Nothing wrong with Bryce having his faith and being proud of it at all. My issue is that the Lord isn't throwing passes for him on Sundays. He HAS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND PUT IT ON HIMSELF TO GET BETTER, BE MORE AGGRESSIVE, FIGHT HARDER, HAVE MORE FIRE IN HIM etc..... the Lord isn't going to do that for him as there are guys on the other team praying for them to have a great game as well. He should pray that the Lord keeps him safe out there and helps him unleash the monster within him when he plays fearless. The Lord is not dropping back throwing the football, he must and he must take over and be a leader but I just don't feel like that's going to happen with him. Nice guy but not at NFL quarterback.

I don't care to have him as our QB any more than anyone else but I see us keeping him the entire year and him playing the entire year as well as battling for starting QB next training camp. He is on a rookie deal and if not traded, I don't think he is going anywhere anytime soon. Bryce's confidence and mind appears to be completely gone. He seems afraid to now throw a pass further than about 4 yards. This team is in a really bad place and we all know Bryce no longer starting or playing begins to fix things and push things forward in a better direction if even for the development of our young WR's and TE's but I just don't see it happening. We are going to hump a dead mule until it's completely rotted to the bone and that makes take all this season and ext before you see any permanent changes at the quarterback position.

Hey buddy, I am so very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Now because of seeing your post I want them to win this one tomorrow in a huge way. I'm sorry again man. I lost my father as well so I know the feelings you are now having. Guarantee you that your dad will be expecting you to fight on and now prepare to lead your own family as he obviously lead his family well. He is still with you, you just carry him in your heart now.

And according to Cal it still haunts him but like with everything else in life we take the good with the bad. He had a split second to make a decision and did not do what he needed to do as has been said by him in interviews with regret. Every great athlete has plays or seasons where they feel they fell short in the careers unfortunately. If it were not for him, the team would have never even been close to getting to that huge game in the first place also. It was very unfortunate for sure but I hold zero animosity towards Cam.

God what a badass in his time. He proved size didn't matter when you had a nasty fire inside to rise above. He played in an era when they could physically kick each others ass on the court at his small size. Now that was one bad ass dude.

Someone give me a scenario of what they think this team would look like if we could go back in time and last season we drafted rookie Cam Newton out of Auburn instead of Bryce. This team is not without talent on offense at all. Some of our receivers last week would have looked like world beaters. The Taints would have been so flustered when Cam passed and ran all over their asses they would have been backpedaling instead of of coming forward at us the whole game is my belief. Give me this exact team with Cam and all his fire and confidence and attitude and it would be infectious. We would see fire from many more guys and willing to bet that defense would have even looked better (maybe not great) being more rested.

Aside from Bryce's physical limitations that have shown, the biggest issue I see is his mentality, his lack of aggression, his lack of confidence in himself and his lack of any sort of leadership abilities and just no edge or chip on his shoulder. Even when faced with adversity he does not seem to respond with anger or any sort of fire in him to go out and fight to prove them wrong or even attempt to lead. This is all most alarming to me. Football and most every sport is 90% mental and 10% physical this I swear no matter what it appears spectating. I've seen, played with and known guys who were the top 1% in red of physically gifted with supreme genetics in the world to be a pure dominant athlete but no attitude or fire inside at all and went nowhere even at the college level. I once played with a guy when I was a freshman who was a senior that was 6'7 350 pounds great athlete, strong as a sasquatch and body fat extremely low. A giant hulk of a guy at 22 years old and the dude could not even start on a very weak SEC team that had no O-lineman even come close to sniffing the NFL. He had no fire in him and was routinely pushed around by much smaller guys. Nice guy that looked like a great football player but couldn't play the game to save his life. Should have just tried out for the WWE after college. People disregard the mentality too much and it's all that matters. Bryce could have absolutely overcome his physical limitations if he has the strongest mind in the NFL. Unfortunately due to his severe physical limitations he would have had to have the strongest mind in the NFL just to make it but he still could have. His issues are not just outside in his physical stature and that is minor compared to his immense limitations inside of himself. He seems to be a very nice guy and the type of guy you would be okay if your daughter brought home but this alone does not make a QB leader with fire and a chip on his shoulder to prove he is the best with a gun slinger mentality that knows he can get it done in the NFL.
