You are biased and just don't like Cam. Pretty easy to tell. #RealNews
-
How is your opinion not #FakeNews as well? Show me proof where Can specifically "ran him off". Yeah you are right, Cam had a meeting with the coaching staff/GM and told him he demands Steve Smith cut. Now show me where that happened since you were apparently there.

If Bryce were not with us? I would just run with Dalton this season. If we have Bryce still then of course him and if he is not cut out for the NFL then let him lead us to his replacement with a high draft pick. Other than that, I have no idea at this point. Justin Fields will probably be available but I don't think he is a world beater currently or maybe I'm wrong on him and he will play better on a different team if he is traded this offseason. I would consider also trying my luck with a draft pick late too on day 3 just to see if they could develop and we could get lucky. Worst case maybe we find a young good quality backup.
-
And Russell Wilson does not appear to be what he once was either. Better last year than the year before but still nobody I would go rushing out to grab if we were able to flip Bryce for a pick.
-
He didn't run off Steve, the coaches and our GM did.

He recently gave himself hell for that on his podcast. He regrets it and wishes he could go back. He said it was a momentary screw up and in a split second he didn't react as he should have. Unfortunate mistake in teg biggest of games but if not for him, they would have never even been playing in that game in the first place.

I think two of the best conversations I ever had was with Cam and a funny chance meeting Mike Tyson in the forum shops at Ceasars Palace buying my kid a cookie. Both Super Cam and Iron Mike are seen as jerks outside of their fan bases but two of the best most smiley good hearted people ive ever had the privilege of sharing a conversation with.

I did an under armor commercial with Cam years ago and dont see how anybody would ever want to swing on him. Such a nice guy and such a friendly goofy fun personality and not a bit of attitude about him in any way. No reason to disrespect Cam in that manor and I hope that one asshole gets a taste of a good sucker punch to his face one day as well.

I would be willing to bet there is some team out there with a late first or early second who feels they could potentially fix certain issues of his just by his name recognition alone. That and the fact that his book isn't completely shut yet and teg verdict is not completely known on him could very well get us a late first or early second for him. If that offered was thrown out I would have to very seriously consider it no matter how much I would get laughed at for drafting him one year and flipping the next.

Brown, that's who we should focus on signing long term. I feel like with proper scouting and coaching (which we haven't had in years) another Burns could be developed at bare minimum. Brown is here and putting in the work week after week no matter what and he will need a new contract soon. Luvu, if he wants to stay is worthy of an upgrade to his contract as well but I just can't seem to make myself believe that Burns deserves this huge pay day. I just feel like if we do we are settling instead of relying on better scouting and coaching. There are more Brian Burns out there in the draft, and there are some beyond him. Let's scout better and find the guys beyond what Brian Burns is at his best but I certainly wouldn't settle and hand Burns a blank check to write in his pay day.

How Would You Grade the 2023 Draft Now?
Ricky Prickles replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I feel like it's too early to grade it yet but if I had to grade it right now just by what I have seen, I would have to grade it a "Tree-Fiddy" meaning that as of right now from what I have seen so far I would pay $3.50 to the NFL to allow us to do the whole draft over again. -

So which one of you hillbillies is Forrest Quinn?
Ricky Prickles replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was actually born in West Virginia (Small town on the border of Parkersburg WV and Ohio) as embarrassing as that is to admit. No worries though, I got out of there before I started butt humping lost hikers, goats and cousins/sisters. -

His kicker strategy / onside kick strategy is obviously top notch. "They can't beat us with offense if they can't get on the field" is essentially what this football magician is saying. -
If we had scouts thinking along your lines in the past, im willing to bet we would have been MUCH more successful in our drafts!
-
This is exactly what im hoping for as well! We HAVE to become better at evaluating talent to draft better if we want to build a championship team. Dan Morgan was an intense guy when he played so im hoping he looks for desire, heart and nastiness when he is scouting. You are so correct in that analytics cannot show that when it comes to drafting college players.
-
This exactly! That HAS to change. We have to be able to build a good team through good drafting for a change
-
I don't know enough about each individual player in the draft or study it enough compared to some I see on here but for the love of God can we please start drafting better and scouting better! We deserve to find diamonds in the rough each year like other teams seem to. We have drafted so poorly the past few years and it's time for some smart level headed great scouting and great drafting. Get rid of the emphasis on this analytics bull poo because it just don't work and we have proven that. Get back to scouting real football players that play with heart and a nasty streak that teppers analytics and all his equations will never see or pick up.

I have to agree with this. Cam is in about a 3 way tie as one of my all time favorite Panthers and my son grew up loving him so he holds a very special place in my heart. With that said unfortunately he won't get in the hall of fame. If he could have had a good run of the 2015 season multiple seasons I would have said yes he probably will. Unfortunately his physical play hurt that ability to do what he did in 2015 multiple years in a row. I doubt he ever gets in to the hall but I love him none the less and he will always be one of my favorite Panthers and actually when it comes down to it probably is mine.

Panthers current Free Agents
Ricky Prickles replied to Leeroy Jenkins Ph.D.'s topic in Carolina Panthers
You never know, there might be something left in the tank there. Small prove it type 1 year veteran deal especially due to his age and current injury history. -
Going to have to agree with you there. Honestly it feels like over history having the number 2 or later pick for a QB seems like your chances are just as good if not better to get the best QB as well as it not costing you near as much to move up anywhere after that top number 1 overall pick if a team should so be inclined.

Draft Tez Walker!!
Ricky Prickles replied to Teddy2SuperBowlHeartBreaks's topic in Carolina Panthers
I dont know why he isn't but he SHOULD be. If he can physically make that throw in college then I expect him to make it in the pros and certainly if he was the number 1 overall pick. If he can do it, then I expect him to do it and if all of a sudden he can no longer then I have to find someone who can if im Dan Morgan -

We need to find a Puka Nacua in this draft for sure. Needle in a haystack is out there, we just have to scout better. -

Oh, I see what you are saying for sure and am concerned myself on many things regarding Bryce Young but it just shocked me to see that throw on tape as I have began to buy into 99% of the peoples posts on here saying Bryce essentially has an arm no better than my grandma's but that video showed me that he definitely has the ability to make the throw even if he isnt a strong armed QB. In other words, my hope had all but been lost but it gave me just a glimmer that possibly we could see an improved player next season if some things are worked on with him and also worked on around him (a line worth a crap). I dont have all the answers but sure would love to feel some sort of hope rather than just give up totally on next season as well before it is even close to starting.
