put on some mass.
  16. I guess im going to as well. You all have me curious as to who this guy is now. Big arm and athletic is always nice! I take it he has some size on him as well?
  17. I see the point you are making and it makes sense. Purdy is a decent QB at this point in his career but not a top 10 elite yet. Agreed. Most top 10 guys probably would have smelled blood and closed that one out.
  18. hahaha! Could have been that or Kelce insisting that flats are better than drum sticks. Andy Reid of course appears to have put a few chicken wings away in his life and closes his eyes in frustration about to say drums are better but Kelce gave him no time and attempted to shoulder charge him
  19. I miss a QB with a cannon for an arm. I dont mean to poo on Bryce but every time he throws I just dont see the lightning pop behind it that makes me think he can make any and all the throws especially the deep ones.
  20. If thats true put me down for a no vote on Ewers next season unless he absolutely lights the world on fire and develops into someone who would have went first overall this year for next season.
  21. Having a truly elite QB is such a hard thing to obtain though. How many guys right now would you label a for real 100% elite currently? Mahomes for sure but who else would you say currently?
  22. I wouldnt blame the loss solely on Purdy and he has done a heck of a job from where he started. He may not be Mahomes or Tom Brady but he is a decent QB and has a future. Who knows, he may develop further and become even better each season. He gets a lot of hate and I dont really get it. He seems like a likeable humble guy and him being an underdog to me makes him easy to root for to have a good career (not against the Panthers of course).
  23. Thats pretty rough and uncalled for to do to that old overweight guy. He could have been pissed screaming without practically knocking the old guy down.
  24. Bid slightly higher I guess...? Not break the bank higher but slightly higher within reason maybe.....?
  25. I dont know what else to do if Bryce does not pan out next year either. I do like a few guys ideas of drafting a QB late every year in the 7th since 7th round odds are not great anyhow and you could find a hidden gem on a rare occasion. It doesnt overly excite me to go after a mediocre vet thinking we can fix everything either. We are definitely in a bad position if Bryce does not work out next season. Bad talent evaluations, bad trades for years and just plain bad decisions has really started to dig us deep down to the point that we have a heck of a long way to go to climb out of this hole.
