Past and future QB review with Dane Brugler
Ricky Prickles replied to Martin's topic in 2023 NFL Draft
I feel like its both his size/strength and his confidence but his lack of confidence I believe comes from the lack of size/strength -
I dont believe Bryce is the future at all but I also dont believe we should use a first on Sanders or Ward. Grab someone later in the draft or wait until next year is what I would do but if I were always right I would be a GM so theres that too I guess.

To end all questions, I think we should start him rest of season as long as he does not hinder the young WR's and TE's development. In other words as long as he does not go back to super awful possibly worst QB ever plays scared and afraid Bruce that we saw most of his career so far then let him keep playing this season and make a decision on what to do with him in the off season. If he grows great , if he stays the exact same as he is now with no more development then ship him out. If he goes back to classic Bryce then sit him again and at seasons end ship him out. If by some snow balls chance in hell he actually develops and looks good by seasons end then hang onto him. Simple as that really. He controls his own destiny on what happens to his career here is my opinion.

Not sure I LOVE it or HATE it but we needed more than 1 back to feed next season and Hubbard is in the equation. They must like what they see out of him and you need two backs these days who can move the chains. Maybe they feel Brooks can and Chuba can I guess. Sanders is gone anyhow and will free up some money. I just believe they have seen enough out of Chuba where they feel he fits the culture they want, they like how hard he runs and the effort along with the fact that potentially he is a locker room leader...? I havent heard one way or the other but they are perhaps viewing him also as a leader especially in the RB room and maybe he holds more value than we even know. This is Chubas one big chance to get a contract more than basic so Im happy for him and I hope he pans out. He was never a bum, he was a young RB that needed to develop badly and improve. We spent the time developing him into a reliable player and he is definitely home grown talent as far as his NFL career. Something tells me that he wont get paid and then slack. You can see it in his play style. He is a grinder and blue collar as hell. Guys like him have a strong motor, cause no issues, are low maintenance and just grind like a mother f**ker. Its not a horrible contract when you look at the numbers and the guaranteed money. I think he will surprise you how valuable he is and becomes in the future.

That's the word I was describing exactly. You are right, he doesn't have that "dawg" in him at all. That's disappointing because it seems like he has the talents to where if he did have that "dawg" in him that he would be even better out there and could be the top WR in the NFL. It's a bummer for his NFL legacy that he just doesn't seem to have that interest to be the very best.

I never understood the "He is overrated" argument on DJ. Nope, he is not the top in the league but the guy was damn good. Something about him seems like he isn't all in or all there as far as his commitment goes and leads me to believe if he was ferocious with his training and intensity on the field that he could have been one of the very best in the NFL. I definitely like him but it always seems and still does like a part of him is just doing enough to be good and he doesn't desire or care to truly be great. Just something weird there but his not all in effort with his career I believe he may have is still enough to make me take him back in a heartbeat because his production has always been there even though.

Cowboys Trade for Jonathan Mingo
Ricky Prickles replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope his career works out for him. I personally don't feel he is a very good NFL caliber WR at all and a complete wasted draft pick but no reason to hate on him. I don't know what kept Mingo from putting it together and becoming something here but I definitely think it was time for him to move on away from here especially with Coker's potential coming to light. I sure hope that 4th rounder we got for him is used on a pick that will make a difference with the team to somehow feel better about drafting yet another WR that just didn't work out here. -

Cant trade him this season without cutting other players for cap room so he will be around at least the entire season.- 128 replies

What he said. This will probably be his only chance to capitalize on a larger payday in his career so he won't be giving any sort of deal to us and I would call him foolish if he did. It's about money first especially in his position and somebody is going to be willing to overpay him which puts us on the outside looking in. He will be gone and we will be needing to draft his replacement in the later rounds unfortunately.
-
Even if he left Chicago, I doubt he would be dumb enough to come back here after we burned that bridge with him by trading him to move up to select our current what appears to be biggest QB bust pick blunder in franchise history. Want DJ back, sign Fields to compete for a roster spot in the off-season and hope he requests a trade out at which time hope Chicago takes a late round pick for him (obviously not happening) to make up for the stupid deal we gave them to trade DJ to them.

Can We Not Over React to This One Game??
Ricky Prickles replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
The win was a win. It wasn't stolen, it was an earned win. At the end of the day the team with the most points won and was better like it or not. As far as the rest goes yep, our team sucks but it doesn't mean you can't be happy they beat a hated division rival. I'm not going to stew in misery for all the years it takes for the team to improve and actually compete each year for the playoffs. Might as well just sit back and enjoy when we do get a win while bitching at the things we don't like that the team does and debating one another. Not much else to do. -
Yeah those simply have to stop NOW. Can't develop young receivers or tight ends if they are injured from floating hospital passes

CarolinaHuddle vs r/panthers
Ricky Prickles replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've only got one account but this is like my third one. I got my first two banned for telling a mod where to stick it. He got his pee pee sore pretty quick. Now I just don't acknowledge him but he still knows where I think he should shove it so all good -
Ehhh, I never liked his hiring much anyhow. It was funny to watch him fired mid season and not that he cared either way. Telling your boss how stupid they are for their poo decisions is part of the fun when you work in coaching.
-
I understand that but he still had to give a poo because it was his job. If he wasnt going to then step aside and quit but he wanted to get fired to collect that big check. Im not condoning if Tepp did say he had to take Bryce, im simply saying even so Frank still should have did his job to the best of his ability and voiced his displeasure along the way with ownership so he isnt held responsible when they began to suck.

Can We Not Over React to This One Game??
Ricky Prickles replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't know who that is currently. Dalton hasnt looked amazing his last couple outings and we know Bryce isnt the future and will probably at best make a backup QB one day if he improves. Change them out each game based on who is sucking the least maybe? -
Da Coach Killa strikes again
-
Thats why he should just start the rest of the way and if he does not significantly improve from today until the end of the season then we need to ship him on out of here for whatever we can get and be done with it for good.
-
Thats something I have to fully agree with. Ive seen Bryce throw up some scary hospital balls to his intended receivers at times over the past couple seasons.

I don't consider myself a stan but I still think dude needs to start some more and if he does not show weekly improvement ship his ass out once and for all. Some of the anti Bryce people (I am pretty much) consider someone a stan if they don't blame every single last thing on Bryce even if he wasn't even on the field from what I see sometimes but we all see things from our own biased point of view I understand and realize of course. -
True but, he still didnt give a poo at the end of the day. Whether he got his guy or not, he didnt give a poo and it showed all the way up until he was thankfully fired.
